First off, literally everyone said more lore would be added and no one stated they didnt want more lore/story.
People were/are against your notion that a "competitive" team-based multiplayer game should put gameplay on the back burner and focus solely on shoehorning in an in-game story just because you, personally, were sold on a non-existing story that maybe, one day, eventually soon™, might be added.
“This year we tried something new with Doomfist, with the 2D animation, the team was just so excited because we always felt that Overwatch would be great realised as kind of a 2D cartoon,” speaking to the team’s love of anime.
All that means is that they wanted to do 2D and that was their attempt. That doesn't automatically mean that there's a netflix series in the works.
And for sh*t and giggles, lets say an animated series gets released tomorrow, you know what would happen?
Weeaboo c*nts who do nothing but write OW fanfics and bust their nuts to the full body pillows of which ever character is their waifu will lose their respective sh*t if everything isn't exactly how they wanted it.
"76 and Mercy don't ever f*ck?!" Write angry comments on the Blizz forums.
"Genji and Hanzo don't have a gay incestuous f*ck fest?!" Make YT vid about Blizz shunning "taboo" culture from another country.
"Widow and Tracer's c*nts dont catch fire from a vigorous scissor fight" Create a petition to have the animated series canceled becuase Blizz "doesnt support the LGBT community".
There's plenty of lore out there thanks to people like you.
The so-called game-bots are nowhere near the worse the OW "community" has to offer, especially compared to you and your ilk.
