I'd go with either the Residential District in Anywhere City or Sandy Shores, San Andreas.
What area in any GTA would you most like to live?

In one of the smaller mansions in Starfish Island, Vice City. Or in Mirror Park, Los Santos.

Toni Cipriani's safehouse @ Cedar Grove in Shoreside Vale... Nice digs. Easy access to the ghost town and the airport.

If money is no object: Westdyke in Alderney. --> peace and quiet, and not far from city, if you need to be there.
If money is an object: Steinway in Dukes --> quiet place near train stations.

I still remember seeing that Liberty City panorama on IV's website so long ago. That southern tip of Algonquin right in the center of it - definitely in one of the buildings there.

Middle Park if money isn't an issue, in one of the apartments in Middle Park East.

Mirror Park, Los Santos.
Nice low crime area with well maintained houses the average person could probably afford.

I was going to make a new thread asking this very question before I found this thread!
For myself, there are a few places in the GTA series which look genuinely nice to live in. I'd say my top pick would probably be the Red Light District in Grand Theft Auto III:
It's a weird choice, but I think the old style buildings along with the bright neon lights really make it look like an exciting place to live. It really has that old 1970s New York feel, which is either a good or a bad thing depending on how you look at it.
Honourable mention also to Queens in San Fierro:
The hills, the kind of market town atmosphere to it all, and just how bright everything is makes it one of those places in the game I just like to walk around. It's definitely one of the most relaxed areas in the whole series, and looks like it would be a great place to just hang out.

If the GTA worlds where real I would live in Del Pero in one of those houses like the ones near Dr Friedlander's office.
Yeah same here. I prefer houses/homes over apartments and especially near the beach.
Preferably the one on the far left but I like the one with the cool stilts next to it to.
Same here as well. As soon as I saw Michael meeting Franklin and Lamar, I thought to myself "wow, what a beautiful area". I definitely want to live there.

Franklin's house in Vinewood Hills.
My favourite safe house in hd universe.

Middle Park, so that I could live with the "Cheesy vaginas!" hobo.
