This song is for GTA III, for example.

I would leave GTA III's soundtrack as it is but if I had to add one song, it would be this for Game FM

I love the soundtrack from GTA III, there would be no point wanting to change it.
I agree. Changing it would suck.

Back to the Streets is kinda fitting.

Got any more? I might actually make a Vice City radio station in that time period...
So I ain't the only one who actually likes that song. DARUDE - SANDSTORM, nigguh!
I enjoy that joke, but mostly because of how angry it makes some people. For such a harmless, somewhat enjoyable tune it can cause a lot of chaos.
I like it, but it's annoying when it fills entire comment sections.
Darude - Sandstorm
Putting that song in the custom radio station in the PC version makes a lot of the missions seem much more insane when it kicks on.
I always liked Sandstorm by Darude... I think the first time I heard it was 2003ish... then someone put a midi version in their game back in 2005 and I was hooked...
Here is a good song fit for GTA III... Kudos if you remember this
heres a hint... Nickelodeon early 2000s

Hubba Bubba Double Bubble post
Heres my idea of a Pop station in GTA III
- Days go by - Dirty Vegas (2001)
- Lovefool - The Cardigans (1996)
- Kiss Me - Sixpence none the richer (1997)
- The Sign - Ace of Base (1993)
- Believe - Cher (1998)
- Vogue - Madonna (1990)
- Bitch - Meredith Brooks (1997)

Not a late bump I think...
Ideal for Game Radio.

What could be changed was Rise FM. I really disliked that station, even though I kinda like Trance... it was some of the worst choices for that genre. It could've featured more European Trance, check out some musicians like Emperor, Michael Baur, Sunbeam etc.
Another thing, a station playing true Techno choons like The Fix FM from GTA1 would be perfect. I dunno why, but I have a nasty feeling such station was featured in the Alpha/BETA of III.

If GTA III had actual music from its time period, this would've been a disaster. I imagine a lot of fake pop, a lot of boy bands, a lot of girl bands, and a lot of nü-metal. I honestly can't tell which would've been the worse - Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls or some band like Limb Bizkit
Well, at least rap wasn't dead just yet in 2001.

(This song's instrumental was used for Game Radio's intro, but including the full song wouldn't hurt)

I actually added that tune to my update to Game Radio
Posted 05 August 2015 - 10:45 PM
I would add a whole new rock radio station, it would play songs from '99/'00/'01.
System Of A Down-Aerials
Queens Of The Stone Age-The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret
Rock wasn't all garbage in 2000's time frame. But I would drop Limp Bizkit, Korn or Linkin Park for some realism hehe.

Sorry for the bump, I just had to:
DJ: Unknown, someone who deeply modulates his/her voice. Apparently has ties to the Yakuza. Generally isn't fond of Liberty City.
Location: Newport, Staunton Island
Motto: Because Rise FM wasn't melodic enough.
Genre: Techno, House, Electronic, Trance
Zombie Nation - Kernkraft 400 (1998)
Pepe Bradock - Deep Burnt (1999)
Reese - Just Want Another Chance (1989)
Darude - Sandstorm (1999)
Da Hool - Meet Her at Love Parade (1997)
Gate - Iron Eden (1998)
Members of Mayday - Sonic Empire (1997)
Love Inc. - Respect (1994)
Bizarre Inc. feat. Angie Brown - Took My Love (1993)
The Chemical Brothers - Hey Boy, Hey Girl (1999)
The Prodigy - Full Throttle (1993)

Actually the music on GTA III is very good, IMO. But I liked listen some Eminem 1999-2000 songs in the game. Something like The Real Slim Shady, etc.
