Since we are on topic of future mods, how about some Vanilla Works vehicles?

So Thundersmacker...

After the Vapid Retinue, What's next in your magic hat full of tricks?

The Rapid GT Classic is probably going to be next. After that I'm going to give my favorite mod a update.

Speaking of Vanillaworks, I do have the Schafter GTR and Dominator Classic files thanks to Da7K. So those might come later, we'll have to cross that bridge when we get to it.

Ooh, I'm looking forward to replacing the Sultan RS with this (unless I already have).

But I'll tell you hwat, we rather do need a better host for GTA IV mods. I mean, the mods are great, it's just that downloading them is too risky - Avast just had a fit blocking like three pop-ups. And that's a change since a few weeks back.

Yeah I've been noticing that as well on the site, even with an ad blocker I still get irritating pop-ups.

Unfortunately, GTA IV mods are nowhere near as popular as they were before GTA V came out. So no one wants to dedicate a site to IV mods only when there will be barely any activity aside from maybe two modders who are still modding IV. (me and GCT) This is the reason why GTA4-Mods shut down, there was hardly any new mods being uploaded. And when someone did upload a mod there, there mod would be stuck in admin approval for ages since the moderators were more focused on the V mods site.

So GTAInside will have to do for now, but if anyone has any suggestions for another site to upload to I'm all ears.

I have no problems with pop-ups with AdBlock Plus and NoScript installed on Firefox.

NoScript can be a bitch to configurate and use -it prevented me from using my credit card on a local online store for months- but once you get used to it, you don't get any pop-ups anymore.

I have a request for anyone who has the new Forza Motorsport. Can someone send me some up close detailed pictures of the engine area of the Toyota T100 Trophy Truck? I would like to know what is all going on back there.

It would be much appreciated.

I'll just leave this quote here.

What about a street-ready Vapid Contender (Toyota Tundra)?

-snip-

Sorry for the big ass image. A front bumper, stock fenders and smaller, alloy wheels with street tires would resemble a normal Toyota Tundra (and a shortened wheelbase would make a perfect Toyota Hilux counterpart).

I never really considered doing the Contender/Tundra. It would require about the same amount of work as the Comet Classic to do it right.

Time for some British class and elegance, here's the Rapid GT Classic in progress.

rapidgt_1.jpg

Wheels are placeholders at the moment, unless you guys think it looks good with them on there. If the wheels don't work, then I would love to hear your suggestions for wheels to put on it. This car will have livery support and a colorable interior. There isn't much in the way of optional extras but the front splitter, and fog lights are included.

And in case you're wondering, I'm not going to even think about putting those stupid muscle car mods on there. That stuff doesn't belong on a British classic.

The wheels look good imo.

But there will be some parts from LSC as an extras, right?

Keep the wheels. Classic British sports car deserves some good mesh wheels.

Here are the final wheels for the Rapid GT.

rapidgt_2.jpg

They are based on the V8 Vantage wire wheels, but they are not exactly the same since this is a GTA car. I think they fit the car rather well personally.

The wheels look good but I'd prefer either some classic DBS V8 style steelies or classic wire-spoked wheels.

The fog lights are optional extras.

But there will be some parts from LSC as an extras, right?

The only part that is a optional extra from LSC is the black front splitter. However the front bumper ends are also removable, which I believe is another LSC mod.

Honestly, there really isn't any other LSC mods that I like besides the splitter so that's all I'm adding.

Wish I could get back on my projects, but I haven't worked on anything in a couple weeks. A few days after my gfx card died, my backup monitor crapped out on me. Sigh.

SCOOP!

EFLC_2017_11_06_16_08_39_56.jpg

Got the V8 hood scoop on now, so there are two different hoods that will spawn like the Lynx.

The only downside is that the other extras like the fog lights and splitter will only appear one at a time. So you'll need a trainer to mix and match the other extras together. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Along side that little annoyance, the method I'm using for a colorable interior does not work with liverys. (the interior is technically a livery so you can't have both together)

So instead of ditching the liverys or colorable interior, I have made a separate model that has the liverys and a non-colorable interior (black). Replacing the color slot for the interior is colorable wheels to add to the classic racer look that the liverys give.

EFLC_2017_11_06_14_09_45_07.jpg

It'll do.

You could've done the colorable interior the way I did my Voodoo.

Oh well, no biggie. Looks great man!

The license-plated Super GT looks intriguing. Do you edit the Super GT yourself? Also, do you add license plate to any other unlicense-plated cars as well?

That SuperGT was an experiment for a new trick I discovered with OpenFormats, which can allow the adding of new parts (like license plates) while perserving the original bug-free mesh.
