Imagine that you are only allowed to play nothing else but either GTA V or Skyrim for a year. Which would you choose? I would definitely choose GTA V because it is universally acclaimed and it's the most expensive game ever made and, therefore, its voice acting and world is excellent. It made 7 Guinness records and won the most awards and the game itselfs is just BEST and AWESOME!!! Skyrim in the other hand is just nothing if we compare it with GTA V. Skyrim is just so repetitive because of its dungeons so it loses in every aspects to GTA V which is the best game ever!!

So what's your opinion? I'm really looking forward to see how GTA V beats Skyrim so badly in this topic's poll :)

I never played TES Games and never will cus i never liked or understood the RPG nature of those games...and if i was to choose,it obviously V,an Openworld/Sandbox,Action-Adventure,Crime Game which is 100x better and realistic than a fantasy RPG...

Exactly.

Skyrim isn't my type of game.

Skyrim. Nearly-endless content to discover. It can definitely get repetitive though.

And what kind of reason is "it's the most expensive game ever made" for choosing GTA V? Or the fact that it had 7 world records?

2.5 years since release and I still haven't played Skyrim properly so I can easily last without it for another year-two.

ot: i enjoy both very much

skyrim

pros

lots of content (even though its really repetitive go to this village talk to this guy go in to this cave to kill this guy and get something)

a big beautiful map

lots of creative things

many ways for combat

cons

awkward combat

traveling on a horse is horrible

terrible a.i (stupid lydia)

gta 5

pros

big and beautiful world

great gameplay

great missions

online

cons

short story

car physics was better in gta 4.

im going to have to say gta 5 skyrims awkward combat is a big turn off to me and i find game play very important

Most likely Skyrim as of now because it can be modded and never really end, plus there are hours and hours of more stuff to do than GTA V, however as soon as GTA V hits PC the I will only play that game for a year haha

These two are some of my favorite franchises as well with GTA being my absolute favorite one but I don't see the point of this poll since there is literally nothing to compare in these two games, it all comes down to what you prefer and this is very subjective. That, and the fact that this forum is dedicated to GTA V, asking this here is pretty damn biased and one sided towards GTA V and those that hate the game will vote just about anything over GTA V.

I can't pick. Skyrim has an amazing story and side missions that feel more than fetch missions. Countless creatures and people to kill. My only problem with it being that everything you hit with a sword or ax sounds like you're hitting a rock.

GTA 5 on the other hand is both serious and funny, lots of things to do and you can have fun online. Tho when you smash into signs or your car rolls it sounds like someone playing with sheet metal

Skyrim has twice the content of GTA V. Roleplaying is pretty easy and fun if you're into that sort of stuff.

Mods on PC will give you thousands of hours of content for free. The only downside is that Skyrim is so unstable.

Despite it being unstable on PC, my vote still goes to Skyrim for many many reasons.

Skyrim on PC with mods is infinitely more replayable than GTA V. I've spent hundreds upon hundreds of hours in Skyrim - 300 with my first character on PS3 before I event got to the PC version a couple of years later!

I love both games. Id say skyrim has a lot of replay value, but when considering online, gta takes the cake.

Here are more reasons why GTA V is way better than Skyrim. First at all, GTA V is the game which you can play after the work or school when you are tired. You can relax with it easily. Skyrim on the other hand requires more attention so it is harder relax and, therefore, it is kind of hc. Also, the story is more epic and the main characters are better in GTA V. You have three excellent main characters whom you can relate to. In Skyrim you just have one character who doesn't even have his/her own sound and feelings you can't relate to him/her.

And what kind of reason is "it's the most expensive game ever made" for choosing GTA V? Or the fact that it had 7 world records?

Well the more money it simply means more quality. GTA V has 7 world records and Skyrim has 0. GTA V is also the best selling game ever (not just game but also entertainment!), which means that people buy it because it is so perfect. No game will sell so much if it is bad. Moreover, GTA V surpassed 1,000,000,000$ in three days and Skyrim surpassed  450,000,000$ in seven days, which mean GTA V is at least 5x better than Skyrim.

In addition, there are no cars, strip clubs or guns in Skyrim which is kind of meh. In Skyrim you just hunt dragons that is kind of childish since dragons are from fairy tales. GTA V on the other hand is based on modern reality so it is for more mature players.

I honestly didn't expect to see how Skyrim got so many votes. Either there were a lot more Skyrim fanboys than I expected or trolls who just want to distort the results so everyone please LISTEN TO me: Don't worry about the results because they are definitely fake! YES I know that GTA V should have at least 90% of votes

Reinstalling Skyrim means reinstalling mods.

Reinstalling mods means wasting a f*ckload of time tracking them down all over again .

Also, Skyrim got pretty old anyway. No amount of player-created content is going to change that, as good as it may be.

V, without a single doubt in my mind.
