I wrote a new, ridiculously long carcols line for the Stirling GT with colorable interior. Is based on real colors of the 300 SL, and it includes essentially ten body colors and six different tones for the interior. Which equals to sixty () different combinations. This time I passed all the data through random.org to avoid two consecutive combinations with the same color, but in this case, with sixty different combinations there are a few consecutive ones.

At first I had my doubts if such a long line could work ingame, but apparently it does. I also wanted to replicate the colored part of the rims as well, so in each combination the body and rims share the color. I wish the colorable part of the rim was just the center like in the real car, but hey, nothing is perfect I guess. I like the current colorable rims anyway.

Use it if you want. It includes two new colors, make sure you add them to the list. Their numbers come from my own carcols list, you may need to ajust the numbers to your own carcols list. Nothing that can't be done with Notepad and its replace function ;)

And because I was bored, I also wrote a new carcols for the Torero. Once again, based on real colors of the real life equivalent. Much lesser options though, is not much bigger than the original carcols line of the car. Once again, the new colors may need adjustment depending on your custom color list, if you have one.

That's cheating, and by the way, using colors on a forum isn't that bad (especially since there's an option for that). I'm gonna be nice and use blue for your eyes

I was using this not this (lime scout main anyone ?)

I mean I didn't make some windows xp contrasted windows style. (if you want your eyes burned that's also a good thing to try)

To go back on topic I can't make EPM work, i did the mistake to use an auto installer, thing is i got no glitches to report and no idea where it is.

So maybe it's installed and i just can't figure out how to make it work.

Writing everything with neon green or neon blue really doesn't match with the dark blue and blue grey of the forum. I'm sure you're free to do that, but it doesn't mean you have to or that you won't be criticized about it.

I can understand that, is that blue too much thought ? That would be surprising.

That being said do you use EPM by any chance ?

Do you have Scripthook.net installed? You also may not have the right code for the car (the number that appears when you press numpad 8 in game.) With my cars though the EPM is set to automatic, so you need to set the time to night or turn on a rainy weather to see if the lights come up.

Yeah i do have it installed, let me check that car number.

I reinstalled everything, the script is working, the number is right, i guess i just need to configure it correctly now.

EDIT : Hell yeah look at that :

Hey by the way, i just noticed a weird thing, when going back, the rear lights do turn on but the light reflects on the hood of the car and not behind, down on the road

It's actually an old lighting bug.

I just remembered a little glitch that has always been bugging me. Whenever I go reverse in a vehicle, the front area of a car becomes slightly lit instead of the area behind a car. This is an issue in both vanilla 1.0.7.0 game version and after installing nkjellman's Graphical Bug Fixes with VisualIV on top. I haven't tested the older patches, so I can't tell if this has ever been working correctly. Is there any chance you could fix it?

Look closely at the hood

So it's not about the cars but it's about the patch ? Damn. It makes sense since it does the same thing on the infernus classic, i'm gonna test the vanilla cars

Ah yes, that bug. I remember I was testing one of my mods a few years back and noticed it. I tested some of the original cars after that and noticed they had it too, so I guess it's a bug with the game engine or something.

Well at least i know i gotta look somewhere else if i want to fix that.

Infernus classic working well with EPM good thing you're both here because i just had a crazy idea. Since epm allows different moving parts for a vehicle, do you think bringing the rhino in gta 4 could be possible ? EPM could allow the turret/gun and the tracks to move, that would be dope, but i'm guessing it would require a lot of work.

I don't think that is remotely possible, EPM is mostly made for air-brakes and popup lights. You can make moving parts for an airplane with EPM, but nothing for tank tracks or turrets as far as I know.

Besides why go through all the work to make a tank when TBOGT has the APC, which in my opinion is much better.

EPM isn't a very complex script, it can't handle things like a tank turret. It can only move certain parts of a vehicle using the same dummies meant for the doors, hood and trunk. Besides that, someone already made a tank script for IV, but is very unstable: http://gtaxscripting...yle-gta-iv.html

As useful as EPM is, I wish someone would make a script that extends the pop-up headlight function that the Hakumai has to any vehicle. I would like to be able to have the pop-up lights functional when NPC's are driving in traffic, and when you turn the brights on during the day.

Yeah that's the thing, i'm pretty sure it could be possible but the amount of effort needed to do it might be too much. And somebody already used that script to import the rhino but it's poorly done, not worth a shot IMO. I mean, i'm this kind of guy who worship well done stuff but i can't even remotely be interested in something that looks like a work in progress.

I'm considering trying to learn some stuff for modding gta, but i've got a lot do learn.

Pretty sure that reverse light bug has been in IV since the beginning. Even unpatched, straight off the discs it was there.

It doesn't have bumpers and the trunk lid in its hierarchy now. I though it was possible to attach extras to the moving parts, no? Or was there no way to combine meshes that go with different parts into one extra?

IV doesn't have enough extras, so to make all the parts extras, he had to do it the way it is.

Like Nico said, the public release of the updated Warrener has been uploaded. I'd like to again say thanks to Boywond and Carrythxd for the new Annis badges, they do look good.

There is no other way of doing it unfortunately, although I'm pretty sure we discussed this when I originally re-did the Warrener.

Back on topic, how's your Rebel-Runner coming along?

I haven't even started on it.

Speaking of new mods, I'm going to be taking a break from modding for awhile. I'd like to focus on some other things, and have time to come up with new projects as well.
