I know you've been complaining, but you weren't ready.

The Aphex Twin, who hasn’t released a proper album since 2001′s Drukqs, announced SYRO–his new album–via the deep web (accessible through Onion Routing) on Monday.

The UK-based artist, born Richard D. James, has released a scant amount of work in the past 13 years, which includes his Analord series. There’s also been speculation that he was behind The Tuss releases.

He posted a link to his newest album on his Twitter. The link he tweeted only works with the Tor browser and service.

There also appears to be a tracklist, which can be viewed in the top image.

It’s unclear what label he’ll be releasing the album on–Rephlex, which he partially owns, or Warp records.

A few weeks ago, the Caustic Window LP was sold for tens of thousands of dollars and was put up on YouTube.

Aphex Twin never loses his classic ways, and adapts to technology quite easily. He's basically posted the tracklist and the name of the album on the deep web, which is f*cking genius. Can't wait to see what he's got.

For those of you who don't feel comfortable with Tor, the tracklist is in the article.

I thought the deep web was only for pedos and gore freaks. Guess it fits Aphex Twin. He is one weird motherf*cker.

Death Grips already did the deep web gig and they did it better with a fun ARG along the way. Nevertheless, can't wait for this release.

Aphex Twin literally JUST unleashed the first track of the new album. Seems just right on track with the old stuff, awesome!

Yeah sound like a fusion of Aphex Twin + AFX if that makes sense haha - but the last album being all laptop stuff, this seems to have lots of nice hardware instruments.. like the Analord AFX stuff. Really nice. :D

I think some of The Tuss' stuff is a good indication of what else might be on there.

Man, I love the tempo of minipops 67
