A pair of Adidas that completely lost its sole after 6 months. At least a pair of Nike lasts about a year.*

An expensive train ticket when I was totally drunk and L.A. Noire. That's it.

A green laser pointer.. I bought one recently and while its what I wanted, I haven't had as much fun with it as I thought I would. :p

I bought the latest generation iPod Shuffle with 2gb a few months back only for someone to gift me an iPod Nano 6th generation a few days later and it had 16gb.. also something I shouldn't have done.

I donno. Rocky IV was pretty damn good. That figure should be worth quite a lot now.

SodaStream, for the original intent of producing cheap soda at home (much like the old soda fountain).
Turned out that the expensive flavourings cost as much (actually more) as Real soda in the long run. Buying the Store Brands (88¢) Soda is cheaper, almost half the cost of SodaStream.

Plus, it turns out that all the normal flavours of the SodaStream brand are DIET (aspartame) crap. They fraudulently imply that their flavour isn't 'diet' because some of their flavours being labeled 'Diet' by use of a different artificial sweetener.
The "Naturally Sparkling" flavour uses real Sugar but is 33% more expensive and, all but impossible to find. To order it direct doubles the cost because of the shipping charges
I think it may take about 10 years to recover the cost of the base unit (69.99$US) by just making sodawater.

Dead Island: Riptide, which I bought last year not long after its release. The concept seemed really good and a YouTube playthrough of the early stages of the game seemed good. However, I just wasn't really able to enjoy the game. I've never really been a zombie game fan, but this one seemed like I would enjoy it. Shelved it within days of buying it and haven't touched it since.

Haha, exactly the same here.

Always though I was unique in doing that. :D

I don't regret that at all - I actually believe it is the smart thing to do. I really can't see a point in having more than one pair of smart shoes, one pair of work shoes (smart-casual and comfortable), one pair of trainers (sneakers in US) etc...

What I regret was buying Dead Island: Riptide.

SodaStream, for the original intent of producing cheap soda at home (much like the old soda fountain).

Thanks. I can't tell you now many times I've talked myself out of purchasing one for myself...and I dont even drink soda. *I do drink ginger ale and seltzer.

Quick side story:
When the KMart in town was closing and clearing out their inventory they had shelf upon shelf of SodaStreams. They must have had a huge inventory of them thinking they were going to big sellers.

I can't say I have any regretful purchases. I picked up a pair of spy sunglasses with a built in hidden camera from ebay for $40. When I pluged them in via the provided usb they melted.

SimCity 4 off of Steam. That game wasn't optimized for monitors bigger 1280.

Candy, consumables I didn't need. What a waste of money, for momentary pleasure followed by immediate guilt and discomfort

I mostly purchase games so I'll have to say GTA V Collectors Edition and recently Battlefield 4 on the PS3 despite it being on sale.

That´s one damn long list. Most of the stuff I have purchased are collecting dust. The market men are ingenious in mind manipulation and creating new needs for You.

I have stopped purchasing unnecessary junk for myself. I forward all that money now to my Goddess. She makes better use of it.
