The Wonder Years, Brand New, Turnover. They're the top 3. Hard to rank them though.

Runners up: La Dispute, Neon Indian, Chvrches, Pvris, Real Friends.

You know what... Just over a year later, I've come to the conclusion that my whole "I don't really have a favourite" is horse sh*t.

It's easily Ozzy, with Babymetal following close behind. Don't even know what I was thinking back then to say Ozzy isn't my favourite.

It's not that I don't like the others I listed, but I just don't feel like they'd stand up well over time compared to these two. I'll throw Metallica in as an honourable mention. Only really decided to delve deeper into Metallica recently (after years of saying I'd look into them more), but what little I had heard so many years ago (their mainstream stuff, things like Sandman, MoP, ect...) has stuck around.

A page ago I posted Inepsy. But I can't really just pick one band when there's so many great bands, so here's my 5 favorite in no particular order, each kind of representing a favorite sub-genre of Rock/Metal.
Cacafuego, Aura Noir, Motorhead, Sodom and Inepsy!
(Although my love for Cacafuego is a bit biased because of it being a local band, if it wasn't for that, another Stoner band would take it's place, either Duel or Void Cruiser)

It's easily Ozzy, with Babymetal following close behind.

Yeah yeah, you've probably got something to say, and I've probably heard it before.

Seriously though, I'd rather take three girls dancing around, singing in Japanese with some heavy riffs in the background than some dude screaming for 4 minutes. I just don't see the appeal of it. I mean, if you want to bash BM and those who listen to them, whatever I guess. I'll listen to stuff I like because I like it, not because some 'metal elitists' made up some rules that agree/disagree with what they do/who they are...

I'm certainly not going to pass up a vocalist like Suzuka just because of the group she's in, as far as I'm concerned her voice is up there with the greats.

You do know that there's plenty of real metal bands that are fronted by pretty girls, right? Nervosa, The Iron Maidens, Arch Enemy, Gallhammer(who are also Japanese), Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult, the list goes on. You know what would be interesting? An all female cover band of Macabre a lá The Iron Maidens. :D

And as for my favorite artist, aside from the one I already posted, I f*cking love GG Allin. His sick lyrics, his f*ck you society and I don't care what you think of me mentality, and of course, his chaotic, and blood and sh*t covered live performances. I find it amusing how he mutated over the years. He started out as a snotty punk kid who wrote songs with immature and offensive lyrics, and evolved into perverted and violent scumfuc who wrote even more offensive songs. A first timer would probably find it hard to believe that the vocalist in this song,

is the same one in this song.

He also made som p dope country music.

Well aware of that, I was just showing my distaste for so-called music that's nothing but screaming for the entirety of the song with heavy riffs in the background, a bit of screaming is fine as long as it's tasteful like...

But yeah, my problem isn't with men in the genre or a lack of women, my problem is with the talentless bunch who scream their way through entire songs.

To try and keep the post on topic... I guess I could throw another honourable mention out there, keeping the theme of female fronted bands.

I knew no one would mention him or his band but mine is Travis Meeks / Days of the New.

Too bad meth destroyed his life(he appeared on the A&E show Intervention).  You guys should check him out, probably one of the most under appreciated musicians out there.  Days of the New(name of his band but mostly his solo work) have three albums: Yellow, Green, and Red.  I suggest checking out their Green Album, front to back it is such a solid album.

I've been listening to Oasis since last year. I gotta say, these guys are great. Nice lyrics and very uplifting songs, they probably top Nirvana in the best bands of the '90s (at least for me hshsh).

Really hard to just pick one, mainly because I listen to a lot of different genres and all have great artists. But these are a few of my top artists off the top of my head I guess...

Hank Williams Sr

Ozzy Osbourne

Queen

Ice Cube

Jose Alfredo Jimenez
