There is a lot to complain about. If we all keep these issues on everyone's minds, and raise public awareness of them, there's a better chance they'll get fixed. Other people will see the discontent over these things, and maybe contact Rockstar about them.

I could make a list of these problems as long as my arm, but I'm not going to.

About us being on a forum. If I was enjoying the game a lot, I'd be on the game playing it all the time. Instead I'm on here, talking about the sea of BS this game has, with complete strangers - if that's not an indication something's wrong, I don't know what is.

-shark cards
-buggy game even after all this time
-no dedicated servers
-limits on sertain things that do not make much sence
-bad support site
-no anti-cheat
-bad communication between R* and fan base when talking about common general isues

I only never complain about shark cards because its better then payed dlc...all other complains...yea...i agree completely with the reasoning behind such complains

You could. Good luck.

Well, I've done a search for titles such as "what do you like about GTAO" and "your favourite thing in the game" and found nothing, so nobody could accuse me of being unoriginal.

Well, they could, but, there's evidence I'm not...

Wish me lu...oh you have.  This is awkward.

Over the last year my love for Rockstar has dropped a few percentage points. It's now something like 85% love : 15% hate, but in the past it was 90/10.

On the one hand they keep on releasing new updates and introducing innovative gaming mechanics like VIP and freemode event modes, new cars, yachts, stilt houses, etc...

But on the other hand, they don't do any housekeeping, which is really frustrating. Just think of the dozens of little things that have never been rectified - like the continuing saga with the incorrect car classes, for example.... In an ideal world Rockstar would have developers working 24x7 on bug fixing and correcting all the little niggles we have with the game, but in reality all those resources are allocated to producing the next big thing, which is really great, but mostly focused on generating revenue for Rockstar.

I can't think of another R* game I've played.  I think it's just GTA.  And not even all of them.

I reserve the right to whinge about stuff.  I try and make it over-elaborate or sardonic for amusement purposes.

I've played every GTA that ever existed, just maybe not the handheld Chinawars thing?

And RDR, L.A.Noire, Max Payne 3... pretty much everything they've ever done, so that gives ME the right to whinge about their games. And I don't do it sarcastically either - I try to gather my thoughts and get my point across. If we tried to do that a bit more (instead of bickering like this) it would be much easier for Rockstar to pick through the scraps and see what the real issues are. But everything's so clouded all the time...

That's what 90+% of their player base is asking for though.  Look at the YouTube videos that get attention, week after week and month after month.  People would wet themselves if Rockstar opened the casino, but if they fix a minor bug that was introduced 18 months ago, most players don't even notice.  I don't really blame them for prioritizing the stuff that keeps people playing.  Calling them "greedy" for caring more about the money spigot is missing the point.  In the alternate reality where they made the game super-stable and de-prioritized updates, we might have never even gotten heists and the DLC would have stopped by now.  That's wild speculation of course, but I suspect it's true.

For better or worse (often for worse), you need to try to enjoy your yacht and worry less about minor-but-annoying-and-months-old glitches, because as a community we are choosing the former over the latter.  There's stuff that bugs me - for instance the 3rd person camera angles of the BF Injection are screwed up and make the car feel like a toy; this started when current gen came out, and I sold my Injection months ago after finally giving up that it would ever be fixed.  Most people don't know about this, and even among the ones that know, most don't care.  And that's why Rockstar doesn't fix it.  But I sold mine, and bought something new from the DLC instead, because I'd rather enjoy the game than obsess over this car I used to love that I now can't stand to drive.

Why is there so much hate for Rockstar and GTA V? I know there are plenty of things that could be improved but I love this game, probably more than ANY other game, but thats my personal opinion. Why do some of you guys have so much hate for R*? I mean, you guys are on the GTa Forums for christ sake. Yes, they do some "wrong" things imo that could be fixed, but they are still the creators of my favorite game.

People bitch and complain mostly because they are unhappy in other aspects of their life.  If the game is that bad, don't play it.  Find something else.  It really is that simple.

So - called "hate" is the only tool players have to try to get Rockstar to fix things. It is not massively effective, but it is all that can be done. It will be used, regardless of the few delicate flowers who can't bear to see anything Rockstar does criticized.

This is unfortunately the product of capitalism.  I am a huge baseball fan and went through this with MLB the Show.  Year after year they add new bells and whistles (look you can see all the hairs in Dustin Pedroia's beard) but still haven't fixed the mechanics of player movement from the very first version.  The hours it would take to fix that and the fact that it isn't the sexy sort of thing that sells games means there is no incentive to do it.

Same for Rock Star.  We all know new content that people can buy is what motivates some to buy Shark Cards.  No one will buy these cards because the game runs cleaner.  If anything, I am shocked at the number of fixes they actually do.  Can't say I have seen any other game where there have been so many bug fixes that were then communicated so transparently to the gaming community.

DAMN YOU R*! Greedy focks releasing free additional content on a fairly regular basis, and damn them if they get an extra penny over the games 2.5 years of existence. Aaaaarrrggghhhhh!😲

You're right about that. I spend way too much time looking at the minor bugs and getting frustrated about them instead of just relaxing on my yacht with my copious amount of helicopters, pegasus vehicles, 5 high-end properties and 50 cars - but I do that a lot too, don't worry mate :)

In an ideal world, perhaps in a decade or two from now, Rockstar will have a tool that allows us to log in and make our own minor adjustments to the game. Perhaps a sort of GTA-pedia that allows us to submit ideas, e.g. the Sultan RS should be categorised in the Sports car class, followed by a voting system similar to global changes on Rate Your Music, for example, and if that vote is accepted, a change that is automatically implemented into the game. Perhaps we would be able to make changes to the aesthetics of building exteriors, for example, using on-site paint tools, which would, again, be submitted and subjected to voting before being automatically updated. I guess this is just a pipe dream though and we'll just have to wait for the programmers to correct the biggest bugs and errors in the next update.

Microtransactions are the cancer of the videogame industry.
Any 'have to pay for extra DLC' bullsh*t is the TRUE cancer of the videogame industry. Any microtransactions that provide an exclusive ability/item/option are the TRUE cancer of the industry (even tho I like those the most, because I love using exclusive, paid for content, to wreck broke ass whining kids and their generic content.) 😏

A totally optional microtransaction, as R* is using, is the best possible outcome for any game in today's industry. Seriously, some of you really need to get a clue. You will look far less stupid. Rather than bitching about something so damn irrelevant in the greater scheme of things, and removing all doubt.

There are no micro-transactions in GTA.  Micro-transactions are those "pay to advance" things that you pay a small amount of money for, and get a tiny something extra in the game, hence the obvious use of the word "micro".  Shark Cards do not constitute micro-transactions.  If you're gonna complain about something then make sure you know what you're saying, or your complaint just turns into comedy.

micro transactions can be a cancer for a game because there are games that havetio items that could of been in there but were used a dlc or micro transaction e.g the horse armor on skyrim, the different skins you could get on street fighter 4.i think shark cards are for those who work long hours or have a family so dont have much time to grind but people dont like it and so complain about it.in the most unlikeliest of  scenarios there would be a card that would give you everything for free once(but people as always would complain) and it would cost like over $100 just to buy.but very very unlikely indeed.

Probably one of the best game I've ever played. Really well made. Just the fact that I am still playing 2 years later means a lot. Yes there are few problems here and there but in general it's cleary a good game and Rockstar is doing a good job. Yes it's profit driven like any other companies(especially a public company). Just look at how GTA Online was when it came out and now. In my opinion, it's a lot more fun and well made now then it used to and the best part, I didn't pay for any updates in 2 years

I don't understand the hate. I understand criticism but not hate from someone on GTA forum. If you hate rockstar and the game why are you on a GTA forum. Maybe there is a reason and I don't see it...

Well, outside of the obvious trolls, not many people actually hate V yet still post in the V/Online sections. A lot of criticism and frustration gets mistaken for hate and then you have clown who like the game completely and cannot fathom anybody making one complaint about it.

Financial support for the game? Rockstar are some greedy f*cks. They use cheap P2P servers just to save money, even though they used it in IV, and it worked fine. The game still runs on sh*t servers, but shouldn't Rockstar be using their money to invest in better servers?

Oh, and then they use false advertising as a way to elevate shark card sales. Your pathological thinking is astounding.

I think it's like this:

If a guy says, "Olivia Wilde's super hot." And his friend replies, "Yeah, shame her boobs are small." The subtext of the reply is, "If her boobs were bigger she'd be some near-ideal sex goddess." and not "because her boobs are too small, she's fugly."

People bitch about GTAV/O with the subtext being, "The game is near perfect, there's just such and such flaw." and not, "This game sucks."

Olivia Wilde's super hot.
