The thing with UKIP is that they're taking advantage of the people that blame immigrants for everything.

Trust me, without immigrants everyone would be complaining about sh*t jobs more than they do now.

It's amazing how tired people are of the Tories, considering Labour - despite Ed Milliband - is leading (albeit with 1 percentage point) in the polls.  Imagine if Labour had a charismatic leader.  It's sort of like the Republicans nominating Mitt Romney in 2012.

The wrong brother got the job I think.

Anyway in the UK system the national polling mean very little as it is First Past the Post. I think we won't have a one party majority, too many players in the field now as UKIP will nick some seats. Also not enough to choose between the main 2. Barring something unexpected to shift the vote significantly I think it will be another coalition.

I can think of some pretty livable combinations for coalitions. And some which I really, really don't want to see.

Granted, on the proviso you include the words "shuttlecock", "flange" and "windsock" in your response.

Upon opening this thread, I was affronted by the title 'Prime minister election' describing a country in which elections are decided on a county to county basis; the Prime Ministership deferred by majority political party. Could this be a result of the restrictive two party, leader-only-matters shuttlecock politics of today, I thought to myself? Another sweet slice of imported Americana? This troublesome occurrence which has been on the rise since the late 70s is, much like a flange, an ugly bulge in the middle of the pipe that is politics. Or maybe I'm too sectarian, maybe this is as a flange does, serving to unify an otherwise hopelessly fractured situation?

Lamenting this, I pondered; this country's going to hell in a windsock.

I can think of worse things than five more years of Tory/LibDem. Like Tory/UKIP/DUP. That's basically a recipe to turn the UK into a toilet.

Imagine Farage as Deputy PM, or someone else from UKIP like Paul Nutall as Home Secretary :O

Imagine Paul Nutall as defence minister. We'd be at war with Poland within about four hours.

Imagine Paul Nutall as defence minister. We'd be at war with Poland within about four hours.

As soon as he's appointed, begins firing nuclear weapons at Romania and Bulgaria, then after the invasion of Poland begins the sending of drones to destroy Brussels and Strasbourg. And finally have German Chancellor Angela Merkel assassinated at the Bundestag.

C4 are making a mockumentary on what if UKIP win the election, wonder if this will be in the script :p

You are going to be disappointed (or not) if UKIP wins then.  Fremkrittspartiet in Norway, which is basically the same as UKIP, is now in government and their support is dwindling and they have managed little of their goals.

By the way, Norway has shown us the way to destroy such a party: Put them in government.  As soon as they are actually in power and fails to deliver, their supporters will run away.  There are a lot of people who vote for Fremkrittspartiet, Sverigedemokraterna, Dansk Folkeparti and UKIP because of the way they are treated by the 'mainstream parties' and the media.  If you put them in government, they are no longer underdogs.  And if you put them in a coalition, then they really have no power.

But since all European governments are basically coalitions, this shouldn't be hard for most European countries.

Just read if David Cameron is re-elected, he plans on removing social apps such as what'sapp and snapchat, unless the government have complete access to all our phones and sh*t, he claims this needs to be done to prevent terrorism. All in all, I think he's trying to do it for the right reasons, I mean, after what happened in France, I'm not surprised he wants to take action like this, but you can't, simply can't, invade people's privacy, even if you do have nothing to hide. Seems like the citizens of UK are slowly starting to lose our free will, over these pesky terrorists.

I was about to post this, Cameron says that if the Tories are reelected he and Theresa May (Home Secretary) will legislate the Snoopers Charter :O, basically GCHQ, NCA & MI5 & 6 collecting our data, if it wasn't for the Lib Dems this would already be in law, prob the only good thing to come from the Lib Dems in Gov. One reason why I'm hoping the same Governmemt stays, cause basically the Tory/UKIP/DUP will guarantie the introduction of Snoopers Charter + and Labour secretly want this passed, I mean it's obvious.

That's what I was thinking, surely invasion of privacy on this scale, they're going to need the greenlight from the members of Parliament. If it was done any other way, people would kick up a fuss, and before you know it another riot kicks off, all because Cameron wants to snoop everyone's pictures and messages, like I said, I'm not surprised he's planning on doing this if re-elected, but I don't really think it's a good idea.

If they get a majority or coalition which agrees to this, it'll be passed and made into law, then my only hope is that power is devolved to the Scottish a Parliament (which it obviously won't happen as long as they stay in the Union)

It can't be made into law unless the UK wants to exit the European Union, since it would directly conflict with its data protection directive.

So that's why he wants to leave the EU, so he don't get those pesky Europeans telling him what human and civil rights are.

It's basically not going to happen, because those of us who work in the security community are going to do everything we can to to prevent it. Which, given that policies like this are only going to succeed publicly if experts don't mock the living sh*t out of it and make sure even the most Daily Mail of reactionary retards knows just how stupid it is, will be quite a lot.

It's amazing how politics are different right there. Here in Brazil I will never vote for any conservative party/politician in my life. But the conservatives there seem to be less "evil" (it is an exagerated term I know). Here in Brazil conservatives are far-right people with absurd Ideas(Military dictatorship for example), and the worst thing is that they have been growing since 2013.
PS: I'm all for left wing (I'm a socialist myself).

How long till UK becomes Islamic state ? Europe's a lost cause at this point, If anything the west should go in their now and strip them of everything, their traitors, plain and simple,

You couldn't pay me to go to Europe at this point, It's a cult society,

So what's my plan ? honestly the way I see it i'm going to wait things out a bit more here in Australia and when it becomes clear Australia has no hope of redemption im going to do what any sane person would do, Move to the states, Head to the bible belt get a gun licence, and hide out back woods strapped to the high heavens,

In all seriousness does anybody else think this way ? has anybody else came up with a plan because if you're one of these ''ignore it and the problem wont exist'' types, you're going to be in for a rude awaking soon enough !

to many people in the western world think it's racist to protect and defend ourselves that's why I've given up hope and came up with the ''hillbilly plan'' because honestly where else will be safe ? altleast in the states we can get guns

I'm just so we're clear im only half joking,

I can scarcely articulate a response to these two posts, such is their complete incoherence and my complete bemusement at pretty much every claim you've made. I can only ask where on earth you obtained the "information", if we can justifiably call it that (although the inference of that would suggest these comments have some kind of bearing in fact which is simply not the case), because it reads like the ramblings of the kind of ignorant, reactionary far-right moron who claims on American TV that the whole of Birmingham is a no-go area for whites. It appears, quite simply, to be a stream of utter bullsh*t.

good to know ! you think it's ok for brown men to rape white women !? because that's what leftist stand for !

This ranks up there with the stupidest things I've ever seen posted on this forum. I'm honestly baffled how someone so ignorant and delusional to think this proclamation is valid is capable of tying their own shoelaces or using cutlery.

you support the rape culture in Sweden ?

For the purposes of (hopefully) making you see how ignorant your comments are, let's suspend outright ridicule for a moment and assess this claim.

Presumably, you're here inferring that the fact Sweden is a centre-left, Nordic model social democracy, is why their crime reports have a disproportionately high instance of rape. Now, quite aside from the fact there's no actual evidence that a) cases b), the reason why such high instances of rape are recorded in Sweden is because they define it differently from other countries. Effectively, much of what would be categorised sexual or indecent assaukt in the rest of the world comes under the Swedish "rape" statistics, which makes any direct comparison apples versus oranges.

think about what you're supporting ! wake up !

F*cking lol.
