On Xbox:

Go to System Settings > Storage. Highlight the desired device, press Y and select Clear System Cache. When it's finished, all Title updates of every game that you have will be deleted.

Don't know how to do it on PS3, sorry.

There are two ways to clear the game cache properly for GTA V on a PS3. Well actually three ways, but that would include formatting the HDD etc.. So let's just stick to the two other ways huh LOL

It all depends on what version of GTA V you use. Disc or Digital version and maybe even the actual version of PS3.

But regardless of what you're using, one of these two steps should get the job done.

Clear the game cache - Step One (This may be working for most PS3 gamers?)
1. Disconnect your console from Internet.
2. Insert the game to console and start up the game.
3. Right after starting up the game. Press the (L1) and (R1) buttons simultaneously for a few seconds (and then let go of all the buttons again please) :D
4. Wait until the moment where the loading screen for Story Mode should start to appear, to see if it worked. If it worked, you'll be prompted with the brightness settings first off, before Story Mode starts to load.

Clear the game cache - Step Two (This works for gamers who use disc on the PS3 Fat version)
1. Disconnect your console from Internet.
2. Insert the game to console and start up the game.
3. Right after starting up the game. Press the (L1) and (R1) and (X) buttons simultaneously for a few seconds (and then let go of all the buttons again please) :panic:
4. Wait until the moment where the loading screen for Story Mode should start to appear, to see if it worked. If it worked, you'll be prompted with the brightness settings first off, before Story Mode starts to load.

Overall.. After clearing the game cache, you will have to redo the brightness settings, set your language preference and may have to re-accept the EULA. If the brightness settings don't show up, before the Story Mode starts to load, you didn't do it right. Restart the game and clear the cache all over again.

Btw..
No, Nothing will happen to your GTA Online character, and nothing will happen to all the stuff you got from the updates.
No, you don't clear game cache via the browser. The only thing you clear are the Internet cache. It has nothing to do with game cache at all.
