So I recently went to LA, and I drove on the freeways heading into and out of the city a few times. And I must say that I felt like I was in GTA V. The way the traffic was passing and I was passing just felt so similar to the game that I thought I was in the game for a moment. It was strange, nothing has ever felt like that before to me, not even LC since I'm from NYC.

The way the traffic was passing

Were lots of pedestrians getting hit by cars without the drivers bothering to stop?

When I get Hella blazed and focus on GTA, I feel the same. Or when I'm playing with some cool friends.

L.A.Noire would like to have a word with you ;) Even though it's set across the late 1940's, the LA Map used in that game is 90% Accurate to the actual LA at the time, so detailed that even people who lived in LA during that time were talking about how the game gives them flashbacks and how they remembered some streets.

(The Crew vs GTA 5 - Which Version of LA is Best?)

Note:The Mapping Thread is just Fantastic aswell...

The Crew has most of the United States. V has just LA. A very good LA, but still, that's why V's LA is better. You can't expect The Crew's makers to put detail into one of the 'how many?' cities in the game.

IMO they did a great job on the freeways. The details are just amazing. I love the way how the Los Santos Freeway turns from a six lane into a four lane after the last exit. It really feels like you're leaving/entering the city.

About that GTA V vs The Crew comparison: I might buy The Crew when I get a PS4. It looks awesome. Detail wise V is on another level but that's obvious since The Crew is a racing game.

Only the NY Thruway and the NYC highways. But LA had a totally different feeling.

True Crime LA is actually a more realistic replica. They got the exact street names down and everything. And this is coming from someone who lives in LA.
