Take your steering wheel by the hands and throttle it like an infant child until you regain your confidence to drive once more.

How exactly did you crash? I mean, was it a wrong judgement on your part or did you just lose control? What did you crash into?

The most I've ever gone upto is 110km/h. Rarely do I ever drive above 80km/h. Not to mention, it's almost impossible to go above that with the kind of traffic we have here. Never had an accident though.

On the other hand, my dad crashed our new car pretty badly when he was learning to drive back in 2008. He jump-started the car, panicked when he saw a couple in front of the car and hit the accelerator instead of the brakes. Luckily, he managed to swerve in time and crashed into a tree. It was just outside our house so I managed to get the car back in (I was also a learner at the time). He was pretty shaken though; even cried a bit. He hasn't taken the car out of the compound ever since. Safe to say, he won't be driving again for the rest of his life.

well the crash happened right after a heavy rain n the highway was incline, all i know was i was goin through the bend normally n like after the bend the frount wheels lost traction n it fell like as if the car  had no power, the front started to fall to the right while having no traction so i turned a bit to the left n it just kept torque steering holy f*ck that was scary n  after i think 2 times of regaining control i finally couldn't do it the third time, it hits the wall like with like crazy momentum n spun out. if there were any motorcyclist i would have killed em for sure which i realli dun wanna.

Hopefully You Don't. If you do not know for a fact that 120 is too fast off the Autobahn (74 miles per hour, 2 kilometers per minute).

Moved to Vehicle Chat. Sounds to me like you were driving too fast for the conditions and aquaplaned.

so would it be any different if the car was not turbo charged? n why didn't traction control step in n fix it? why did it continue to torque steer.

Because it was wet. The wheels had no traction to the tarmac so the wheels would of kept spinning no matter how hard you hit the brakes. I wouldn't be driving at 120 in the rain ever. Just because it's the speed limit doesn't mean you have to drive exactly at 120. Always happens over here in Ireland on the motorway, especially combined with tailgating.

yea but isn't traction control there to prevent wheel spin? i didn't even step on the gas that much just like a bit to keep to the car goin.

Traction control and stability control won't prevent aquaplaning as they only really work in environments where grip is available. It's also not a "fix" of any kind; it can't defy the laws of physics.

If you aquaplaned, lost grip and crashed then it had nothing to do with the turbo, aside from it enabling you to reach the speed somewhat faster.

i "think" if i didn't step on the gas during thebend which did something to the turbo, then i wouldn't have lost traction at the straight incline after the bend coz if i just let it roll on its own it won't lose traction.

does this make sense?

You were simply going too fast and aquaplaned. That happens when the road is wet and you are going so fast that your tires are no longer planted on the road, but rather floating on top of the water. When this happens, you can lose control very easily.

Drive slower when it's raining.

Ive almost crashed numerous times Due to poor judgement of either myself or the other people. Id probably say just ease on into driving until you're back to normal. Try a lot of city driving before going on the slowhighway

also a 120 kmh crash is pretty fast. but it depends on what you hit. If you hit a slower vehicle from the rear, then its not so bad compared to hitting a vehicle going the other way or a stationary object

Too bad that a nice 9-5t was banged up. Is it salvagable?
