I'm surprised that no one caught on to how the hallway fight scene is a huge Oldboy reference, with Daredevil struggling to stay on his feet and all.

Anyway, what i found particularly memorable was the first dinner of Vanessa and Fisk. The dialogue is some of the best i've seen in years, and D'Onofrio is at the top of his game.

Best MCU installment by a long distance. If only they went that gritty route with the Avengers...

Well, hello there, Mister New Person.

I love this gritty feel, but I think the Avengers was done right.  I like the contrast, and I hope that the bring Spider-man into the Daredevil world so he'll be more of an outsider with the Avengers,  who are the big-name "Superheroes" vs the gritty Hell's Kitchen "Heroes."

Really?

I'm a fan. That hallway fight was incredible. Not the best fight of the year - that obviously goes to Banshee - but so freaking well done. I love the Jackie Chan-esque staggering, the oldboy inspired cinematography... So good.

The old boy (i havent seen the hollywood version) inspired cinematography was cool but some of the fight scenes didnt sit well with me.

Yeah, but no Stephen DeKnight?  He was a major part of the success of that show... I hope it is able to keep the spirit.

Wait, so...

2016 will be Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist AND Defenders?

I'd honestly rather have them do season 2 after the Defenders. Maybe even DeKnight will come back for it.

I hope Punisher comes in as an antagonist that turns ally.  I love the duality of a Punisher/Daredevil team up.  One of them believes in the justice system and brings criminals in to be accountable for their actions, while the other has no faith in justice, and takes punishment into his own hands.

I watched all 13 episodes: And oh my god it was amazing. Gritty, dark, realistic, and even at times gory - something we still haven't really seen in the MCU. A very dark approach and I loved it! I hope they corporate Daredevil into the movies somehow, but wow the show was amazing!

Purple Man.

And here's a clear picture of Daredevil in his red suit.

This can totally grow on me.

I can live with the body suit but something about the mask seems really off. I hope this is more of a prototype suit and he'll get a better one in season 2.

Apparently, Cox has a stipulation in his contract with marvel that he must appear in other MCU movies/projects if requested by the studio.

Spider-Man lunch boxes would be the absolute best use of Marvel's newly acquired Spider-Man license.

I'm not a huge fan of the bodysuit either - but probably moreso because the black mask was so much more badass.

Speaking of that.......

As for this show I finished it a couple days ago. The thing that sucks about Netflix series is that you can already watch the entire season. Went by so quick. Loved it and I didn't really care about this when it was announced. D'Onofrio killed it as Kingpin. Surprisingly graphic. Liked Charlie Cox on Boardwalk Empire and he kills it as Murdoc. Can't wait for the second season.

The costume is alright though I'm sure they'll probably update it for the next season.

Nice. Although, I doubt they go with my idea of having him be an antagonist to DD.

Although, it would be awesome to have both shows cross over much like how they did in the 80s a couple times. Where they're both going after the same criminal, and of course end up fighting over whether they hand him over to the police or kill him.

Now that I think about it...

Daredevil is the first and only MCU Superhero with a secret identity. This is the first time in the MCU that the protagonist had to explain bruises and cuts to people. Wow.

I just hope they aren't doing an origin setup for Spiderman again. A few mentions and a 5 minute flashback are all we need.

We don't need 30-45 minutes dedicated to how it happens. Not again.
