Grand Theft Auto: America is a revolutionary title in the GTA series that sends you, whether in single-player or online multiplayer, across a massive, open-world, map covering the entire continental United States.

You will play as three protagonists: Chad Chapman, Merle Bryan and Owen Roberson; all of whom form the backbone of the 781s, the most notorious street gang in Carcer City. When playing as each of the three, you will work to increase the 781s' relationship with other gangs across the United States, from the North Holland Hustlers in Liberty City to the Grove Street Families in Los Santos. However, you will be playing as a different protagonist in the online multiplayer mode.

In addition, the entire map is free to explore from the start, allowing you to instantly visit the busy streets of Liberty City, the sunny shores of Vice City Beach, the magnificence of Picoton's Great Canyon and the breathtaking views from the tallest mountain in the continental United States, Mount Chiliad. Each location is bound with surprises that are waiting for you to uncover.

And vehicle missions return by popular demand! Take injured patients on the Las Venturas Strip to local hospitals in the Ambulance missions, put out car fires in downtown Midway and chase down criminals on Aguasula's oceanfront roads.

The map will be about 80 times larger than GTA V's, including a wide range of cities, suburbs, rural areas, small towns, states and shorelines-right down to completely-burnt-out residential blocks in Carcer City, ski hills in western Broncear and the storm drains and billboard-lined boulevards of Los Santos.

Do you actually think ANY of these concepts will EVER be an actual game? -.- Although I agree that this is pretty crappy right now, the concept threads are really awesome.

Indeed the purpose of those concepts is not to predict the next GTA game. It's all just for fun (I'm preparing my own concept right now for GTA Berlin, and I know that R* had stated that they won't leave America).

I hope this concept doesn't die soon.

Hehe, the first time I ever saw Midnight Club 3 I was playing it at my cousin's house, and I saw all the license plates and asked him if you could go to all those states, and he told me the map was the entire United States, with every city, highway, and road that's in it. I actually believed him until I bought the game for myself. :p

This concept looks interesting. I'll keep my eyes on it. :)

THAT WOULD BE f*ckING AWESOME, but I think it will not be possible to make such a game. That many cities!? Do you know how much work that would be? Creating thousands of missions, landscapes, buildings would take at least 10 years...

Personally, I like a bit more focus. It seems like a game that would try to incorporate too many different things and not really pull any of them off. I mean, for a lot of people, something like this is great; a giant sandbox/toybox, I'd just like a bit more direction in terms of what the game is 'about', so to speak.

They work a little bit differently iirc, but you can still drive an NPC's taxi and deliver passengers for cash. Someone on the wiki should probably make note of that.

Actually, taxi missions and rides will only work within the urban areas of the map, but there's always driving and bus, plane and train rides to make up for it.

An extremely big playground, which I hope you'll spend some time on perfecting it by doing it more detailed.

Also, You've chose a nice color scheme. I hope you understand what I mean.

I think you updating one post at a time would be better as opposed to posting when ready. It's okay to post WIP, that way you can get comments.

I like this idea, it's very unique and ambitious.

I'd like to see some more Southern towns as I am a Southerner myself (Virginia to be specific, though Virginia is weird in that it's both Southern and Mid-Atlantic depending on who you ask).

Here's some cities and towns you could add for the South and Mid-Atlantic.

Oriole City (Based on Baltimore, Maryland, Major City)
