In the name of Allah (God, same as God of the christians and judaisms)

Hello guys. Although a weapon guide was included in one of the topics, I decided to create my own weapons guide as the one I saw needed some fixes, included less weapon pickups guide etc.

My idea was actually to create topic like this, for Vice City this time, to guide users complete the storyline without the use of cheats to give weapons and wasting money to buy weapons.

Note: this topic will be updated as long as I can, maybe someday I wasn't alive, or my network connection wasn't good so please forgive me.

Note: I'm not good at creating topics so please forgive me a second time if it's not well written.

Special thanks to GTA Wikia for some information.

These are great choices in close combat. Only one hit while near someone make them go to hell!

Pump-Action Shotgun

Description: Also known as Chrome Shotgun, this shotgun is based on real-life Itacha 37. it deals good damage although not as good as other shotguns in the game (other shotguns are one-hit kill, while this is two-hit kill), and also can be found in Vercetti Estate that makes it a very good weapon of choice as a shotgun, also my weapon of choice in close ranges. It's also the cheapest shotgun in the game.

Pickups/Locations/How to find: Washington Beach - Behind one of the benches on the sidewalk by the beach south of Standing Vice Point hotel,  Ocean Beach - On the top parking level (southeast side) of the Washington Mall, Ocean Beach - Ammu-Nation shop for 500$, Starfish Island - In the small room at the bottom of the Mansion's stairwell, east of the main entrance after completion of Rub Out, Automatically given to the player by entering a 4-door Police vehicle.

Third Topic: Submachine Guns

Submachine guns

Submachine Guns are cool guns; Fully-auto, light weight, and less or more, powerful.

TEC-9

Description: Based on real-life Interact TEC 9, it's the second common submachine gun in the missions, but it's not powerful very much. Instant, it has a large magazine, with a capacity of 50 bullets. It's also one of the few guns in the game that you can still run while firing it. I personally don't recommend you to have this creepy gun.

Sprint: Yes

Price: N/A, not available at any of the shops.

Pickups/Locations/How to find: Vice Point - Behind a house near the end of the cul-de-sac across the bridge west of the Well Stacked Pizza Co. Found in numerous missions, often used by Sharks (or Street Wannabes).

MAC-10/Mac

Description: It's based on real-life Ingram MAC-10, it's a very good weapon, but is not common and is only used in one mission where you must pick it up, the mission Gun Runner. Its the cheapest submachine gun in the game, and is very good and useful in the mission Death Row when you need a light weapon and it's also one of the few guns in the game that you can still run while firing it, make it useful in this mission. It's not as powerful as Uz-I and MP but still is powerful.

Sprint: Yes

Price: 300$

Pickups/Locations/How to find:Ocean Beach - Can be bought from the Ammu-Nation for $300, Viceport - Spawns across Chartered Libertine Lines and the Boatyard next to a Rumpo parked there.

UZI/Uz-I

Description: Based on the real-life IMI UZI, it's a very good weapon, powerful, light and the most common weapon in the game where you can find it a lot. Everyone's trusted weapon and also a cheap one. My weapon of choice, good in every mission and every place.

Sprint: Yes

Price: 400$

Pickups/Locations/How to find: Ocean Beach - Behind the Ocean Beach Pay 'n' Spray in a fenced area, reachable on foot, Washington Beach - Near the front end of the tall apartment building with a swimming pool out back, North Point Mall - Available to buy from Ammu-Nation from the start of the game ($400), Prawn Island - On the front porch of the Mendez Mansion (the green, in the middle), Downtown - Under the stairs that lead to the rooftop with the Skumole Shack, just northeast of The Greasy Chopper, SWAT Team Officers - Killing one will cause them to drop the weapon, Vercetti Gang Members - Wasting a group of them will give a decent amount of ammo only if the storyline missions are completed, Vice Squad (the police in Cheetahs) - Killing the Vice Squad will make them drop their weapon.

MP5/MP

Description: Based on Keckler and Koch MP5, it's a compact, powerful, and good gun, almost the same as Uz-I. Being even more powerful than UZI/Uz-I, it's very expensive, and rare throughout the entire storyline and non-storyline missions. It's mainly used by the enemy NPC's in the Pay Phone (Mr. Black's assassination missions) mission Loose Ends and is good for the players who use this gun because in this missions, a lot of enemies drop it after they prepare to travel to hell, thus give you a chance to get a lot of ammo.

Sprint: Yes

Price: 3000$

Pickups/Locations/How to find: Used by Ricardo Diaz in the mission Rub Out, Used by the FBI, Used by the Military forces.
Used by enemies in the mission; Loose Ends for Mr. Black, Used by the SWAT team and secutity guards in the mission; The Job, Used by the enemies in the mission; Spilling The Beans.

Fourth Topic: Assault Rifles

Assault Rifles are very, very powerful weapons that set a car to fire within a few shots, kill the target easily with one, two or three shots. They are heavy though.

Ruger/Kruger

Description: Based on a real-life variant of M14 rifle, this honey is very much powerful. It has a slower rate of fire than M4 with 400 RPM. Useful until the mission "Rub Out"

Sprint: No

Price: 1000$

Pickups/Locations/How to find: Vice Point - On top of the roof behind El Swanko Casa and can be bought for $1000 at Ammu-Nation shop in Ocean Beach after the completion of "Guardian Angels"

M4

Description: Although named "M4", it is actually a Colt Model 733 (funny fact that M4 was not introduced until 1994, 8 years after the game storyline). It's an almost-all-times-one-shot-one-kill, with a fast fire rate of 600 RPM, and good choice for an Assault Rifle as it's unlocked right after Rub Out, and spawn at Vercetti Estate. It's so expensive but they are a lot of pickups across the map. One of my most favorite weapons. Sadly it's too heavy to sprint with.

Sprint: No

Price:  5000$

Pickups/Locations/How to find: Prawn Island - In Studio B (behind the moon lander) at the InterGlobal Films complex, Starfish Island - In the small room at the bottom of the Vercetti Estate's stairwell east of the main entrance after the completion of Rub Out, Downtown - Available to buy from Ammu-Nation after completion of Rub Out ($5,000), Little Haiti - In the middle of a cluster of shacks in the center of the North Haitian Neighborhood (just south of Auntie Poulet's house behind the house with the Voodoo in front), Little Havana - At the west side of the red and white building directly across the street west of Cafe Robina (where Tommy took Phil to during Boomshine Saigon), Fort Baxter - Wasting some of the Soldiers will give a decent amount of M4 ammo.

Heavy Weapons

Well, these sh*ts are VERY powerful, with large magazine sizes with too much weight.

M-60

Description: Based on real life old light machine gun, M60E1, it's a powerful weapon (not as others but at least more powerful than M4), with an unrealistic, fast reload. Its magazine size is 100.

Sprint: No

Price: 8000$

Pick-ups/Locations/How to find: Received at the mission Phnom Penh '86, when you are about to kill the remaining gang members inside the house, Little Haiti - Available to buy from Phil's Place after completion of Boomshine Saigon ($8,000), Fort Baxter Air Base - In the west guard tower (Use the Cop Outfit to get in and out unharmed).

Flamethrower

Description: It's not based on a real-life weapon. It's functional when you are near your targets and will burn 'em out. Despite this, it's not a very useful weapon and is too heavy.

Sprint: No

Price: N/A, not available at any of the shops.

Pick-ups/Locations/How to find: Ocean View Hotel, Ocean Beach, Vice Beach - 40 Hidden Packages award, Starfish Island - In the swimming pool of the Rockstar House northwest of the Mansion, Vercetti Estate, Starfish Island - 40 Hidden Packages award and available after completion of Rub Out, Hyman Condo, Downtown, Vice City Mainland - 40 Hidden Packages award, Viceport, Vice City Mainland - By the building near the road in the southwest part of Viceport, south of the Viceport Pay 'n' Spray, from the Viceport Pay 'n' Spray, head south along the road, as you near the road curve going east, you should see the weapon icon to your right.

Rocket Launcher

Description: This sh*t is based on old, Soviet RPG-7, and is a good weapon for destroying vehicles. Nothing special.

Sprint: No

Price: 8000$

Pick-ups/Locations/How to find: Phil's Place, Little Haiti - The weapon is available for purchase here after completion of Boomshine Saigon. ($8,000), Hooker Inn, Viceport - Located in the swimming pool, directly after the entrance arch, Spawns at the Ocean View Hotel, the Hyman Condo, and the Vercetti Estate after collecting 70 hidden packages.

Minigun

Description: I just sh*tted my pants when I first used this. It's the most powerful weapon in the game, although not as much as a Rocket Launcher. It's a 500 rounded "magazine" and doesn't need reload for each "magazine".
