[color=green]I would really like to see TLAD be made into a movie.Set before Billy gets sent to rehab, prior to the game, then the events of the game, and after TLAD before V.

I've read an article where they said they were yet to be convinced making a movie was really worth it. Their reasoning is that their stories don't differentiate that much from others movies out there. Good guy wins, bad guy dies. I'd like it too, though.

Maybe television adaption. The key to that is diverse and deep characters, and that was TLaD's specialty.
Too bad that whine-fest Sons of Anarchy stole the genre.

I remember watching an interview Lazlow did with a radio show and that was one of the questions, like "why don't you make a GTA movie?" And he said that they've been approached by different studios to make a GTA movie but they turned the offers down because the key fundamental of GTA is doing what you want as far as the gameplay goes, so one guy sitting in the theater will be yelling out "RUN OVER THE PEDESTRIANS AND HONK YOUR HORN VIGOROUSLY" while some guy on the other side of the theater will be yelling out "BE SURE TO STOP AT ALL THE RED LIGHTS AND CHECK YOUR MIRRORS"

That and it would just be your general crime movie with "GTA" slapped on it.

Besides, GTA is just a small embodiment of lots of crime movies. There really is nothing that defines GTA as a series other than robbery and violence. I don't think that's enough to really name a general movie "Grand Theft Auto."
Adapting TLaD or Niko's story is different, though. However, to really combine all their long experiences into a brief, flowing movie wouldn't really work. Like I said, with some filler and diversity, it might work for television.

I daydreamed about TLaD being a movie before.

Anyway if it was a movie, who would you cast as actors?

Johnny would be played by Joe Piscopo, that's a start
