Have you tried re-installing the game? There may be a corrupt sound file or two.

Good day to you all!

I have an annoying problem with GTA 3. When I go to the menu, the sounds are bad... so it crackles... but WHY?! I've bought the game on: gamesrocket.de and have a uncut patch installed. (without problems, and all is uncut - and the sound problems have come only after several hours of play...) Please help me... :(

And sorry for my bad english I'm from Germany - therefore also the uncut patch

As far as I know, some people even consider the actual menu sounds as quite bad.

If that's not the case with the OP, it must mean some files have gotten corrupted during the installation process. It's not something rare in GTA 3's case.
