No, you're wrong on that one. If you search through GTA 3's files you see the name Claude. Claude said that his surname may or may not be Speed. So even if they are different entities, the III counterpart was not by any means meant to be nameless.

The likely hood of it being the same character is high, but the bigger factor regardless is the era system.

I stand corrected, then...

I still don't like to think that Claude Speed from GTA 2 is Claude from III, though. GTA 2 takes place in the future, like 2020 or something and III was modern for it's time, at 2001. That's almost a 20 year difference from GTA 2 to III, but it's forgivable. However, when you take into account that SA took place in 1992, then that spans like 30 years and that's my problem with Claude being the same person in 2 and III - he would be too young in III or too old in 2. But his age is never specified anyway, so maybe he is 50 years old or something in GTA 2, doesn't really matter i guess. I just don't like to think they're the same... Either way, as you said, the 'Eras' kinda f*ck with this entire ordeal anyway.

And this is why Rockstar never makes direct sequels (meaning continuing where the last game stopped) because after the antagonist is killed, there is little to no more reason to continue a protagonist's story. And that is why, my children, we never get to play as the same protagonist for more than one game.

Unless they can introduce a new Antagonist who fits into the storyline.

The seeds are there if they want to build off of them. During the Casing the Jewel Store mission as Michael and Lester are going to the car and discussing who they could use for the Crew, Lester mentions he's been "working with someone, but he's too Unstable". Maybe Lester's other partner is a combination of Michael and Trevor, gets angry/jealous about not being brought in on the Big Score and goes after Michael, Trevor and Franklin in a Grand Conspiracy.

Also it's mentioned Solomon Richards and his Son have a bad relationship. Maybe the Son bumps off Solomon and Black Balls Michael from Vinewood.

Martin Madrazo is still around, with the calls and emails Patricia sends to Trevor there's fodder to reignite a feud there.

Simeon Yetarian could be revealed to have ties to the Armenian Mafia and could come after Franklin. The Lost MC could declare War on Trevor.

Don Percival could decide the crew owes him a few favors after the trouble they caused for Merryweather.

Combined with Michaels F'd up family life, Trevor's Psychotic behavior and Franklin's ties to professional idiot Lamar Davis there are a lot of ways for them to do a continuation of the story.

Maybe something like....

I have a few ideas that can go with that, i hope that Rockstar will read this

It's likely they already have a DLC in the making and aren't going to grab back the voice actors and other videogame motion-capture equipment because of one comment someone made on a big forum.

We can all agree C is canon

That's where you're wrong. Until Rockstar releases concrete evidence (other than their overly ambiguous DLC statement) there is no canon ending.

That's just the only ending that makes a bit of sense.

They add a sprawling and immersive new storyline that revolves around getting Micheal's yacht back.

I would pay $20 for that. GIVE ME THE DAMN YACHT!!

There's no need for the 3 to do anything, they're rich enough already. They would have to have their money taken away, maybe put in prison. Seeing how depressing things can be in games now, lamar gets killed, maybe tracey or jimmy too. Maybe someone tortures lester, michael gets his lesters finger in the post, lester tells who ever the torturer may be a few things. I dunno, i haven't thought about it, much.

A few people seem to be waiting for Alien DLC, I had an idea yesterday that would be perfect for a GTA game.

A GTA Spoof of the Cult classic movie "They Live" with Trevor as the protagonist, playing the lead role that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper played in the movie. Trevor is the perfect choice pull this off, his insane personality would make it over the top hilarious.

For those unfamiliar with this movie

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/They_Live

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096256/

Instead of the Sunglasses routine, maybe have Trevor get messed up on on a bad batch of drugs and he gains the ability to see the truth about the Alien invasion.

Well, Martin Madrazo, Don Percival, and Dave Norton are loose ends that haven't been adequately dealt with yet.

(and of course the great alien lord Zaphos)

Holy f*ck, that is freakin awesome! This is the first DLC story idea I actually liked! It makes perfect sense and fits with their character, and it would feel like "Romans Sorrow" from GTA IV but 10x more awesome.

To add to that Idea, maybe the people conspiring against the trio could be past crew members back in North Yankton, I mean I doubt that Brad was the only crew member they worked with. And the reason they might be after Michael and the gang is because along with getting Brad killed and send Trevor into hiding, Michael also made a list of past crew members and gave it to the FIB but they escaped before they could get caught. And when the trio did the Big Score, it tipped them off that Michael is still alive. IDK if this would fit with your scenario but that's just my contribution. Maybe later in the storyline, they would buy and run the new casino and maybe even buy the mile high club then its finished.

the only reason why they can go against the grain on this one is. the merryweather boss is still alive and also triad revenge? i thought the boss we killed worked for guys in hong kong

Martin can live.(I like him)

I'd pay to kill Dave though. He's an ass.
