They should have added a 80s Pop/Ballad station

The game is set in the early 90s.

As if people suddenly stopped listening to 80s songs then. They were still a thing.

I guess you're kinda right. After all, even though the two years after 1990 were much closer to the 90s culture, especially 1992, the 80s culture didn't completely die out until about at least 1993, the year Bill Clinton became president.

I'm definitely missing Nirvana in SA :/ There should be atleast one song in the radio. They were big in 1992 .

I wonder if it was too expensive to put a Nirvana song into a game or maybe other problems?

More 2pac would be okay, but I think we should be happy to have this one song because his labels "Amaru / Interscope" are not too kind to release anything.

AC/DC, definetly, in 1992 (if i am not mistaken) their album, thunderstruck was released, and it was a huge hit, so It would be logical for it to be there, at least Thunderstruck.

The Game appears to be 1992 Summer, So music that is released latter than that would not be appropriate to the game.

Didn't Stone Temple Pilot's song "Plush" come out in 1993? That was still in the game. Also, "Dre Day" and "Nuthin But a 'G' Thang" were in the game and those songs are both off of Dre's CD The Chronic, which was released in December 1992.

Not really a song but, Flash FM instead of K-DST and Fever 105 instead of Playback FM

Wut :O
K-DST is awesome :miranda:

And isn't Bounce FM essentially an SA version of Fever 105?

Don't know about songs, but there are many bands that could've fitted well into the game. Nirvana, Skid Row, Ugly Kid Joe, Metallica, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Van Heln, and so many others that could've ended on either Radio X or K-DST. If I were to post a list of songs, it would've been a really long one. Would've been cool to hear The Doors' "L.A. Woman" on K-DST.

I'm really glad that so many of my favorite bands/artist can be heard on Radio X and K-DST. Almost everyone on these stations is a favorite of mine... :)

Quite a few of these were by artists who were already featured in the game, but eh, I still think they would have fit San Andreas really well.

Radio Los Santos:

- 2Pac - "If My Homie Calls"

- Compton's Most Wanted - "Growin' Up in the Hood"

- DJ Quik - "Jus Lyke Compton"

- E-40 - "Drought Season"

- Eazy-E - "Boyz-N-the-Hood (Remix)"

- Ice Cube - "The Ni**a Ya Love to Hate"

- Ice-T - "New Jack Hustler" (Still think it's so weird that Ice-T plays Madd Dogg, yet none of his music is in the game)

- N.W.A. - "f*ck tha Police"

- Paris - "The Dayz of Old"

- Paris - "Thinka 'Bout It"

- Pharcyde - "Soul Flower (Remix)"

- Scarface - "Mr. Scarface" (yeah, 'Face is technically Southern rap (Texas), but that didn't stop "Mind Playin' Tricks on Me" from appearing in V)

- Spice 1 - "187 Proof" (because I'm still pissed over this not making the cut for GTA V, dammit!)

- Tairrie B. - "Murder She Wrote"

- Tweedy Bird Loc - "187 Ride By"

- Yo-Yo - "Mama Don't Take No Mess"

Playback FM:

- A Tribe Called Quest - "Can I Kick It?"

- Big Daddy Kane - "Ain't No Half-Steppin'"

- Boogie Down Productions - "Drug Dealer"

- DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince - "Summertime"

- Eric B. and Rakim - "My Melody"

- Gang Starr - "Execution of a Chump (No More Mr. Nice Guy, Part 2)"

- LL Cool J - "The Boomin' System"

- MC Lyte - "Poor Georgie"

- Monie Love - "It's a Shame (My Sister)"

- Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth - "T.R.O.Y. (They Reminisce Over You)"

- Redman - "Time 4 Sum Aksion"

CSR 103.9 :

- Barry White - "Sho' You Right"

- Bobby Brown - "Every Little Step"

- Christopher Williams - "I'm Dreamin'"

- Color Me Badd - "I Wanna Sex You Up"

- Janet Jackson and Luther Vandross - "The Best Things in Life Are Free"

- Jodeci - "Come and Talk To Me"

- Joey Diggs - "Your Love Keeps Working on Me"

- Keith Sweat - "I Want Her"

- Mary J. Blige - "You Remind Me"

- Michael Jackson - "Remember the Time"

- New Edition - "If It Isn't Love"

- Renee Diggs and Phil Perry - "All My Love"

- Soul II Soul - "Back To Life (However Do You Want Me)"

- TLC - "Ain't Too Proud to Beg"

- Today - "Why You Gettin' Funky on Me?"

- Tony! Toni! Tone! - "Whatever You Want"

- Whitney Houston - "I'm Your Baby Tonight"

Bounce FM:

- Cameo - "Single Life"

- The Commodores - "Lady (You Bring Me Up)"

- Dennis Edwards - "Don't Look Any Further"

- Delegation - "Oh Honey"

- Freddy Jackson - "Jam Tonight"

- The Isley Brothers - "That Lady"

- Jocelyn Brown - "Somebody Else's Guy"

- Junior - "Mama Used to Say"

- Lonnie Liston Smith - "Bridge Through Time"

- Norman Connors - "You Are My Starship"

- Patrice Rushen - "Forget Me Nots"

- Stevie Wonder - "Part Time Lover"

KDST:

- AC/DC - "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap"

- The Cars - "Good Times Roll"

- Iggy Pop - "The Passenger"

- Judas Priest - "Breaking the Law"

- Yes - "Siberian Khatru"

What about Radio X? And I don't really think Bounce FM and K-DST need any more songs since they're mostly classical music.

Also, I agree about Ice-T. It's surprising that not one of his songs are on RLS considering he's the Godfather of gangsta rap. (him and Eazy)

Couldn't really think of any *shrugs* . Though now that I think of it, I'd definitely add Nirvana (maybe "Come As You Are").

Since you're probably not familiar with early 90s alternative rock, I'll refresh your memory.

Radio X:

Nirvana - Come As You Are

Pearl Jam - Jeremy

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under the Bridge

Metallica - Enter Sandman

Primus - Jerry Was a Racecar Driver

R.E.M. - Losing My Religion

Smashing Pumpkins - Siva

Uh, not really. The band En Vogue is from Oakland, and Soul II Soul aren't even from the U.S.A.

There are other stations that do that too, like how Playback FM says they play Old-School hip-hop, or West Coast Classics playing the Geto Boys, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and The Lady Of Rage (I know this isn't GTA V).

I'm gonna mention this again but edited.

The DJ says that the music is supposed to be east coast artists

Still, TLC and Mary J. Blige would be a great addition to the station. It's especially surprising that TLC wasn't included in the station since they were pretty big in the 90s.

TLC are from Virginia (I think) so I would understand if they would put them on there, but I still don't understand why they didn't, would've gone good, Mary J. Blige, I would get that because she's from New York (But I would dislike that, because I don't like her music). If CSR wasn't meant to be east coast, then I would've like to see a Tevin Campbell song on there.

TLC are actually from Atlanta, and they were pretty big during the new jack swing era of the early 90s. And I agree that a Tevin Campbell song would've been a great addition for the station.
