I'd hire Claude. No questions asked, gets the job done.

But for the worse part, Claude charges a lot of cash, I mean, f*ck, 1,000$ for driving a prostitute 3 blocks?

No I don't. Claude asks for way too much money. ($50,000 for reading a piece of paper, lol)

Basically this is Rockstar Logic. But anyway, he always does his jobs though.

Yeah lol...I think they merged the score system of GTA 1 & 2 with money. Not sure though.

Claude = Gets over 50,000 a mission but can't spend it (except guns and resprays).

CJ = so many things to buy yet he gets around $500.

wat

As far as side characters go, Lester Crest is my man.

He'll provide intricate planning, multiple options and arrange crew for a paltry 20%. And as he'd be the buffer between me and everyone else involved there's less risk than hiring one of the protagonists directly and them giving me up, although I would still have access to Michael, Franklin and Trevor and possibly even Niko. I'd only ever feel threatened if I put my profits into the wrong stock or if he took offence at my political leaning.

Gordon Sargent from GTAIV is pretty much the perfect dirty deeds guy. He'd probably stab someone in the eye for 500 bucks and some french fries.

Carl Johnson or Niko Bellic, because I like their style.

For sheer dumb loyalty I'd have to say CJ or Lamar, they would never betray you. They aren't professional though, I can imagine either being killed for their gang ties.

Niko is only trustworthy if you give him morally justifiable missions, pay him well and treat him well. A semi-professional. He is largely motivated by money but can choose to disobey orders if they suck, as witnessed with Ivan, Playboy X/Dwayne and Francis/Derrick McReary. Be on his good side!

Claude is the ultimate professional. I'd use him once or twice then go to the other side of the country so I wouldn't be taken out by him under the command of a rival employer.

Overall I'd pick CJ.
