You can afford an LS swapped S14 but don't own a camera or usable camera phone, your profile says you're in Australia but your IP address resolution and PSN profile you cleverly used the same name for put you in the US. And given the Instagram accounts of various people your username seems to be associated with, I'd be surprised if you were old enough to drive a car at all.

Who the f*ck puts a 220kg LSx upstairs in their attic anyway?

Woah woah, sivispacem, you are becoming a little obsessed with this guy.  So some guy on the internet exaggerated about his first 'car', who cares?  Or are you just disappointed he didn't exaggerate further?!

My first engine was a V12.

You're right, perhaps being less harsh on the kid would have been prudent. I mean, young and interested in cars, that's something to be encouraged. No reason to lie about it, merely saying "I don't have a car yet, but this is what I'm aspiring to" would be enough.

2 posts regarding the verbal garbage spewing forth from this kids mouth is hardly "becoming obsessed".

Anyway, it's 6:58 a.m. and I want to read some more made up bs.

Hopefully he'll be back, or maybe itrip will return with more stories!

It's always fun to see what crops up with a simple search of people's usernames. Especially when they're pretty distinctive. Usually the easiest way of telling conclusively whether someone is full of crap.

Either way I'm with sivispacem on that one, its fair enough doing a little googling of people that pop in vehicle chat with late night fairy stories about non-existant cars. The sooner they are exposed as being full of sh*t, the better. Its been two days and he hasn't been back with anything (ie proof). Shame really, if it had been true it would be a cool car to see around here.

Get a life dude, just because I have a car that you guys dont believe I have, you guys make such a big deal, if its fake, I wouldnt have said it.
So f*ck off.

There have been far more lies in this forum about car ownership than truths, people here have exotic muscle cars, sports cars and even Bentleys but not one person here has been taken seriously until they have posted evidence.

I would advise you to be less confrontational about not receiving special treatment.

Would love to have one of these as my first car. It will all depend on my finanical situation and if I get a good job. Obviously, I'm leaning way towards the Merc more than the golf, but I'd still be over the moon with the golf.

So, is it a first car like the thread title? And a current car. Thas cool. Shouldn' be any problem to take a picture or two, thats not a big deal right? even if they are a little blurry. We are car enthusiasts here, everyone would like to see more of this. Like epoxi says, a little bit of evidence would go a long way. I personally would love to see more of an LS V8 swapped S14. Hell even in its previous (V6 did you say?) state would freaking awesome.

My first car is the one I am currently driving since it took a while to get a vehicle on my end. I drive a red 1997 Ford Thunderbird LX:
(Not my photo, but a good image of the one I have)
5fddf4c026_640.jpg

It was a bit of a gift from my grandmother who was dead set on getting me a vehicle to drive, and she scored one for 4000 that only had 48000 miles on it. I barely got it last December so the mileage is still very low, and it runs beautifully.

Not sure why people would lie about their first cars. I mean, there are people dumb enough to buy a brand new Merc as their first car, but I'd wager that someone like that has better things to do than post on here... If you're going to lie, make it believable, something like a 2.0L straight four BMW. Sounds a bit off, but it's believable imo... Well, much more believable than some of the stuff posted in this thread.

A 1979 Chevrolet Impala I got for 50$ with a "siezed" engine. First thing I did was to try spinning the crank with a wrench, and it was free. Then I looked at the wiring, and there was a dead fusable link. Reapired the wire, and the car ran great for about 3 years until i sold it, and it got used in a derby.

I didn't drive til I was 30, however, my "first car" was my deceased mother's 1991 Dodge Shadow that I let rot in the driveway for like 5 years til I traded it for a bag of pot.

Dude came over with an air pump, a jump box, and a gallon of gas and drove it home. Ended up keeping it running for another two years with minimal work.

First car I actually drove was some sort of 199x Pontiac Grand Am that I paid a couple hundred for and may have also traded for a bag of pot when I was done, now that I think about it. Or maybe $100 I promptly spent on a bag. Either way, pretty much went the same way.

I'll try and follow the general theme of BS.

It was a Bugatti Veyron SS with classified modifications putting out close to 10,000HP...

Or I could tell the truth. I had a early 90s (J Reg I think..) Ford Fiesta LX 1.3 which used more oil than it did petrol, was brown (with a hint of maroon), had a rust hole in the floor, had to shift down a gear to get up any sort of incline and pulled to the left at random intervals. Lasted about 4 months before dying.

My first car was a 1982 VW Golf Formel E with 50 hp. It was an early eco-car with awesome-long gear-ratios and an indicator that showed the ideal time to do the gear-change.

I would have preferred a Honda CRX HF though. But it was never available here in Germany, or even Europe.

That VW was my only one and after that I have mostly owned Hondas. Amongst which I had the original Honda Insight from 2000 which was amazingly economical.

Nowadays I have a, rust-free and stock, 1990 CRX for niceweather-driving.

Got my first car this summer. It's a BMW 318i (e46) from 2001. It's a nice starter eventhough it could be more powerful on the Autobahn. Might post a pic or two later.

Planning to get a new car next year, I've started saving up.

My first car (Still have it) is a 2013 Volkswagon Golf which I got from my parents when I passed my driving test nearly 2 years ago. I got it in white and with 5 doors (4 door for those who understand it differently). Its a great car plus white stands out and it gets me around and is well on the motorway (highway) and in the countryside.
