I'm considering starting a petition to get R* to add some of the new Online vehicles to Single Player.

I've bought and modded every car in single player, and I want new cars.

I know mods on the PC exist, but I'm cash strapped as hell. I know others will be in the same predicament.

Never going to happen. 3 years ago a petition on rockstar support got tens of thousands of votes to bring Heist vehicles and flare gun to single player and they deleted it. The same people made the petition again and once again received tens of thousands of votes only for Rockstar to take it down once again. If you ain't online and or spending money on a shark card your just a filthy freeloader in their eyes.

Then Rockstar can go f*ck themselves. I'm refusing to buy any of their future games, and I'm done with GTA Online.

If Rockstar had made a DLC for GTA V they may have made just as much money as they have with Online. Sad.

They actually wouldn't have. A story dlc is a one time purchase whearas you can buy as many shark cards as you like.

Exactly. Profit earned via Online would dwarve any earnings made by DLC.

Somehow in the years I've debated on the existence of the GTA V Story DLC, I missed the hints of the zombie DLC. That would have been fun. Red Dead Redemption has a fantastic story DLC with zombies, and the mechanics are unlike a lot of games I've played. It truly felt like another game at points and GTA V would have been interesting. Imagine if your best chances of survival were just to keep moving around the map, even if you think the countryside might be your best bet.

With places like Sandy Shores being filled with undead and Army camps in certain areas either operational or otherwise meanwhile Trevor either is enjoying slaughtering with no consequence whatsoever or is spooked that he is seeing people he has killed coming back to life thinking it's a bad meth trip. Damn now I feel depressed typing this out. Gee thanks GTA Online, they could have at least given us the frickin vehicles from these dlcs but NOPE gotta make them online exclusive. If only someone could at LEAST show us SOMETHING, ANYTHING of gameplay from these dlc's it would give some of us closure. Im just wishing and hoping for a miracle of Yan or Fun or Ash to come here and say that R* are releasing it in the summer before RDR2. If that happened I think I would faint from joy. Even if all 3 cost $60 I would gladly pay that.

This is probably a long shot, but I'll say it anyway and hopefully enough people repeat this: Now is the time to seize on the urban open world crime genre, If there are any developers out there that think they could match what GTA use to be and even add the depth and qualities of other open world games, I'll support you 100%

GTA is dead. It's time for another to take it's place.

I said this five months ago and I feel it's more relevant now than it was then...
UFG is dead, Boobiesoft is a worse replacement, 2K has the same parent company (and notMafia III sucks big time)... any other option?

 (...) Number don't lie. '(...)

But can BE lies (or lied about).
(I'm referring to the numbers, not you quoting them)

I think Ubisoft has the ability to make Watch Dogs a replacement for GTA if they make it more about crime and fix the driving mechanics. Make the story about a criminal organisation that use hacks to pull off crime (Bankjobs/Heists and the likes). I think it could work as Ubisoft has the budget and knows how to pull off the detailed open world. Like they are doing with FC5 and AC Origins, those look very promising and if Ubisoft can do the same with Watch Dogs then we have a winner on our hands.

No doubt about that, but I believe ubi's business practices are even sh*tt*er.

I wonder what the story of the Zombie dlc would have been? What caused the outbreak etc.

I think they wanted it to be like the Walking Dead.

I was surprised when I found out the codename for the Zombie one is "Norman", I was too stupid to find other meanings of "Norman" other than Norman Reedus aka one of the Walking Dead actors.

It was centered around Michael so I was like there's no way Michael would fit the personality of Norman Reedus.

The mission triggers are located in the city around phone booths, maybe he's trying to check if his family is safe.

You would find survivors and form a small group and find other groups as you progress, that's just my speculation.

Wow so the Alien DLC is centered around Franklin then? Interesting as Michael is the one who hallucinates about aliens.

I hear this allot but how exactly?

Yes its true they used to downgrade, make the same game structure, and have games like Ghost Recon or The Division that have micro transactions. But they stopped doing that and when they do create a single player focused game like AC Origins or Watch Dogs 2, they nail it. Can't say the same for WB or EA who insert micro transactions into everything and have so many preorder dlc that are exclusive to certain retailers (WB) or makes everything MP focused (EA). Same goes to Activision who have no shame in adding lootboxes then charging for map packs.

Ubisoft is the best one out of the AAA publishers, atleast they care about the games instead of designing them for maximium profit unlike the others I mentioned.

I agree that GTA is dead. Ubisoft could pull off a GTA like game, and if they did I think they could actually champion the stale offerings of Rockstar and the cash cows from EA, a company on life support. Come on Ubi, we saw what you could do with WD2, you can do it again.

R* have the habit of mixing many movies / tv references together. It reminded me of a popular 2013 movie.

FarCry 5 is going to have a zombie DLC. Hopefully for singleplayer story dlc. Going to have to jump on that.

Watch dogs needs a malicious hacker protagonist someone who's in to hacking for the money and personal gain and isn't trying to save the world.

I know its off topic, but Im still mad at Ubisoft for not following through on the Watch Dogs movie, and I have a feeling The Division movie that is suppose to star Jake Gyllenhaal is going to meet a similar fate.

But Watch Dogs and Watch Dogs 2 are good games. I imagine well hear something about Watch Dogs 3 in the coming months maybe at E3.
