@TWIST_OF_HATE

It is best to modify the physics and deformation of the vehicle around the Internet. It is not worth looking for another :) There is no competition. Realistic Driving V always wins :)

I totally enjoyed your handling mod with GTAV, it adds replay value and cruising around the map while listening to favorite radiostations... Awesome!

The update broke all of my tools, really painful to be left with Notepad only. It was a lot of work to add three new DLC cars, almost finished though.

i expected the GP1 to be 2 seconds faster, the Turismo2 to be 3 seconds slower. i think Turismo2 got some help from curb boosting bug. oh well...

GP1 (McLaren F1 1996)
RWD, 1150 kg, 627 HP, 6-speed manual, low drag, low base grip, weak brakes, low stability
0-100kmh: 3.4s
0-160kmh: 6.2s
0-200kmh: 9.4s
0-300kmh: 22.0s
top speed: 370 kmh
Lat Accel 200ft: 0.86g
Lat Accel max: 1.2g
wgt-distr: 42/58

Turismo2 (Ferrari F40 1988)
RWD, 1350 kg, 478 HP, 5-speed manual, oversteer, low stability, no ABS
0-100kmh: 4.5s
0-160kmh: 8.2s
0-200kmh: 12.0s
0-250kmh: 22.0s
top speed: 317 kmh
Lat Accel 200ft: 1.01g
wgt-distr: 41/59 ?

Infernus2 (Lamborghini Diablo SV 1996)
RWD, 1600 kg, 510 HP, 5-speed manual, oversteer
0-100kmh: 4.2s
0-160kmh: 9.4s
0-200kmh: 14.8s
top speed: 333 kmh
Lat Accel 200ft: 0.95g
wgt-distr: 41/59

Still working on this mod. dont know why though.

You sound negative, mate. What happened?

He finally got his handling mod to feel great and Rockstar comes with an update tampering with crap again!

It's frustrating.....you find that sweetspot and BOOM an update comes and changes things around because Rockstar's physics/handling techs have a different

less immersive vision than you...the feature they think is better and actually cool for GTAV feel stupid and even more arcadish for us.

True

@Killatomate: So many people love you for this. Never forget that. :)

What do you mean by "broken tools". Memory offsets of your ASI hooks are different?

@Killatomate

The Turismo2(F40) should have a similar power band/curve as the Monroe's inertia/drive force ratio....all power is in the upper RPMs.

I love the way you set up the Monroe's(Lamborghini Miura) acceleration!

They say the small turbo v8 F40 takes some throttle to get into that monster power band and the turbos come alive and all hell breaks loose!!!!

These guys goe into detail about the acceleration experience.

This guy says the same also

After giving cars accurate performance specs i am still able to adjust lap times by tweaking suspension settings, brake behavior and weight transfer. After some adjustments laptimes lokk a little more realistic

GP1: 1:51 -> 1:50

Turismo2: 1:54 -> 1:55

Infernus2: 1:58 -> 1:57

Also finished Ruston handling.

Ruston (VUHL 05 2014)
RWD, 750kg, 285 HP, 6-speed manual, oversteer, effective brakes, no ABS
0-100kmh: 3.7s
0-160kmh: 9.6s ?
top speed: 245 kmh
Braking: 13.5 m/s2
wgt-distr: 38/62

Seems to be working still.

must have been a problem on my end.

I have a question for you by the way. Shouldn't the Buffalo Sport (Franklin's Buffalo) have an 8 speed transmission? Or did the Dodge Charger SRT's not have 8 speed for the 2013 model year?

GTA V does not suppport > 7 gears.

The 7th gear is some semi-glitchy overdrive anyway that doesn't really match up with the rest of the revs. Feels more like a 6th gear, unlocked.

Once you have tried this mod, you'll never wanna play the game with its stock handlings anymore.

Suspension is now much better and muscle/sports classics finally got their better speeds and accelerations. It's too much to tell, just try it lol

Man, that is disappointing. :(

The only glitch I noticed with high speeds (higher than you normally can go with default driving) is that when you sideswipe a guard rail or bottom out your car, it brings your car to a halt. Not sure if having damage enabled changes anything since I play with vehicle invincibility as I like to keep my cars looking nice.

Hahaha, the ones who appreciated GTA IV handling will happily use this mod. I truely appreciate killatomate has made one for GTAV, I didn't expect that tbh.

If you are in for a challenge, try RealisticDrivingV_2.1_Scaled_Topspeed_incr_deformation when you wanna install it.

Just one small tiny crash with the car and your wheel gets blocked already so you gotta steal another car haha.

Alexander Blade also made a handling mod for GTAV in case you didn't know, although not for the new dlc cars after a certain time but good too.

i finished skid pad testing. results look perfect.

GP1: 101 kmh (0.87g)

Infernus2: 104 kmh (0.95g)

Turismo2: 106 kmh (1.01g)

T20: 110 kmh (1.10g) REFERENCE

Ruston: 111 kmh (1.12g)

all 4 DLC car handlings are finished. now i need to complie all fixes and changes into a working release candidate and then create Scaled Speed and Deformation version from that.

seriously. i am minutes away from finishing work on this update. i created both "scaled speed" and "increased deformation" versions of the handling file, added all fixes and changes to each respective version. All i need to do is one final test run before packaging the files into an installer.

Lol'ed at todo list screen about driving in a Smart for 10 minutes without being crushed by a soccermom.

Leave it that way and don't change/fix Smart :p GTA is all about craziness. And the scaled topspeed&incr def is lovely.

you might be able to make it work by raising the vehicle cap in gameconfig.xml. search for one that "unlocks add-on cars".
