I saw a video with information about vehicles for patch 1.16. They mentioned a Coquette Classic, a car with little history in the GTA Universe (it debuted in IV). I had an idea about classic versions current nameplates in GTA V/Online.

a Banshee classic based on the one found in III, LCS, and SA942036-banshee__gta_sa_.jpg

a Turismo classic based on the version from San Andreas 300px-Turismo-GTASA-front.jpg

a Cheetah classic based on the version found in San Andreas or VC/VCS Cheetah-GTASA-front.jpg

an Infernus classic based on the version from VC and VCS 20090516163413!Infernus-GTAVC-front.jpg

The Banshee is the same sh*t basically.

The others might work. Except the Jester for very obvious reasons.

I really want the ZR-350 off San Andreas.

Why? Because RX7.

EDIT: I would also like that older Turismo to return, since it's based on my favorite car (F40).

This has given me the perfect idea on what Rockstar should actually do with their next small DLC.

It would be 80's themed. You get a classic Infernus, a classic Comet, a Deluxo and the Streetfighter. Include 80's style outfits like a pastel suit, hawiian shirts, John Bender style outfits, etc. Weapons could be the Ruger from VC and maybe something else??? Small new car customisation options like Vice City number plates, new horns that sound like the VC and VCS mission passed theme.

I went a bit off topic there, but hell it's a good idea none the less.

I agree with the OP. A classic sports/super car pack would be superb. We damn sure need an 80's Cheetah and an older Infernus.

If they do reuse the IV Coquette, I hope they at least give it flip headlight lights. Looks strange with normal ones.

And I agree with that idea of more classics of current cars. Imagine getting a Countach styled 80's Infernus.

I imagine it would look like a classic Corvette, not like the GTA IV Coquette. The GTA IV model ain't classic.

I was quite surprised that V didn't offer generations of vehicles - I would have loved it if there'd been all three versions of the Blista Compact available. I mean, let's be honest, the only one that really matters is the SA version, but no, we get the modern version and it's sh*t.

There should have been a handful of cars that had generational variations. It would have been even better if they'd managed to control vehicle spawning and allowed all versions to potentially spawn at the same time, so you could see the different ages of cars. That would be realistic. There's not a city in the world where, when a new version of a car is released, EVERYONE trades in and gets the new version.

Yeah agreed it will be pretty cool cruising around and occasionally bumping into the different variants of say an Infernus, but who knows maybe it will be possible now with more RAM.

You seem to forget about the Cavalcade, the Oracle, the Buffalo and the Badler.

Also, the IV Blista was the best. I don't understand the hate on the new Blista (maybe because it replace such a iconic car).

Anyway, all yours IV car will be available soon on PC

'67 Stingray, please. I wouldn't mind the Coq from IV, but I'd rather have an actual classic.

I completely agree. R* should add vehicle generations. We already have 2 generations of Buffalo, Baller and maybe some other cars too. Now Coquette joins the party. I`m expecting a 1970s Corvette version not the one from GTA4. I would really love to see a previous generation Penumbra, Elegy, Sentinel. Oh and also police vehicles as civilian versions. That LSPD cruiser is so damn awesome!

I want the SA Infernus as a classic Dinka Jester (since the new Jester is the modern NSX).

Actually generations of vehicles should be one of R*'s priorities when it comes to vehicles in the next GTA. I mean yeah we got two Buffalos, but they're pretty similar. Maybe if we got a '69 Doge Charger and the modern Chargers both as the Buffalo then it would make sense.

Plus anybody bitching about the Blista, yeah it was a better vehicle in IV, but it could have been worse: we could have gotten the III & LCS versions of it couldn't we?

Wouldn't be THAT bad IMO. It would look better than the Vapid Minivan that's for sure.

Not this thread - this is about older counterparts of vehicles existing in V.
