Claude would be good but the craic would be awful. I'd go for Trevor because imo he's funny and gets the job done.

I'd go with Mr. Belic

Niko Bellic for me, he needs money, it pays, and he's good at it.

Niko. Because it pays good money and he gets the job done.

They don't do such small time jobs anymore. They hire people who work for them
So yeah, Niko or Claude.

Franklin or Niko.
Eh, id hire franklin as a getaway driver, but not as a hired gun.

Claude. If I would ever want a cousin or some other dirty rat in the family that I want to kill but can't do it myself for going to jail or end up in a mental hospital reasons,, I would hire Claude. No bullsh*t, no drama, he just DOES it. Amazing protagonist too, if I may add.

Niko will probably get the job done the most effectively without problems, Claude would be another great choice because he doesn't talk and just sticks straight to the job.

Claude. I'd pay him only half up front, tell Toni Cipriani where Claude'll be after the job and pocket the difference.
Otherwise, Vercetti for his experience and Bellic for his price.
Michael if I was hitting a bank.

I'd hire Claude to clean my house so I won't have to deal with any awkward maid-client small talk.
Le lavo sus calzones, señor?
But yeah, I'd hire Claude or Luis, Niko is too whiny and Trevor is a c*nt

Two people for this kind of job!
Claude... why? No questions asked. Although Claude could get the job done, I'd take some precaution before agreeing on doing business with him, because he's a bit liability IMO. Maybe I would give the first half of the money after giving him a job, and would give the other half after the thing is finished.
My second choice is Niko Bellic the Red Army motherf*cker. One reason is that I think Niko is the most skilled assassin when it comes the protags... I mean he's a natural born killer. Another reason is that although Niko is new to above-the-average criminal stuff, he tries to handle the situation with a professional's style. The last reason is that as long as he's paid and your job is not too much out of the ethics, Bellic will carry out the job in the most plausible way... and his price seems good for a sticky piece of work, actually.

Well I mean, CJ just kinda defies all laws of physics and reason whenever you want. If I asked CJ to wipe some small country off the face of the map, he could just inexplicably learn some para-military combat skills and round of some sci-fi equipment to get sh*t done...
And because as far as I can recall, CJ's one of the only GTA protagonists who doesn't have a history of ripping off/double-crossing/betraying their employers...

If it was a dirty job that needed done, I'd hire Niko because he goes for the money and gets it done. If it was a big job, I'd call up Michael. Experience is what Michael has more than any of the other protagonists and he's always knee deep in some kind of trouble, so he'd go for the money or simply the thrill of a heist.

I need to go to the store to get some chips and pop? f*ck driving, I'll get Tommy Vercetti to run to the store and get it.
@drunkencowboy - I think he did to Salvatore Leone by robbing his casino. I dunno if it was justified in the game or not though, all I know was that he worked for Sal and robbed his casino.

Claude or Niko,
Niko more likely, there's something creepy or untrustworthy about Claude. The rest are working for themselves basically.

I love Trevor but I certainly wouldn't hire him. If he didn't like what I pad he'd probably eat me or something.
Maybe Niko. He seems fine with being paid 1 K
