We see it all the time. Those new users who joined just a few days ago, who can barely speak English and leave poorly typed comments in threads that barely relate to the subject if at all. These users usually come from places such as Brazil, India, Mexico, and other Pagan devil countries. It's annoying, but I think I have found the solution.

Imagine being able to fully understand and comprehend a topic and its posts because everyone knows proper English. I believe that if we established a spelling and/or literacy test, we would no longer have to put up with this stuff. For example, we could require that all new members create a well-written, 500-word essay on why they want to join GTAForums, or give a 100-question test to evaluate the user's spelling and grammar skills. This would filter out the users who don't know English.

This isn't to say that spelling and grammar errors should/will be completely eliminated. Hell, I'm sure I made a mistake or two in this post. The idea of this is to prevent more "HUE HUE HUE" or "how get zentarano in gta 5 pls add xbox" threads.

Just a thought. :)

So essentially what you're proposing is that we should discriminate against people who don't master the English language?

If someone posts a topic or makes a post and nobody can understand what they're saying, that's their problem to worry about, not yours.

It's long-lived tradition of English speaking peoples everywhere....
