I feel like the diesel one is touchy. What ever you save at the pump, you can end up spending on it anyways if and when it decides to break.

"Mine is 745Li, is faster than M5. 7 is 2 more than 5."

The owner of the nail salon which used to be next to my parents house, while taking me for a ride in his BMW.

He was also pointing out all the slower cars with lower numbers than 7... S55, S600, 323, 500, basically anything with numbers.

The problem with most of the diesel people is that they do less than 8000km a year.

If you argue to me that you have to constantly drive around the country then I will say you made the right choice buying a diesel. But it's not the case.

Best one I've had. My school had what was known has truck row (where all the Rednecks parked) one of the trucks was a old late 80s to early 90s Chevy Blazer (looked like an old late 80s S10) with Chevrolet on the tailgate, and some dumbass in the thickest hick accent I've ever heard in my life pipes up "HEY, IS THAT A FORD BLAZER?" Looking right at the word Chevrolet on the tailgate, Me and half a dozen other people chased this guy across the school parking lot for it, then a week later, same guy while looking at a Nissan Frontier (another truck with the brand name on the tailgate) yells while looking at the word Nissan on the tailgate "HEY, IS THAT A TOYOTA FRONTIER?".... Let's just say I never saw this dumbass anywhere near the parking lot again after that.

That the names of pick-up trucks represents their weight. So the F150 weighs 150lbs and the Ram 1500 weighs 1500lbs.

That reminds me of my friend John telling me how they couldn't put Porsche's on the rail at the car wash he worked at because of the all wheel steering.

The owner told him how all Porsche's have all wheel steering.

"The BMW 1 series is front-wheel drive"

I guess this misconception just saved BMW a lot on manufacturing costs: New 2018 BMW 1 Series to go front-wheel drive

In all fairness they falsely predicted the current generation 1 series would be FWD too.

It's funny when the "American made" car is actually made in Mexico.

I was going on a team trip with a few of my teammates and on the highway we saw a Lamborghini Gallardo (my first) and the guy driving said it was an Aventador.

It's even funnier when it's Mexico, because the people that are usually demanding their car be "American made" are usually the same people that complain about "dirty immigrants ruinin' our fine country" and garbage like that.

"Should I get a spoiler for my Golf GTI ?"

Stupidity is becoming a massive problem these days, how hard is it to realise that downforce is supposed to be applied to the wheels that are actually receiving the power and driving the car.

wings really only work if you're goin about 150 anyway and by that point, you better have a park bench.

Wings for everyday driving is extra weight

My thoughts exactly, but in my scenario I had to dumb it down a lot so they could understand what I meant.

My reply was "No get a splitter, spoilers on FWD's don't benefit the car in any way" and even then I had to go on and explain to him that he would only need one if he plans on becoming a NASCAR driver or something.

He drives a 04 Civic so he'd be branded one of the biggest ricers in the country .

Plus I'm pretty sure he wants to be able to use car washes , even though I always recommend that he cleans it himself, the way those machines work can damage the underlying paint coat.
