Yeah I'm definitely locking you up.

Resident Evil is my favorite game series of all time, and since the RE1 Remake is on Xbox One now, everyone should play it unless you're a sissy who can't handle horror games  :catloaf:

It depends on whether or not you like Japanese games and bad controls (although I assume the newer games are better) and solving puzzles. I don't really have a lot of patience for the latter these days.

I've played Dead Space, Outlast and a little bit of Condemned 1 and 2, so I'm no chicken!

But like the post above says, just not interested in the series. The new one does look good but I wouldn't buy it.

In that case, I would still kinda recommend 4. Great game and not so many puzzles as the older titles.
Edit: actually, I'm not sure how many puzzles there are in the game. My memory is kinda foggy on it. Still a great game tho.

I decided to pick up the bundle myself. I was waiting for them to completely finish porting the rest of the titles but for $20 buck what you get is pretty good I suppose.

I was the same. Never played an RE game...never cared to. But this installment might be worth a look for you.

I'm a kid that grew up on 70's and 80's horror. Heck, I even shook the hands of Clive Barker and Wes Craven at a horror convention in the early 2000s (might have been late 90s). I'm big into horror.

RE7 might be my all time favorite horror game. Like I said I have no RE history and I'm pretty sure I've played all other horror (suspense/horror) games.

I've gone back and tried some of the previous RE games and it almost seems like this game isn't connected. Not sure how they call it a RE game.

Sign me up for "never played a RE title." I've watched someone play through RE 4, and RE 7 but never played it myself. I'm a little bitch though, so I don't know if I could've played it myself anyway.

If you like Dead Space, you'd like RE4.

Spoiler

You might like Revelations 2 as well if you liked Dead Space.  Revelations 1 is coming out this fall, and it's the most underrated title of the series. Dead Space is probably closest to it due to the Ooze enemies.

Condemned is great, good stuff.

I can safely say I'm the biggest Resident Evil fan on the forums, hence why I've wasted dropped so much money on collectibles and such, and Dead Space 1+2 are pretty damn good as well, so I'd recommend RE4 to you if anything.  You don't need to play any of the other REs too, as even though it's Resident Evil 4, the story is a side-story that honestly should not have been a mainseries game.  It's a goddamn good game though, hence why it received so much praise and got ported 20,000 goddamn times.

It splits the community in two though.

Since it's where the series started removing survival horror from its formula.  RE4-6 aren't scary in the slightest.  Maybe on the first playthrough at the very beginning of the game, but beyond that, while it may seem like it's trying to keep you scared, it's much too action-packed and easy to play.  Even on the professional difficulty.  But I'm a RE nerd, so could be different for some others.

No puzzles or strategy.  Just a lot of bullets.

Hey! I think Outlast was good as far as psychological horror games could get. The DLC included a lot of nasty sh*t and I'm certainly surprised the 'soccer moms' didn't lose their sh*t over it! The Eddie Gluskin stuff in the DLC was some real crazy sh*t!

I hear Outlast 2 includes rape and such which got it recently banned in Australia.

Condemned definitely pushed my limits as far as me screaming like a girl and throwing the controller through the TV. Great atmosphere and suspense.

I thank you all for to responses and such; once I complete the 10+ games in my backlog maybe I'll give it a shot.

MS has given out Ryse for free once although I don't remember what for. The rest of the line up I've played already. :(

I haven't played any of these (I've played Darksiders II though) so it's welcomed addition to my library.

Revelations is one of the few AC games I haven't played, I'd like this list to be real.

Ahhh cool, thanks! So that leaves AC3 as the only one not BC yet. I'd like to see that one eventually.

Sweet, Ryse should give me a rise for a bit. And I look forward to being able to play both seasons of the walking dead on xbox one now while I wait for money to buy season 3.

Yeah, I think its on sale too. Only $10.00

The only Resident Evil game i love is RE4 because its awesome and its also the reason the Devil May Cry series is a thing. I just got a new copy of RE7 for free with my new Xbox One S with a 1TB HD, and was thinking of playing it too. Its been getting great review scores and Ive watched the first hour of it and it looks badass.

Im debating geting the RE1 remake though, as ive never really grew up with those old RE games.

Hell yeah, I definitely recommend the RE1 remake. The tank controls may take some getting used to (even the modernized control scheme offered as an alternative has a bit of a learning curve - I actually prefer the original tank controls), but once you do you won't even notice them, and the game is just fun, spooky and satisfying as hell. And if you end up liking that, get Resident Evil 0 too!

And while it veers away from the survival horror feel, RE4 is one of the best and most ridiculously well planned, designed, and executed games I've ever played. The controls (which do take some getting used to by today's standards, but before long you'll be doing quick-turns and popping heads like a pro), the area design, the puzzles, the enemies, even the escort missions, everything just comes together so well. It also has a good balance of action/adventure and survival horror, yeah it's nothing compared to the earlier games, but there are some genuinely freaky enemies and scenarios here. Especially near the end, with the Regenerators and Iron Maidens. Few enemies in the series are as freaky as those f*ckers.

The story feels more like a side-story than the other games, but it's still a really fun action/adventure. Leon is a fun, likable badass and he has great chemistry with the villains, it's just so much fun seeing these guys on the "Codec" talking sh*t back and forth. "I've sent my right hand to dispose of you." "Your right hand comes off?" "Hm. Say whatever you please. DIE, YOU WORM!!!!!" Haha.

Anyway, AC Revelations has been added? Sweet. It's looking like I can hold off on getting The Ezio Collection for a while longer. But where's Brotherhood? So weird that they skipped the middle game and jumped right to the last game of the Ezio trilogy. It's kinda like just having Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises. But I digress, always happy to see another Assassin's Creed being made BC.
