Haven't thought, that this icon will be in a tool itself, that's why I slightly edited it to make it less cheesy. Also, not sure if this "style" look decent in the tool due to dark colour palette. I sent PSD via PM.

I think so. Your icon is overflowed by characters and doesn't looks like icon of folder.

Status update:

I'm still working on RPF support and it's close to the final state.
But there's a serious bug: My FileStream says, the RPF file is already in-use by another process, so I can't open it as ReadWrite.
Probably it's something easy, but hard to find.
If I won't fix it within the next 10 minutes, I'll go to bed anyway, so don't expect something today :)

Edit: Fixed the bug.
Edit 2: Now there's a new bug related to the key. It looks like I didn't implement the key right, so it will probably take another few minutes :D But I'll have to fix this tomorrow.

Status update:

I fixed the key stuff and finally got the archive to work.
Yes, seriously, I managed to get it to work :D :D :D

Now, I'm still working on some ways to display the files inside the RPFs (mostly UI stuff)

I'll share some screenshots probably even this evening.

It's still hard to display the list of files. (Actually it's not, but converting the existing code written for this *** DevExpress-Lib is annoying and harder)

Probably I'll redo some parts of this code tomorrow, to simplify things for me.

 

By the way should I display the contents of the RPF list in a listView with big items (like I display the gameDirectory) or should I display the stuff in a listView with details (like OpenIV does)?

Both ways come with their ad- and disadvantages...

Here's a screenshot. The current displaying system simply is a mess, but the way how the list works is awesome. I'll have to tidy things a bit more up, but I'm quite sure that I can show the very first UI tomorrow.

I today thought a lot about the UI stuff at school and I guess I'll try to use WPF in the future. But functionality is currently more important, than design.

I'll have an interview tomorrow, so please don't be sad, if I can't publish something. Keep in mind, I have a real life and need to work on my future, sometimes :D

Nope, it won't be taken down.

Actually it's what I'll do after I finish most of the filetypes.

I'll convert the files to IV formats (as it's the best researched RAGE game), convert these files to V formats and edit all the archives and scripts in V.

It's not related to GTA:Online and a single player only mods, so Rockstar won't stop the development probably.

I'll also create HD and 4K textures (remaster things / also sounds and stuff like that)

VinIV actually isn't a really great idea. It's like porting IV to SA. Converting SA to IV would be way more interesting and probably even look better. :D

(Or IV to V)

They won't. Their behaviour wasn't acceptable. But they won't take down single player only mods. They just took down GTA:MP and FiveM.

I am not sure. I know that there will be some problems with the shaders. I won't try a RDR -> GTA IV conversion, but a RDR -> GTA IV -> GTA V version, because RDR -> GTA V could be too hard.
We'll try the simplest way.

Wow saw your thread just now , excellent work so far !.

Was in the stage of reusing Twisted's source code myself , but jesus christ that damn devexpress garbage is so annoying and the code is really messy.

 

My main goal was to extract the XDR files or .RSC85 (found the tag for the terrain_tile files) to export the terrain with working uv mapping to import into gta 5 as openiv progresses on that front.

 

Since the xdr format should be really analog to any model format minus the specific rage types. Vertices, faces , normals uv's etc.....

I need some 16x16 fileicons for use inside the tool.
They will be displayed right before the name column.

Could someone create some different file icons for different file formats?
Maybe don't use the typical shape of a file icon, but just some content-related items (like a picture for a DDS file) and a very small folder for a folder icon)

That would save me a lot of time and I could release the RDR Explorer like 1 or 2 days earlier.
I'm now in contact with PrograMan and this will probably improve model / fragments research a lot :)

Couldn't you probably resize it and stuff? I mean, the folders I gave you use shapes instead of images, so that should be easy.
