Grand Theft Auto III is a open world game that's give you a chance to complete a mission in many ways - so - here is list of all special possible ways to complete every single mission in the game

(list in progress, so share you ideas in comments below)

Portland Island
1.Give Me Liberty
Very first mission in the game. When you see word "liberty" in mission name, you may expect a lot of opportunities of doing it. But not this time - this mission can be passed only by one way.
What we have to do here is very simple - just drive a EC Teal Kuruma with 8-Ball to the save house and then to Sex Club 7 where we meet Luigi. There are some rules about this mission:
- blowing up, flipping or drowning a car will fail this mission, same as getting busted or wasted
- You can't fail this mission by going out of the car and just walk off. 8-Ball is a very patient guy, he will wait :)
- You can't get any wanted level in first two minutes of the game (like really, it's just not possible to get wanted level till 6.00am).
- No matter what, 8-ball will not exit the vehicle (except for cutscene where he and Claude change clothes and when you flip a car)
- The same cutscene is a checkpoint. If you die (or just fail this mission) after this cutscene, you will respawn in extacly the same place where blue marker, near safe house, was placed. You will also keep your weapons and money.
- You can use Pay 'n' Spray if you want to repair Kuruma. But the EC will gone and replaced with normal random color
- You can use crusher to destroy Kuruma with 8-Ball inside (mission will fail as you may expect)
- It's not possible to trigger any R3 missions; rampages and Toyz-missions
- It's possible to glitch this mission by using cheats and keep prison clothes for rest of the game (not really TBH, because you cant trigger any story-mission just some side-missions)

Luigi (Leone Family) - Red Light District
1.Luigi's Girls
Super-simple mission. Grab any vehicle you want (boats are not working :< ) and go to the hospital, where Misty is waiting. Take her back to the Luigi, and... that's all.
- You start this mission by diving into the marker with EC Teal Kuruma. At this point of the game you can keep this car.
- Misty is a smart and very strong girl. She knows how to exit a vehicle, so don't be affraid of some knocking. She also know how to fight when player (or she) is attacked. She have A LOT OF strenght.
- Only ways to fail this mission is killing her or killing or getting Claude busted

2.Dont smack ma bitch up
Again, not much of using creativity. All you have to do is take a baseball bat,  kill a drug dealer, steal his car, respray it and put it into garage.
- Getting wasted or busted will fail this mission. Same as destroying drug dealer's car
- There is no need for taking a baseball bat marked on the minimap
- You can kill a drug dealer in any way you want
- You can respray a car in any Pay'n'Spray you want, but only one in Portland let the mission to continiue
- Drug dealer will alway see you. Even if you come from behind. So, no way of sneaking in.
- No special effect by using Police Car, Fire Truck and anything like that.
- To finish this mission car don't have to be in mint condition
- You can kill these two girls without failing a mission

3.Drive Misty for me
Another simple mission. Just grab any car from the street and go to the marker. When you get here, just use a horn and she will show up. After that, just go to the another marker and... you passed another mission!
- You can fail this mission by getting busted, wasted or killing Misty.
- Dialogue is the same, no matter what car you will use
- If you exit the car after pressing horn, Misty will run to you, instead of walk.
- Misty knows how to exit a car and again, she is super strong.
- At this point, we meet Joey. No need for doing any other mission for Luigi if you don't want 100% completition

4.Pump-Action Pimp
- nothing yet

5.The Fuzz-Ball
- You can use coach to take more girls at once
- extra $2000 bonus if all 8 are delivered

Marty Chonks (secret) - Trenton

2. The Thieves
- nothing yet

3. The Wife

4. Her Lover

Joey Leone (Leone Family) - Trenton
1. Mike Lips Last Lunch
Fun mission. We have 6 minutes to grab an Mike's Lips Idaho from Marco's Bistro, mount a bomb, get the car back in mint condition at the same place where it was at the beginning and trigger the bomb.
- Exploding or flipping a car will fail this mission; getting busted/wasted or running out of time too.
- Car have to be in mint condition and in good position
- Mission can be started only between 5.00 and 21.00
- Idaho used in this mission is stronger than usual
- If you do any dent to the car you have to fix it by going into Pay'n'Spray (garage at save house will not repair it)
- Pay'n'Spray will only fx the car, without spraying it with another color
- If you do everything allright except for triggering the bomb, and time will pass out, the mission will just fail (Mike will not exit a restaurant)
- Sadly - you can't replace an existing Idaho with another one, that is identical to orginal but with bomb already mouted ;/
- No need for waiting all 6 minutes to finish this mission - if you do it faster then Mike will show up just after activating the bomb with the car at right place and getting away from the restaurant.
- You can go by underground tunnel but be careful - it is easy to damage a car here.

For ALL of the Missions where you need to return to Saint Marks after the Leone's hate Claude, you can simply drive behind Saint Marks by using the Beach area, where you do "Patriot Playground" and start the Mission off.  Just travel behind the apartments and into Sal's driveway.  You can also go up another way where the Banshee in the glass is.  You can travel up the grassy hill and into Sal's driveway, as well.

For Rumble, Idk if anyone else does it, but there is a simple way.  Run away and let all the Nines come at you.  They should be all in a line.  As they come in a line, all you do is spam the button to use a Weapon (depending on what Platform you are playing) and each one will fall to the ground, one by one.  They won't even swing at you.  When one falls, hit the next in line.  When he falls, again, hit another one, etc, etc.  They all will be laying there in a pile and if some are not dead, again, just keep swinging the bat and they won't even get up and Claude will kill them all.

As for The Exchange...All you gotta do is have the 100 Hidden Packages done already.  When you leave the Colombian House, don't follow the "Escape" Helicopter.  Go to the SSV Safehouse and pick up all the Weapons.  Having Weapons, like the Sniper Rifle, RPG, etc, will make it a lot easier...

As for A Drop in the Ocean, when you come on land from being on the Boat in the water, simply grab a Vehicle and head to the near-by Pay and Spray.  This will lose the wanted level, thus no kamikaze FBI guys will drive into you sending you spinning and possibly blowing up.  The Pay and Spray is literally right next to the Docks...

In Evidence Dash (learned from obtaining the BP/EP/FP Bobcat in the Mission with passing), when you ram the Bobcat, simply go to a Pay and Spray.  Each time you ram it after losing the 2 star wanted level, it won't accumulate anymore and you won't get a wanted level, period.

I am sure there is others, but I am pressed for time.  I will return later, perhaps.

For A Drop in the Ocean, you can also go to hideout (if you have completed vigilante in first 2 islands), clear 4 stars with the bribes and last star will just disappear on its own. The same applies to Evidence Dash and Plaster Blaster, when you get wanted level for ramming the vehicles, go to hideout, collect bribes, then come back to do mission.

For Rumble, you can just hold the attack button and when Nines will come at you, they will not even have a chance to attack you, though sometimes you can get hit by one of them which causes 14 damage. I finished mission with 100 health and 86 armor.

For The Exchange, you can also shoot the helicopter before you rescue Maria but you need to get a Rocket Launcher (from 100 packages) before you get to dam. But yeah getting all weapons from hideout is easiest way to do this mission. I did this on previous playthroughs, now on latest I just did with pistol and the weapons dropped by Colombians. Finished with 100 health and 92 armor (just one hit from a Colombian with AK-47 and 1 damage from falling from stairs at dam), not counting the damage I took at beginning of mission before grabbing the armor pickup.

BTW funny thing is that for Cutting the Grass, I wanted to post this one but seems it was discovered already by other people too. I mean I remember first time I played that mission in my first playthrough, I ACTUALLY used a taxi as that was the current vehicle I was driving but I didn't know it was a trick to make mission easier, so I just parked behind the other taxi and Curly got into my car. So I just did the mission easily. Then on second playthrough I remember I had a normal vehicle and I waited for Curly to come but he got in the taxi in front of me, then Spook-O-Meter appeared and I thought for a second that I was playing a different mission. I was so confused but then realized when I looked online for help that I could use taxi (as I did on first playthrough) to complete mission much easier. I had no idea that first time I played that mission I did the easier trick without even knowing about it.

In Evidence Dash I do this, but for ADitO, the Pay and Spray is closer, thus "easier."  You wouldn't even run into any FBI Cars whatsoever once you get inside the Yakuza Stinger or whatever close by Vehicle is parked at the Docks.  I'd only suggest going to the Safehouse to pick up the Bribes if you want the "Vehicle Resprays" Stat to be at a minimum, but personally, this is not a Stat I care about and even if you drive back to Donald Love's place with 5 stars it's still not that bad...

The reason I do this in Evidence Dash is so I can get my BP/DP Barracks OL out of the SI Garage and use that to flip the Bobcat over and push it back to a Garage to restore it.  Then just finish the Mission and confirm it in the Garage afterwards.

In Arms Shortage since the Barracks OL is BP once the Mission is activated before the Colombians show up, you can simply get inside of it and do a "drive-by" on the Colombians as they come into the area, thus not taking any Health/Armor Damage.  I never actually tried this, but it seems easier than standing out in the open when they come with M-16's and Shotguns, but still, it's not a hard Mission regardless...

In Grand Theft Aero, you can use a Flamethrower to flame through the walls and it'll hit and kill the Colombians.  You don't even have to run in there guns ablaze.  You can just walk around the complex with the Flamethrower.  You can also throw Molotovs and/or Grenades over the blue colored walls, too, if you rather do that.

In Gone Fishing (I think), you can just use an RPG.  Don't get too close to the guy to trigger the cutscene and him drive away in the Boat.  Instead, stay back a bit and fire an RPG at him and it'll instantly pass the Mission.  No chase required.  I never tried it, but it seems plausible...

In Kingdom Come, you can just run out of the area to the street, climb the set of stairs near-by and stand on top of a ledge.  Then just use RPG to destroy the Vans.  Mission Passed.  Simple stuff...

In Espresso-2-Go, you can find the Espresso Stands before you destroy any, however, I only recommend doing it like this if you're a noob to GTA III and don't know the map very well or never did any other playthroughs in the past.  Also during this same Mission, as stated in my previous post, you can just drive up the area by the Beach behind the Apartments to Sal's Driveway, then use an RPG to take down the Stand, and then go back the same way you came.

I think that's all I got, really....

Yes I like to keep the vehicle resprays stat at minimum as well. Though I don't think it appears on GTA 3 stats menu, I looked on it and couldn't find it.

In Arms Shortage, there are Colombians who also throw cocktails at you.

Yeah I forgot that flamethrower can go through walls but I also used grenades during this mission. Much easier and more effective way to kill them.

Neither have I but I don't think I had access to RPG at that time in game since I haven't unlocked Shoreside Vale yet.

Same tip I used to pass the mission last time. I remember in previous playthroughs, I would always die at this mission even at full health and armor and had to check a video online to see how to do, climb on stairs and throw some grenades. Again, RPG isn't available at that time unless you do that mission later in game.

About Espresso-2-Go, good tip! I want to add the fact that you can use the BP Patriot from Ray and make this mission easier, no longer annoying Mafia destroying your vehicle in 2 shots!

Yeah, III has few Stats.  Even Total Playing Time wasn't a Stat in the Pause Menu until VC and onwards...However, you can find the Stat in the Game Files or something.  OrionSR, for instance was able to find my Mobile Save's Total Playing Time

Really?  Lol...I can't recall.  All I remember is M-16's and Shotguns.  But still, if you do a drive by on the Colombians the moment they get out of their Cartel Cruiser's, you can blow them all away before they even get to throw or shoot anything...

I try not to use any Special Vehicles on Missions.  I only use them after 100%, so I personally wouldn't use anything during Espresso-2-Go.  I just use a fast car like a Banshee, Stinger, Cheetah, etc, etc and drive to each stand and ram the stand and drive away, except the one in Saint Marks and just use an RPG on it...

About the RPG, yeah, you would only have it if you can get 100/100 Hidden Packages early.  I personally only get 99/100 early, but the thing is, I believe there is an RPG pickup somewhere in the game, so you wouldn't even need one from the 100 Hidden Packages.

For 'Cutting the Grass', the Borgnine cab also works, but whatever you use has to be in perfect condition

Also, for 'Sayonara Salvatore', you can wait at the stairs behind Luigi's club and throw a rocket at all the Leones that come out and at Salvatore

Yes they have cocktails too. I never got to kill them that fast because I didn't have RPG but I did have M-16 from the mission and from picking up around map (in the area where Kingdom Come takes place), so I can still kill them relatively fast before they start to shoot at me. First time I played this mission on first playthrough, I got wasted but I don't remember how I died so fast, maybe I got surrounded, I don't remember. On my successful attempt on previous playthrough and on last playthrough, I did without taking damage at all, thus keeping health and armor at 100. Exception is the 5 damage from falling because I wanted to climb on boxes to get the RPG and cocktails. Armor lost doesn't matter since there was an armor pickup nearby.

Yeah and that's because I usually collect stuff only from available islands and then I go to collect stuff from Staunton and Shoreside, when they become available. And yes there is a RPG located in Cedar Grove, on top of a house, I think it's close to the location where you start The Exchange. I don't remember exact details but I remember seeing a video that showed location of the RPG.

For 'Cutting the Grass', the Borgnine cab also works, but whatever you use has to be in perfect condition

Also, for 'Sayonara Salvatore', you can wait at the stairs behind Luigi's club and throw a rocket at all the Leones that come out and at Salvatore

You are right, I remember sometimes I had a taxi and Curly didn't want to get in my taxi in my previous playthroughs. Then I realized the car has to be in perfect condition.

I just used the AK-47 when standing out in the open during Arms Shortage.  M-16 uses Free Aim and it sucks ass on Console and is way too sensitive.  Way easier using Free Aim on Mobile and PC...

You can also buy the RPG from the "Army Base" after Arms Shortage is passed.  I am pretty sure an RPG is FREE during the Mission, too, sitting on top of one of the Crates, so you can use it during the Mission, even if you didn't have one...The thing is, you need to arrive in a Truck or something similar where you can jump onto the Truck and then onto the Crate as it's high up and with Claude alone, he won't be able to get onto it and get it.

About Cutting the Grass, I never knew that, lol...I always just followed him not too close, of course, etc.  I didn't know you could use your own Taxi/Cabbie.  Pretty interesting...

Yeah I know you can buy RPG immediately after finishing mission but I don't buy anything at all, I already have weapons at my hideout from packages.

As I said, I got the free weapons when I started mission, as well as the free RPG and cocktails on top of crates. I jumped on the car I used to arrive in this mission, then on truck, then on crates.

What's more interesting is that I found this myself the very first time I played the game, plus it was unintended, by that I mean I had no idea about the trick.

Take dodo during "The Exchange" and go to the chopper through backway...the chopper has no collision only texture ... the cartel gangs only spawn at the front gate not here ...after countdown timer stop the chopper auto vanish and mission failed.

In 'Waka-Gashira Wipeout!' you can kill Kenji with a rocket launcher once you are 1 level below him. If it's done correctly, the message "Kenji is fender meat!" will appear when you re-enter the Cartel Cruiser- after that you can just leave the car there and escape.

In 'Silence the Sneak' it is convenient to use a rocket launcher to quickly fire a rocket to the window and then blow up the car with the second rocket. For me personally, this combo is a lot better than grenade and switching to other weapon.

In 'Van Heist' it is convenient to park a car in front of the Securicar and blow the car with a shotgun or any other weapon you find useful (except rocket launchers, grenades, of course...). You need to maintain a certain distance to get this to work but if it's done correctly, the guy leaves the securicar and you can take it.

I'd like to add another way in Silence the Sneak.  There is a near-by Blista as well as the Vehicle you drove to his Apartment.  You can just block the Garage with this Blista as well as the Vehicle you came with.  So when the Garage opens and he drives away, you can just throw a Grenade around the area and everything will explode, including his Sentinel (Is that what he drives?  Can't remember).  I pass it like this every playthrough.

In Van Heist, I'd say use a Fire Truck since it will damage the Securicar within 1 or 2 hard hits.  If you use just a normal Vehicle like a Banshee, Taxi, Police Car, etc, etc, it will take a bit of time to actually damage the Securicar too much.  This Securicar is also a good prize to keep since it's BP/FP, but requires a Mission Failure of course.

Take dodo during "The Exchange" and go to the chopper through backway...the chopper has no collision only texture ... the cartel gangs only spawn at the front gate not here ...after countdown timer stop the chopper auto vanish and mission failed.

Spoiler

When you land on the roof, go down using the downstairs and then cutscene with helicopter bombing should be triggered. After that you are able to finish this mission.

I will update first post soon.

I noticed something on first post on Don't Spank Ma Bitch Up, you don't actually fail the mission if you kill those girls. I killed the drug dealer and the girls by running them over but the mission still continued. Maybe you fail if you kill the girls before the drug dealer?

You are right girls can be killed. No matter if it gonna happen before or after killing drug dealer.  Fixed :)

Er, in Farewell Chunky Lee Chong, you can simply steal both of his vehicles and drive them far away and dump them. (like in the sea lol) After that, return to Chinatown and enter the fish market and gun down the Triads protecting him. From here on Chunky will attempt to flee on foot, and you will get to hear some of his unique dialogue as you chase him. He will run everywhere, as the furthest I went was from the fishmarket to Callahan Point, and finally the harbour before he got squashed by an Idaho

For all the early Missions, like Chunky Lee Chong, you can just blow them away with RPG if you did 100 Hidden Packages.  Or a powerful weapon like an AK-47 or M-16, etc.  That is pretty cool how you can do that, but it takes time.  I just run in there and blow him away with a good weapon and Mission Passed in moments.  If you didn't have any good Weapons it might be good to do this, but if you have something other than a Pistol, it's easy either way. :p

Or try with grenades since that should be available on finding the first 31 packages. I think it spawns on hideouts after collecting 30 packages.

A very nice idea but you should reference also that you can break "Give me Liberty" mission, this way you can actually complete most side missions (except the import-export in SSV, the emergency vehicle crane, the securicar delivery and the phone missions) although truth being said it's not a way to pass the mission just delay it and break from it.

Huh?  If you don't do Give Me Liberty, you can't do those things in a Starter Save you mentioned?  Or am I reading this wrong or not understanding?  Personally, I do a Starter Save with Give Me Liberty and Luigi's Girls complete and the DP/EC Kuruma inside the SSV Garage and then complete all possible Side Missions that can be done which gives 53%.  But I personally only reach 52% cuz I can't get the 1 Hidden Package on the SSV Lift Bridge.  I also can't seem to get the Barracks OL on PS2 for the EV Crane, but on Mobile I can, cuz it's similar to how PC Version is, which can get the Barracks OL for the EV Crane.  If you try it on PS2, the Barracks OL is teleported into the hospital parking lot and WILL NOT fall through the ground and land on the underground tunnel.  On Mobile it works flawlessly like on PC, but on PS2, I can't get that one for the EV Crane.  But not to worry, since the EV Crane only adds the 4-5% game completion with ALL the Vehicles are delivered and since you can't get the FBI Car and Tank, I don't mind...

All things are possible to do except those I mentioned above, you can't finish the I/E list in SSV because you can only get the BF injection after Salvatore Called a meeting  I meant Sayonara Salvatore, the emergency vehicle crane because you can't get neither a FBI car or the Tank at that point(to my knowledge  there's no mission exploit to get those earlier like in LCS), curiously the securicar delivery is only available after the "Van Heist" mission at least on PC never tried it in PS or mobile one thing to try though LOL, the phone missions are not available either so also no good, the real only thing it will unlock is R3 missions (vehicles missions), Rampages and RC missions, all other stuff is possible to do or get while the mission is active, hell I almost did it once the only thing I missed was the damn Barracks OL earlier that I didn't know it was possible to get back then. If only I had the time I would redo that again, but no I have to keep my head straight I already lost to much time and have to really finish the videos LOL.

Oh, I already knew this, but even if you complete Luigi's Girls you still can't do what you mentioned cuz no BF-Injection and no FBI Car/Tank.

You can also pass 'Farewell 'Chunky' Lee Chong' by rigging his car with a bomb. That's how I do it all the time, just for amusement's sake

Nope, you can get up on the shipping containers on foot; just follow the west wall as it decreases in height and jump up on it using the nearby crates. Turn around and (carefully) make your way back to the shipping containers.

Ah, I never did that before.  Cool!  The Colombians are quite quick to arrive, so I never tried looking around for a way to get it, other than using the same Vehicle I drove to the Mission with.  However, I just use an AK-47 and don't really care to pick that RPG up.
