Karl Lagerfeld is a fashion designer(Chanel, Fendi, anyone?), not a DJ...Also, note the K in Karl...

Anyway, I'd like Chris Barnes(Cannibal Corpse) to host a death and thrash metal station...And, Jello Biafra as the host of a hardcore punk station...

like how Iggy Pop and Kenny Loggins got roles in the rock stations.

i want either Tom Petty or Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top should host the Rock station and the lead singer of either Metallica, Disturbed, Godsmack or Avenged Sevenfold for the metal station

If they could get anyone, I'd like to hear Bruce Dickinson or Ozzy Osbourne, that would be pretty amazing to hear them host a GTA station.

Or maybe Phil Anselmo for a Metal station so we can hear him talk about how much better white (wine) is than black (wine). That'll get people talking :p

I would rather Rockstar revert back to creating their own DJs such as Tommy "Nightmare" Smith and the Funktipus, getting the appropriate people (like Axl Rose and George Clinton) to play the roles and host the station. Nothing against Iggy Pop but it got confusing when you know he's talking about NYC and not Liberty City.

^ This.

Plus, it's f*cking weird. Why would Ruslana, a big pop star in Ukraine, host a Russian radio station in America?

I'd love for Karl Lagerfeld to return as the DJ of K109 The Studio, and Chris Barnes as the DJ of a extreme metal station...

Yeah I liked the days of making a DJ character and then having a celebrity do the voice. Not only did it expand the idea of the GTA World being separate from ours, but it also allowed them to write some sort of backstory and character personality for the DJs, as was the case with the San Andreas and Vice City radio hosts.

I don't mind real-life celebrities hosting radio stations, but now, I would prefer fictional characters as the DJs, especially if the next GTA will be set in the past.

Whenever someone says something like that, it makes me want to ram their skull into a brick wall. Repeatedly. Just because they don't play death metal or black metal or sh*t like that doesn't make them not metal. You don't see hip-hop fans saying a rapper they don't like is "not hip-hop". It seems only metalturds act like this.

Let's just label that stuff as Pop Metal or something :p

I only don't like it when bands like that get called Heavy/Hardcore

The only pop metal is '80s glam. I bet you like bands such as Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, even though they are 'light' and use clean vocals.

But forget this, I'm not going to argue with a bunch of elitists over music (more than I already have). Don't want to the mods to be further involved.

This. I really miss the days of made-up DJs before they got real people hosting the stations. The next game better go back to the PS2 era roots. Here are the voice actors for DJs I would like to see:

Ashley Tisdale (of Phineas & Ferb fame) as the voice of a modern pop station DJ;

Dave Willis (of Aqua Teen Hunger Force fame) as the voice of a classic/psychedelic rock station DJ;

Robert Smith (of the Cure) as the voice of a gothic rock station DJ;

Alex Hirsch (of Gravity Falls fame) as the voice of an indie rock station DJ;

Tara Strong (of the Fairly OddParents and the Powerpuff Girls fame) as the voice of an 80's pop station DJ.

I'm sure I could've come up with more, but these are the people that come into my mind. I know, I could've gone with the more obscure actors.

That really depends on the setting. If we would get a game set in Detroit I'd like to have Eminem or if he wouldn't want, one of the D-12 guys to host Midwestern Rap station.
