To me it`s Bulgarin. In both games, IV and TBOGT. Some people say he wasn`t so scary in TBOGT but i disagree, he was f*cking intimidating but it in TLAD it was showned by his bright sight as well. But he was really terrifying. Actually no GTA character didn`t seem that scary to me except for Bulgarin. Everything about it, his voice, his looks.. And that mission in TBOGT where he ambushed Luis on that rooftop, man that sh*t was creepy as hell. It`s the only mission in GTA where i felt really scared when i did it for the first time.

It`s the kind of guy you wouldn`t want to meet in real life.

Stretch is without a doubt the most intimidating gangster in the whole damn series. He was in prison, that's how intimidating he was. We don't even know his backstory, but you just know that he's seen some sh*t. Not to mention, he made the perfect antagonist. He was cleverly built up for the whole game's story, his conflict with Franklin was brilliantly written, and he ends in the best way to end an antagonist as significant as him.

End of sarcasm. Stretch was weak. I will say that the first thing I thought of when I saw the thread's title was an original mob family I came up with in the GTA IV Chain Story - the Strip Mafia in Las Venturas. They use squirt guns, they steal cars off the road to use as their gang cars, and they wore fedoras.

Salvatore is definitely among the most intimidating. Even as an old man, he was still kicking ass at LCS and found himself in the middle of ambushes. I don't know if Toreno qualifies as a gangster but he would give anyone the creeps just by his mysterious ways and stoic expression.

OG Loc on the other hand, can't even intimidate a baby with his try-hard "I'm gangsta" attitude and high pitched voice.

For protagonists, Vic, Tommy and Michael are not to be f*cked with. Strong and no-nonsense in Vic's case and simply skilled criminals for the other two.

I'll stick with Gerald McReary & Salvatore Leone for the most intimidating ones. OG Loc and Wu Zi Mu are the least intimidating guys about the mobsters.

Not many intimidated me but Gerry McReary always had that kinda fear factor every time you are introduced to him, in every playthrough I've done.

How could you put Dimitri on "least"?
Kidnapping and killing Niko's family isn't worth anything?

Pretty spot-on list, though.

My list of most intimidating gangsters:

Salvatore Leone-He was something what many people think of when they think of a mafia boss,he had power. If he didn´t try to kill Claude,he would probably still control LC.

Mikhail Faustin-Very unpredictable and crazy character. It was scary how he shot his thug that kidnapped Niko and Roman just for doing something wrong.

Dimitri Rascalov-Another unpredictable character,but unlike Faustin,he wasn´t crazy,but instead a cunning traitor.

Bulgarin-When he appeared in GTA 4 he was really scary. They did make him a little less scary in TBOGT,but it´s still crazy and scary how he shot at and maybe even killed his own sister.

Billy Grey-He was also an unpredictable traitor, and also very violent(he shot the AOD biker in front of The Lost clubhouse,he smashed that mechanic´s face...)and fearless(he participated in some attacks on AOD).

Sweet-He is experienced in crime, lives by his ideals and is not afraid to risk his life to do something(like when he jumped on a firetruck to try to stop Tenpenny or when he helped in some attacks on Ballas).

Hazer-That crazy dude stormed a projects full of armed Vagos while wielding a katana. He did get shot by the end of the shootout, but for a minor character surviving that long without a gun is pretty impressive.

most of the protagonists-I guess almost all,if not all of them did something incredibly badass(Johnny storming a prison,CJ breaking into military bases,Tommy storming a cartel mansion and later defending it from mafia...)or ruthless and scary(Trevor torturing a guy,Toni blowing up an entire neighborhood...)at some point.

My list of least intimidating gangsters:

Martin Madrazo-Leader of a cartel, surrounded by thugs, and Trevor still kidnapped his wife in his own house.

Brian Jeremy-How did that dork even make it in the badass biker gang?

Joseph Daniel O´Toole-He looked even more dorky than Brian Jeremy, but at least he was never a full member of the mafia.

Stretch-For an OG,that guy wasn´t really badass or intimidating. The only violent thing he did was killing that Ballas OG D,but even that was only to save himself.

Playboy X-He acted more like some rapper who only talks about money than a real gangster.

Jizzy B-A wannabe tough guy.The guy was just beating up hookers, but when CJ pointed a gun at him,he looked like he was going to piss his pants.

I think Rocco was pretty intimidating with his usual arrogance, Tommy V too was a pretty efficient mobster, I wouldn't like to be confronted to The Harwood Butcher.

On the other hand, OG Loc was a joke and Stretch, apart from a low-life bully, wasn't efficient at all.

Altough Dimitri represents a huge threat for Niko and his friends he still doesn`t feel that intimidating due to his his visual appearance. He looks more like some accountant than a mobster. That cheap suit, eyeglasses and dorky face really doesn`t feel so scary.

But however he was one of the most dangerous enemies.

Dimitri is little more than a weasel who lied, tricked, and snaked his way into power...and even than he didn't intimidate Niko a bit.

A character that hasn't been mentioned yet is Liz Torrez, and I'd put her on the intimidating list. She's your ally, but she has no qualms about killing people. She seems like the type who would be friendly to allies, but if you turn on her (or if you just annoy her too much) she'll but a bullet in your head and sell your corpse to black market organ harvesters.

On the other hand, Steve Haines and Devin Weston aren't intimidating at all. Seriously, Devin hides in a beach crate when you come for him.

I think we can all agree that GTA V had the worst Antagonists in the whole series by a mile.
