You can just search door or light or whatever in OpenIV.

Hello. Is there any way to run max without administrator pemissions every time in order to make gims evo work? I mean if i run it normally it throws a window with long list of errors (didn't read all, but mostly about inability to access files in windows directory) unless i run it as administrator which is annoyng. Not sure if newer gims versions caused this or that i reinstalled windows recently, but It used to work before with no such issues.

Edit: Also noticed it's not working offline anymore as it tries to re-download itself every time (that's why administrator rights required) So my question is more like how to make it work without re-downloading every time.

Are you using Windows XP or something? GIMS doesn't need to go into Windows directory at all.

At least, tell me your Winwods and 3D MAX versions.

Also, try to use manual install archive.

Got a problem when exporting a series of objects. I also have a texture dictionary in my scene that has references to all the scene "Models" in the Models list.

Here's my error:

I'm getting a "Wrong version resource" when I import a model. I'm aware there's probably been a few updates since I last used GIMS but what can I do to update what i'm trying to import so it'll be compatable with the new version of GIMS? Do I have to remake it all over again? Sorry if this has been asked already.

If the model was exported with old GIMS or OpenIV, you can't import it.

Win 7, max 2012  x64. Dunno what i did, but today it fixed by itself, so i can't reproduce the full error window, can only tell it was something about accessing temporary files in windows directory. Thanks for advice anyway, i'll keep it in mind.

Probably, you have temp directory somewhere in Windows. Full error window would be helpful, because it contains full file path.
