I've held many drift meets and the cars always vary but I've also noticed that a few cars are consistent so as a result I want to discuss what is a drift car and what qualities classify a car as a drift car.

I'd like to start by giving a list of my drift cars: futo, intruder, ruiner, penumbra, raphsody( im not sute about the spelling on this last one)

What do you guys think of my cars agree disagree post your and lets start a civilized discussion about cars.

In GTA online, I consider any car that oversteers a lot and has a slidey feel to it to be a drift car. The Banshee is a great example.

My picks are Dominator and Asterope.

Asterope doesn't slide as easy, but with a little encouragement it's so damn easy to control.

Everyone's opinion of what drifting really is varies. I don't think that's worth discussing because we're talking about a game not the correct terminology to use in motorsport. "Cars you like to go sideways in".

Time to get your flame retardant suit out, OP...

OT: Futo, no contest. It has "DRIFT" written on the passenger seat.

There is no drifting in Gta V.

The best car for powersliding however is the Futo in my opinion. It can hold more angle than any other car.

You really can't drift in GTA, you can just powerslide through turns in some cars. Most of the muscle cars are tail happy, the Sentinel XS, Futo, Comet, pretty much anything that is harder to control.

I wish they added a drift mechanic! The rear tires just lose all traction when they start to spin.

Up for debate--"Drift", the most abused word by gta fans?

In any event.. If anyone has the Mercenary Mesa or whatever its called.. its pretty damn good at Powersliding.

If I want to drift powerslide, I usually use the Comet or Phoenix.

There are difrences between powersliding and drifting the main one being that in a drift you sacrifice little to no speed during a turn, and yes this can be done but thats not what the topic is about so I wont argue.

I really dont like the Banshee(or any other high powered vehicle) for drifting because not only do they have lots of grip but if you try to put throttle into them they tend to strighten up very quickly as opposed to letting the rear tires spin.

As for the dominator and asterope i enjoy driving those cars though i only own the dominator.

The only thing I hate about the Dominator is that during the sharper turns its weight is very hard to throw around and i end up losing a lot of speed.

and please ignore the people not taking part in the discussion.

How is one to discuss "drift" in GTA, when such a thing doesn't exist?

Maybe we could discuss who would like to be able to actually drift in GTA? I know I would...:(
