it WON'T be the same effect. You mean the Worn Baby Blue buccaneer which is indeed a nice lowrider (if u let it as it is,without the ugly white lines)

i put Ice White Pearl too but ist way too different

@ulrak

that wasnt meant for you, but all im trying to say is, worn paint DOESNT look like a crappy spray can paint job.

Yeah, its supposed to have nothing to do with matte or satin finish.
But it doesnt look worn at all (on the non rusty vehicles), it looks like a really nice satin paintjob.
We just call it worn, because you mostly see it on all the old rusty cars in game.

Apologies to you amigo, my bad.

This car was spray painted red.

Looks like red worn paint to me, and it looks like sh*t.

"Story about spray painting a car"
How do people not see the diffrence between a crappy spay paint without laquer, and a professional matte/satin paint job...
Seriously?

WTF are you on about?

Nateassassin showed the crappy red spray job with confirmation that it was crappy.
He pointed out that the cars colour looked worn and that it looked sh*t.

I told him how to do one less crappy.

Worn colour has nothing to do with a matte or satin finish either.
its the UV damage that causes bleached colouring to the paint pigments.

Leave your car in the sun long enough and the colour leeches out.
Entirely dependent on the type and brand of clear coat you apply.

A huge part of doing paint jobs in a fashion other than your standard clear coat over base is the technique of the painter. How accurate one mixes the hardener and reducer ratios also makes a big difference.

It is also possible (and somewhat common) for a satin/matte finish to be applied properly, but still look crappy purely because the base coat was laid out improperly underneath the clear coat.

Yeah I agree. And good maintenance too. In days gone past cars were washed and waxed regularly. It's not bad at reducing the UV damage and helps maintain those lacquer layers.

Jobs turning out crappy still, that's why I'll do the thin coats over thicker ones. if/when I f*ck up one I can take it down and hopefully rectify
My biggest problems arose from the humidty as I didn't have access to a proper drying room.
So many cloudy coats in the past because of a shift in temp and RH.

TBH it's been a few years since I put down a coat of paint on anything. Kinda eyeing up a 110 landie rebuild in the future.
I miss a kitchen full of oily car parts, although the mrs doesn't. :D

The different speed reducers help counter that humidity issue, but I know all about trying to pull off a good paint job in sh*tty conditions. First paint job I did was my first car (before I even owned it). Did it in the owners garage at his house with the door open. The car was straight black so getting a good sealer and base layout was no issue. Nibbed it down and threw a couple more dust costs on. The key was laying down 5+ coats of clear and taking the time polish the whole car 3 times. That bit of work after the painting has a huge effect on the look and how long it lasts and that's where people usually cut corners, resulting in sh*tty jobs.

In-game, matte with pearls tend to look more like crappy rattle-can jobs, while worn seems to me to look more like a high end plasti-dip job. And I'm sure many here know how popular plastidip is at the moment, especially with younger generations.

You ask this because of the post in the Hotknife thread hmm? Well for me its the ultimate color, all of the Worn cars are much better than the sh*tty Matte colors we can barley use on anything.

Matte colors are unbelievably sh*tty.

It hast the most unattractive shader ever. Would have been better if it just didn't have that yellowish pus-like shine and it was just purely opaque like the Baller LE and Armored Kuruma rims.

Not a fan of Matte colours either, they look really wet to me.

You know a game's gone to sh*t when it's target audience (allegedly adults) are arguing about car paint.

Not much else to do.
lol, what a sad statement, I feel sorry for you dude.

If I ever saw a painter hand mixing paint to paint my car, I'd be gone in seconds!!

I doubt even Earl Scheib hand mixes paint anymore....

Only on PC, there is a menu that has different animations on it, the leaning one is one of them.

How do you get worn dark red on ps4?

The only "legal" worn dark red car I have on PS4 is the worn red Peyote. I can tell you how to spawn it if you want.

You can get a few on the street, on PC you can do a glitch to get them but in general everyone that has worn cars got them from PS3 originally. (Or from the race glitch) which has happened about 3 times,  since next gen launch

You can apply spray paint on your screen and add gloss borrowed from your sister, each car will be worn dark red.

Even your character will be.
So as your emails and sh*t

Most of the hype is because worn dark (plastic) red is rare.

If we had a "Utterly disgusting sh*t brown" only accessible via a glitch, you would find guys say it's the best looking color in town.
