PS2 motion blur can be easily done with Motion Blur Advanced, even the static one. However, the said plugin also adds motion blur to coronas (mostly notably the sun and moon). PS2 had motion blur on coronas?

I don't know whether it had motion blur on coronas but I really wish someone would redo it as "PS2 Motion Blur to PC" because Alexander Blade's old mods are really outdated, no offense. Look at the GTA IV HUD which is still used to this day but lacks basic GTA IV features, is unproportional and was done before GTA IV was even released. Then we have motion blur advanced which was done without the PS2 version in mind and only works with Hoodlum exe. It's nice and all but should be redone, just like Dexx's vehicle reflection. All these mods are based on screenshots and then started from scratch without looking at the original code by Rockstar. Now that we have people like The Hero and Silent who bring back original but cut features or people who bring back beta features it shouldn't be too hard for these guys to redo it. Exe compatibility and feature toggles are the way to go, in my opinion.

Done. Remember is a beta version.

IMPORTANT: Actually only works with a new game, sadly with a loaded save game have a lot of bugs (like black, red, green or blue cars).

 

I don't have any issues with savegames. Works really good. Still I need to find out if it causes bugs with twopass rendering because my fences are now invisible at times. Maybe it's caused by this mod. But otherwise. Looks awesome. Even the tires aren't as reflective anymore as with SAGFX, which is very good and also realistic. Otherwise people needed to fix the models.

 

I also found out that this one seems to actually change the reflection according to the sun and the rotation of the vehicle while Dexx version only changes the reflection according to the camera position (which is not realistic because that solution would assume that the camera is the sun itself).

 

 

Lucky bastard :p everybody on the PS2 reflections topic have problems (including me), if you can help with the bugs would be nice.

Hey guys looks like the Warp setting in the Motion Blur Advanced mod affects PS2 Atmosphere. The bigger value - the bigger impact

I think ALL Warps MUST be disabled. But then Motion Blur Advanced loses half of its necessity :(

It's not me who should talk about this since I have no idea how San Andreas works but, these look like simple trails to me, just slightly reworked. Again, don't take my word for it, I have no idea how GTA games work outside of III and VC.

What would be excellent would be restoring those voices and the censored blowjob animation, which seems mistakenly censored since it's in GTAIV, with proper scripting to make the sequence the same as GTA IV minus the service selection (unless anyone has found animation for other services). It needs to replace the car bouncing in a way that doesn't break the pimping missions. This is almost it but not quite right.

 

EDIT: yes I know this isn't a "PS2 feature"

The parachute with the mod installed is grey (no texture on the part that pops up once you open it) in SAMP, anyone has a fix for that?

I'd very much like to see a mod that disables the dynamic shadows while keeping the procedural objects (grass &c.)

 

A way to do this without CLEO is, ironically, DK22Pac's Shadows Settings Extender. If you edit its original shadows.ini to [STENCIL_SHADOWS] FlagIgnoreSomeShadows=1, DisableBuildingShadows=1 and [REALTIME_SHADOWS] to MaxDistance=15.0, DrawVehicleDefaultShadow=1, you'll have grass and only PS2-style shadows when you're on Medium.

 

The reason to set MaxDistance=15.0 is for consistency because that's about the fixed draw distance of the vehicle default shadow and it makes no sense for ped shadows to draw farther.

Can't reproduce. It still draws the dynamic shadows. Maybe DK22Pac will make a shadow mod that just enables the crappy PS2 shadows (I promise I'll document the PS2 dff native data :D).

With Mix Mods can enable PS2 shadows with grass, etc too in medium, high or very high settings, only configure yourself. :p

Yep, I want one non-cleo too, like an ASI. But the cleo plugin is not bad either, does the job.
