And the worst part of those wikis. If you try to correct them or delete false information, they'll revert your edits and claim to be right about everything.
 
The best way to know about the games is playing them, not reading some site full of fics. And this comes from someone who worked on a GTA wiki for many years.

I've added quite a lot of info to GTW, and I've always added sources. I've looked through a lot of american.gxt and there seems to be a lot of cut missions in there but no mention at all of Apartment 3C.

Exactly.

I read some dialogues and other stuff on gamefaqs all the time a while ago and I knew for a fact there was no text about 3C. It's a very inaccurate site.

In on of the first stages of the beta, the Dodo was supposed to be introduced instead of the Skimmer, and it was supposed to be spawned in the southern part of Escobar International.

Wasn't it the supposed highways that were meant to link Vice City to the Florida Keys (or the Vice City rendition of them anyway)?

^ I believe so. There was originally the Gator Keys and I assume that those are the bridges connecting them to Vice. Too bad they never got implemented. Would've been nice to see some countryside in VC.

Yup, the gate's color is cyan instead of blue and the texture quality is worse.

You could originally gamble in the Beta of Vice City, but it was sadly removed  :blink:

  • According to files found on the PS2 disc, there is an interior for the Inside Track in Vice Point, indicating that betting was initially for Vice City but got delayed until GTA San Andreas.

Speaking of InterGlobal Studios, there was a removed mission for Steve during the InterGlobal asset:

  • At an unknown point during the film studio missions, the player was supposed to get a phone call from Steve Scott. He mentioned that they needed a car chase scene but that their budget couldn't stretch around to it. The player was supposed to pick up a car left by Steve at the airport and perform an unknown task.

Speaking of the Gator Keys, there was a removed mission for Avery that (possibly) had something to do with them:

  • At an unknown point in the storyline, the player was supposed to get a phone call from Avery Carrington. He mentioned that a representative of him needed chaperoning out to the Gator Keys, as he was after some land out that way. The player was supposed to pick the representative up at Avery's own building site and make sure to get him there unharmed.

Is the Deluxo meant to be a "special" version of the Blista Compact, like the Sabre Turbo is for the Sabre?.

Reasons:

  • The Deluxo looks like the earlier "Blista GPX".
  • They both resemble each other.
  • When the front end is damaged, the Blista & Deluxo's front is exactly the same.
  • The back end of both cars are "teardrop shape".

Discuss?.

Isn't Blista Compact a special version of Blista?

Blista Compact and Deluxo are probably manufactured by the same company.

Deluxo is based upon DeLorean DMC-12, which was an american coupe, while Blista Compact is the equivalent of Honda CR-X - japanese hatchback (also, can be considered a hot hatch or simply a compact vehicle). That's a big difference, isn't it?

Furthermore, Deluxo was always meant to be GTA versio of DeLorean. That's proven by car's texture file:

See the rear light in the bottom right corner? Pure DeLorean.

 

 

 

  • When the front end is damaged, the Blista & Deluxo's front is exactly the same.

So does any car in the game. One decade ago no one was thinking about making detailed and complex vehicle models, because there were technological limitations. And also time. VC was developed in about 9 months, if I remember.
