The last song on Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music. It's meant to loop infinitely, but there's a version on Youtube that lasts for 4 hours. I managed to get through 30 minutes of it when I was bored one day.

I can only recall a few particularly long tracks off the top of my head.  I think the longest I've listened to is Voodoo Chile (not to be confused with Voodoo Child (Slight Return)) by The Jimi Hendrix Experience off the Electric Ladyland album.  It's over 14 minutes.

I know that by the clock this doesn't rate, but go ahead, click "play" and realize it's going to be the longest two minu... jesus, I don't know how long it even went on. Don't make me look.

This defies space-time. She is the Third Stage Guild Navigator of modern television programming.

Seriously, I've listened to many 20-30 minute long songs that seem to pass quicker than this did.

Other than the awful chorus moments, I don't actually hate that. Then again, i like middle-eastern music. I assume that's Persian music, specifically, but I don't actually know.

So yeah, it's not good but it's still better than 2m43s of that TV family.

A bit difficult to say what the longest song I've listened to is, but American Pie by Don McLean is the longest song I've heard played on the radio, being about 8 minutes and 30 seconds in length.

I was listening to an ablum by The Melvins, or maybe it was one of their solo records... anyway, the whole album was like 3 tracks, and most of it was one song. I can't remember the name of it, but it went on a bit. A lot of their regular stuff is in the 13-14 minute mark too.

Speaking of the Melvins, Buzz is in Mike Patton's band "Fantômas" and they had a one-track album called "Delìrivm Còrdia" which is 1 hour 14 mins.  The last twenty minutes are just the sound of the end of a record, left running on a turntable, before it scratches off.

Also in the "hard to listen to, if you have time time" category is John Zorn band "Naked City" with their two disc "black box" CD set.  CD1 is "Torture Garden" which is 42 songs, ranging from 10 seconds to 1 minute 14 in length.  CD2 is more in line with the spirit of this thread, "Leng Tch'e" is a 31 minute 38 seconds piece by the same ensemble, that builds gradually, literally tortures you in the middle for a good 15 minutes, then slowly dismantles itself.

Both albums/songs are really good for getting party guests to leave.

Jean Michel Jarres' Waiting For Cousteau, a sweet piece of music that pictures a deep sea scuba dive on a reef (If you know who Costeau refers to, it makes perfect sense).  46:55 of trance, but Calypso is the best track off the album.
