depends on where you are and who you are though really. I don't think the Swedish po-po would trace my pictures, but I'd still rather f*cking not. internet hasn't always been my best friend so to say.

I might post some legals soon though.

edit: your stuff's choice af, love. I can only dream of having a steady arm like that.

edit 2.0: it really joys my heart seeing this thread in the new content. lets keep it up, boners. share graff stories (anything rly, running from popo, beatrn by old men, spilling paint on yo fav loafers etc etc anything goes)

ill edit in a cute lil text here tomorrow when I sobered up.

i started a graf thread on here theres some stuff in there worth looking at, ignore the title though it was just ;graf' but some ponce changed it to something gay

i did a beach scene in my mates garden last summer turned out alright, ill see if i can post it

as for stories, got  so many lol, graffiti is such a weird pasttime....can anyone think of something akin to dedicating time to just painting n sh*t? you get nothing from it theres no monetary gain and if youre clever its only ever you or a few close friends who even know your moniker, its something very very personal

until you go posting pics online obviously lol but old pics are fair game... and new names....say no more

I rarely ever do grafitti anymore, but when i do i do it at night. I just love how quite it is, and i usually challenge myself by climbing up somewhere just to tag it. Used to do lots of bad "things" when i was younger, but i dont regret any of it. Since i live in a small town now with 15k people, i once wanted to put my signature on every street.. Yeah that quickly went bad lmao.

@ohno: trippy quoting yo haha

hell yes! these dicks I'm drawing are f*cking adequate though, no kidding.

ah, I knew DOOM (only capitalized thang i written for a while yo) must've been bombing london back in the days. if there's one thing I love more than pretzels, it's celebrity graffiti. I once saw a looptroop piece from ninety-something in Stockholm.

edit: oh sweet, thought you meant he had been bombing like in the KMD era, but still f*cking great.

edit2: goodnight, its 3 am and my alatms set to 6.30!!!!1!!1 :sui:

On every street in town, looking back at it i should just have done allcity but im lazy as f*ck and this town isn't even big at all. Btw i can respect a well made penis drawing haha.

i agree about DOOM mate, but tbh i think now hes older and a family man it must be harder to maintain the persona, i also think he would rather release nothing rather than anything sub par..he had produced for bishop nehru and that jj doom wasnt bad. Wish we would have got the DOOM and ghostface colllab tho

looptroop? nice man, and yeah i dont capitalise anything else lol

First jam I went to was back around 1998/9 when I was a kid. Took the bus with 2 mates. Smoked my first joint there, lol. :p  It's the oldest (or at least claims to be) running graffiti jam in the world. It's been running for nearly 25 years! Organized by Rask/TDA Klann if I'm not mistaken.

Here's a 25th anniversary piece they did at Roskilde festival in Denmark.

I always seem to go through slumps where I'll stop writing for a while, get the urge to pick it up again, go hard for like a month straight and then stop again admittedly usually due to winter because I'm a lazy bastard. Was talking about it with my friend the other day and the conversation veered off onto painting trains and he came out with some dumb sh*t like "it's bad because someone has to clean it off and we pay taxes for it" and I'm just like "so the exact same sh*t that happens when we paint any wall" bare in mind were sat in a place surrounded by a good four years worth of pieces/dubs/tags/etc we've done. I don't know why but he's never seemed to grasp the concept of painting trains or even been keen on trackside spots where in my eyes a good trackside spot is going to be seen the most, nevermind a f*cking runner on a train - like Aper said in Nothing Special "I painted that panel two hours ago and it's already on the internet". I've touched a few freights but passengers/metros are the pinnacle imo, I can see why he wouldn't be into it given the BTP lately and SMT crews sentences or the loss of life (buzz raze wants ozone etc) but at the same time I'd be lying if I said I hadn't scoped sh*t out to the point I know I'd have about 7 minutes to do a panel on a Grand Central train and then another 14 to get to a place where I can take a photo of it running during the day, or that you get 4 minutes on a morning when the Metro terminates at the end station and changes to the return service and anywhere from 5-10 depending on the time of night - all just a matter of having the bollocks to do it.

When I painted I did freight trains. They were relatively easy to do especially on a quiet Sunday morning. I wouldn't dream of doing them now. I've been dying to get back painting but would only do legal walls now. I don't know...I heard of older painters give up painting illegal stuff when I was a younger writer and I didn't understand it. I thought they pussied out but as I'm older now, I respect that choice. Some writers love being a vandal, I never thought that was end goal for me. Getting up but making nice art on otherwise mundane things was closer to my goal. It's an arrogant notion to go out and enforce your art on some wall or someone else's property, no matter how beautiful it is, its still goes against others principles and property owners that have to deal with it, when they didn't get a choice in the matter.

I think that's one of the key elements of why I would be less inclined to paint illegally. You're not giving people a choice. You're painting on something whether they like it or not.I don't want to be such a c*nt that forces my will on other people.

I don't have much issue if someone else goes out and does it, I'm just personally speaking for me. I also don't mind if the property is in obvious disrepair and someone paints it etc, But if it's a sloppy throw-up on some independent shop, it just looks bad. I would rather the artist get permission and make something outstanding, rather than a  quick sloppy throw-up.

I would love to get back painting. Maybe will try that the end of the summer.

For myself it's always just been about getting it out there as much as possible no matter the medium, maybe that'll change as I get older and whilst I do enjoy a good piece to kill scraps now and then for me throwies (or dubs as they're called here) are the most enjoyable imo - you can spend 3 hours on a piece that can be taken out in seconds or absolutely hammer a stretch of trackside/town/etc with dubs/tags etc. I think it's just something engrained in us hence why even if you haven't wrote in years you'll spot a fire escape to a roof and think it's a good spot or haphazardly stare out of a train window looking at the trackside spots.

I do appreciate legals but for me half of graff is the danger; tracksides, motorways, running, hiding all the sh*t that makes it enjoyable outside of putting up a moniker; 20 mile hikes, petrol station food and all the shenanigans that come with it. I woke up a little earlier than normal this morning so I did some cleaning up, found some unused tins of rusto's with stock caps which then ended up as a quick trackside throwie for the first time this year at f*cking dinnertime. Sounds like an easy one until you're halfway to the spot, it starts pissing down, getting nettled getting to the fence, ripping your jacket climbing said fence, having the stem of a cap snap and spitting paint everywhere, trying to paint a dub whilst checking ever changing train times and tripping over old bottles of booze and rusted paint cans somehow still there from the last time you hit the spot.
