He looks pretty good. Much better shape than his Burn Notice days.

I watched the original films quite recently for the first time. The first one I wasn't that into, because it feels like too much of a cliche watching it now. Still better than all the half-assed horror we get nowadays though.

The 2nd one was an excellent blend of comedy and horror.

The 3rd one got rid of the horror sadly and the comedy was sometimes too cartoony imo, but it had some of Ash's most memorable lines.

With that said I am very much looking forward to the new series, I hope it's most similar to the 2nd one.

I screamed in real life. Based Bruce Campbell.

Well he was the wash out of Mike's team. Bruce had to go method with chicken, mojitos, and Hawaiian shirts.

I'm still mad him and Coby Bell didn't get a spin off. The last episode teased at it so hard.

The remake? No. Bruce Campbell isn't even in it and I hear they got rid of the comedy so it doesn't really interest me.

Well, I'm not really a huge horror fan in general tbh. I only watched the originals, because I heard some of the awesome one-liners from them.

The first movie didn't really have any one-liners. You are kind of missing out, the remake is kind of a sequel to the first movie.

And the sequel is kind of a remake of the first movie. Whoa, I just blew my own mind.

Changed the title. Not sure why I never did.

Anyway. Watched the premiere. I loved it. How could I not? I wanted to get up and cheer, as a lifelong Evil Dead fan, at least twice. When he gets the chainsaw, and when he said, "Groovy".

This might be my new favorite show on TV.

Edit: Just watched the first episode. It absolutely feels like the originals. Can't wait for more.

Couple decades past and Bruce Campbell really didn't skip a beat did he

First episode was awesome.  Dude just gets stoned one night and accidentally wakes the dead, again.  That's beautiful lol

So I'm late for my own thread, again. Well what can I say, it's everything I expected it to be and then some. The cinematography is honestly very impressive, at times you'd think you're watching a movie not a show.

Yeah, it's great.

I am kind of concerned. Raimi has stated that he's really only involved with a couple episodes and then he's leaving the show in the hands of the other creative people. Which is the usual case for 99% of TV shows these days. I just hope they can keep up the tone Raimi had set.

Anyone kind of hoping that Jane Levi shows up, and they tie the original trilogy up with the remake?
