GTA IV (and TBOGT)

What about TLAD? Don't tell me you haven't played it, because you should!

For me personally hardest has always been "Learning to Fly." It is essential to continue story and I'm usually stuck on this for months. At least on PC I can use trainers to disable timer and make plane damage proof. Now that I'm gonna replay SA on PS2 - I'm f*cking terrified when I get to this point in game.

Other GTAs never gave me much trouble, except maybe "Publicity Tour" of Vice City as well. But  HD era GTA are super easy games..

As of today, I don't have any trouble completing missions in every GTA game that I possess, except VCS perhaps since I didn't play it as much as the other titles that I have on PC.

As a kid though there were a bunch of missions that I couldn't complete which would sometimes frustrate me so much that I would want to punch everything next to me.

GTA III: Not a lot of missions as far as I can remember,

Mike Lips Last Lunch caused me a little bit of trouble back in the day, I wasn't a very good driver so avoiding accidents with other cars was kind of difficult for me.

Bomb Da Base: Act II, this one was the most difficult, I couldn't aim properly and 8-Ball kept dying so since I couldn't complete this mission I decided to explore the map trying to access Staunton Island which eventually worked, I took a firetruck and managed to glitch through the fence of the subway, which allowed me to explore the entire map and make me forget about this mission for a while. In the end I just went full Rambo mode by going into the boat killing every Cartel member with my weapons, I used this tactic in a lot of my following playthrough.

Waka-Gashira Wipeout, not a very difficult mission but the fact that some of the guards were using M-16 scared me, I ended up driving close to them so that they would notice me and shoot them because they were blocked by the walls of the parking lots.

S.A.M. because shooting the dodo was a little bit difficult, funny thing, when I played it on mobile I ended up getting six stars (the police helicopters would not leave me alone) when I made it back to land it was hell on earth, since those tanks destroy everything in one hit, I drove next to the coast of Staunton Island at full speed where I managed to pick a police bribe next to Kenji's Casino, from there I went to the Pay'N'Spray and finally got some peace, it was intense.

Vice City: Again not a lot of difficult missions,

Demolition Man was very difficult because I couldn't fly the helicopter for sh*t, but once I completed it after like fifteen tries, the rest of the game felt like a real breeze.

The Driver, I failed this one maybe the first three or four times but once you know the right path, it's not so difficult I think.

San Andreas: just the regular missions that were a pain for most of us I suppose,

Wrong Side of the Tracks, because I couldn't get enough of that mission failed cutscene.

Learning to Fly was just a pain for me, I remember I ended up downloading a save file so that I would skip this one as well as N.O.E.

I never had any real trouble with Supply Lines, the first time I played it I couldn't fly properly so I forgot about it and luckily it's not a story mission, so once I mastered flying planes and helicopters this mission was easy.

VCS: Now this one is what I consider to be the hardest GTA game I have ever played (on PSP), a lot of missions pissed me off,

Boomshine Blowout, driving that forklift around without crashing into the debris was really difficult and that camera angle ugh, this is one of the first missions of the game and it gave me a bad feeling about what was coming next when I first played it.

When Funday Comes, I just couldn't drive that quad properly, the sensitivity was way too high for me.

Jive Drive, aiming was a real pain, and even after I would complete the first half of the mission Lance kept dying over and over, I f*cking hated Lance in this game, I was happy at first when I saw that he was back, it did not last long.

Papi Don't Screech, f*ck Umberto's dad, in the end I just watched a video of this mission so that I would take the proper road without being noticed.

Money For Nothing, just driving that van with whilst every cop are on you was difficult.

Snitch Hitch, either I or Lance would always die somehow.

From Zero to Hero, I could never pass the bridge section so I ended up using cheats on my first playthrough.

High Wire, I hate this stupid mission, picking that car is way too hard.

Turn On, Tune In, Bug Out, f*ck this mission. Last time I played it I got like 5 or 6 stars, I was trapped on the roof of Downtown's police station with no car in hand, I don't remember how I did it exactly but I managed to steal a car quickly enough before the FBI would shoot its tires off and managed to make it to the Pay'N'Spray, what a relief.

Say Cheese, I couldn't drive the jet-ski correctly, I would always fall into the water and fail because of the time limit, I have so many bad memories from this.

Farewell to Arms, I just couldn't aim right with those damn PSP controls.

The Exchange, again, couldn't aim for sh*t on PSP, plus driving that truck for the next part of the mission is just impossible without it ending up on fire. I hate that mission.

Out of all the GTAs I've played, VCS was definitely my hardest and perhaps worst experience hands down, and I definitely missed some missions in my list, every time I think about it I remember all the frustration I've gotten while playing it, I'm sure it's because of the PSP controls but some missions are just way too difficult, the NPCs are so deadly, especially when they pursue you in a car, and even more so when you have enemy NPCs and cops as well on your ass, thanks Rockstar for not disabling the cops during certain missions it sure helped. I like the story of this game and I think it's one of the better one of the 3D era but all the frustration and hours spent on some missions come back to my mind whenever I think of playing it again, I finished it like four times I think, 2 times with cheats and 2 times without, and I still don't want to play it again soon even though I last played it 3 or 4 years ago.

GTA 3: Rigged to blow is a mission I always dred doing, It's just the time, added with the fact you have to get to portland, and also added the fact you go through Salvador territory.

Vice City: Vice city is honestly one of the more easier games in the franchise. I'd go on and say Demolition Man, but honestly during my current playthrough of it I knocked it out in one try, but one mission I never hear mention is Publicity Tour, a mission where if you f*ck up once it's a game over

San Andreas: Every single mission from Zero gives me nightmares, I hate that nerd so much...

GTA V: I don't really know, to this date I find GTA 5 as the easiest game in the franchise. Most of the missions didn't really bug me that much. So, idk I'll just say Third Way f*ck it.

"High Wire" in GTA VCS was the hardest mission I have ever done in a GTA game.Even way harder than GTA 3's "Expresso to go".

Air Raid for the win, by a mile for me.

That being said - Supply Lines and the other Zero missions might be just as hard. I don't know because I've never completed the first one.

I had big trouble with Bomb the Base Pt II on III as well......I think I ended up cheating by giving myself a rocket launcher to complete that one.

As you can probably tell, I am not good when a mission requires long distance manual aiming at speed!

By contrast, I've never had trouble with any of the rhythm or driving missions (including Wrong Side of the Tracks)

GTA III - Espresso to Go.  I remember the only way I could beat this one was to pull over and RPG the stands because my car would blow up if I tried to run all of them over and I couldnt find another fast enough car to finish before the time ran out.
