I have done Jet Lag Race about 10 times + other Air races about 20 times and my flying skill has rose about 50%-58%... This is f*cking sh*t! Any thoughts about this?

Flying skill isn't all that important IMO.

Stop trying to grind it and let it build up naturally.

it doesnt even make a difference anyway

just land and take off succesfully, repeatedly and that should be the fastest way

You don't need to fly for 5 minutes. It's just like swimming(lung capacity) You go under the water, surface again, then go back under. You keep repeating it.

It's the sam as the plane, just take off fly for like 3 seconds then land again. That's what I did.

Really? I always have it maxed naturally by level 30 or so. Driving is the only thing that happens faster. On the other hand I've managed to reach level 300 and still I only have two bars of strength..

I'm 105, fly Heli's a fair bit, and have won a few air races, and taken part in a few more, mine is 1 and 3/4 blocks full, still RC pilot.  At this rate it would fill up by the time I'm level 400 or so, which I will not be getting to.

It doesn't do much though, just reduces turbulance I think, I'm still more than capable with my low stats.

Meh. Stop staring at your stats bar and it will go up quickly

Play sports (golf, tennis) and fist fights for that.

I heard the land/take off thing was patched ages ago?

I remember when it was fun to actually play games, not it's all about getting whatever there is to the max as soon as possible.

Just play the game and it'll build up naturally, use helicopters and planes to travel through the the map rather than cars and do some air races

Flying skill isnt important but if you wantto max it you have to just fly about in any plane and just fly under bridges etc.

Its mainy affected by speed and movement the faster you fly (the more distance you cover) the faster it levels. Landing does give a slight bonus (used to be more) and under the bridge and knifing also helps.

I maxed all my stats, including Lung Capacity but not my flying.
As long I been playing my character since launch, I haven't built up my flying stat bar, but imma try that take off and landing trick and see if that works.

OP get a plane preferrably a jet, just take off, and land for about 2.5 hours depending on where your stat bar is. Make sure when you land you come to a complete stop, this is the fastest way of doing it. If you're doing it in a helicopter it will take a week. Do this also in an invite only lobby so no one bothers you.

Yea. I often take plan but I still have around 1 or 2 bars left to be filled.

But I don't wonder why considering I fly like a terrorist.

Just get a helicopter put a rubber band around the trigger and leave it over night boom  instant maxed flying.

It'll definitely seem longer the more you pay attention to it.

Just like looking at the clock- if you stare at it for a minute, that minute seems like ages. But when you preoccupy yourself with something else, that minute will just fly by.

Same idea with your stats really- over time, they'll come naturally. Grinding will just make the ordeal seem strenuous and elongated.

Hope I helped! :-)

next thing you know, people are going to be complaining that their mental "skill" is taking long to level up.

Any competent pilot can fly just fine in this game regardless of what his/her flying statistic is.

Even the useless stealth stat is easier to level up. I got it to 80% just by doing the toolbox glitch a while back

Driving is the easiest, just go full speed weaving in and out of oncoming traffic on any of the highways.

Just play normally.. I'm apparently an ace but can't shoot for toffee and hit pylons no end of times. If theres a mission requiring dog fighting then dont look in my direction despite the maxed out stat.. I enjoyed flying under bridges, through tight gaps, upside down and landing in obscure places. Trying to grind up ranks sounds like hell so just enjoy it and get a few friends to do a follow the leader and mess about (landing a titan in the train tunnel so the wings break off - without exploding) after a few hours you'll be there..
