Already mentioned in this topic is Kraftwerk's Autobahn. The first time I listened to it when my dad put it on, I was completely surprised by how long it is. It said 10 minutes in, I was like, woah, that's a long song. And then it went to 22 minutes! Wow!

But the longest piece I've listened to is Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians. Beautiful bit of minimalist music.

Didn't listen the whole 10 hours. Maybe 20-30 mins. It's still a catchy tune.:)

The longest songs i have listened to are probably songs from Acid Mother Temple, which are around an hour long give or take. They tend to get ridiculous at around 30 - 40 minutes in and just turn into some head f*ckery but yeah, the time flies by if you're tripping.

Global Communication - 14:31

That has to be one of them for me too. There's also a few early 2000's trance songs that delve into the 10-15 minute mark easily.

Edit: Actually, a 90's techno remix. System 7 - Alpha Waves (Plastikman's Acid House Remix) is 20 minutes.

I know there's longer songs out there, but this is probably the longest one that I actually know. Crazy amount of lyrics too...

I'm not sure if it's the longest I've listened to, though I know it's well up there, but I've always liked X Japan's "Art of life" album.

It's all one song and it's 29 minutes long.

This one?

Anyway yeah, Shine On, Echoes, Atom Heart Mother and the core three tracks on Animals make up some of the longest songs I've listened to. Pink Floyd were great at making long tunes that hold your attention throughout.

Sleep's Dopesmoker clocks in at a little over an hour, and I listen to that quite a lot

But then there's Sabazius. Over 11 hours. I won't be upset if you pussy out and skip the first hour, which is nothing but feedback. Have fun in there.

Epic Sax guy.

This one you COULD listen to for 10 hours it's just that good.

For srs though this is probably the longest VG music I've ever heard.  And it's every bit as epic as the first time.

This, for me too.

Moonsorrow's "Viides Luku – Hävitetty" gets a play at least once a week. That's two tracks, 30:10 and 26:19 respectively.

The ambient track at the beginning of the second disk of Alec Empire's "Intelligence and Sacrifice" is ~30 minutes long too.

The live version of A Forest by The Cure springs to mind, I think that comes in at 14 minutes. The longest song in my music library (currently) is 16 Is A Lucky Number Now by El-P, at 18:26.

Does it count if you're asleep for most of it? (tbh, that's the point of this particular album)

I forgot Come Down To Us by Burial, and Paradise Circus by Burial/Massive attack. There's probably a bunch of others I'm forgetting, Halcyon by Orbital was pretty long wasn't it? Loads of 90's drum and bass/techno are also pretty long.
