Trouble with GTA:VC custom SFX

I was replacing the default siren sounds for the cop car with alcis SAAT and all goes well with replacing the files but they dont seem to work right in the actual game. They sound perfect when I change them and test it in SAAT but then all I get is distorted noise and when I go back to SAAT the same thing happens and also makes SAAT unstable.


Any ideas what problem I'm having?



And also:


I'm making a cleo script which will bring on the vehicles blue lights without the SFX (much similar to the siren mod for SA) but also being able to choose different SFX to play within the mod at keypress. Such as 3 different siren tones.
