You can actually use cheats to get 100%, it just doesn't feel right when completing the game with cheats.

Assuming just LCS/VCS?  Cuz for a FACT if you cheat in III, VC, and SA you are locked out of 100% and only can reach 99.8% or something like that...

I don't think that this is true, at least not in San Andreas. Cheats do not prevent you to beat the game to 100%. However, you have to be careful which cheats you use - some of them can mess up the save game, and in some cases it makes it impossible to get to the 100%. I'm not sure if the same can be said about GTA III and Vice City as well, though.

I have yet to play Liberty and Vice City Stories. Never played them for more than a couple of hours at max, although I had a PS2 for years and still have it actually, but it doesn't work anymore. Personally, I rarely use cheats and when I do, I don't save the game, so it doesn't affect me in any way.

In GTA III, using cheats also does not prevent you from achieving 100% - Also, GTA III's percentages do not have decimals anyway, so it wouldn't be 99.8% anyway.

Andreas - I'd certainly recommend that you play these games sometime :p

LCS and VCS also aren't locked out of 100% if cheats are used. Done that once for the lulz before getting the final few precentages.

We need someone to confirm if that happens in VC.

Well, Spuds, one of the mods for VC forum said this to me, EXACTLY what Andreas is saying...That some cheats f*ck the game up and lock you out of 100%.  I know when I was younger, I typed a cheat into VC and then forgot I did that, went for 100% (for my first time) and got to 99%.  Wouldn't let me get to 100%.  Immediately started the game over, did everything I did previously, minus typing in a code, and got to 100%.  And it says numerous locations on the web that if you use Peds have rocket launchers or peds hate you, etc, etc, will f*ck up GTA III and not allow you to reach 100%, either...

Because of such rumors, I never used one single cheat code, before, after, or during a playthrough of any of these games...I don't think they'd be fun and I don't think they are necessary as the games are easy enough, just time consuming at best...

@Andreas, I also recommend doing LCS and VCS, idk if you are a proof vehicle collector, but LCS has just as many vehicles as SA has...But because of the low amount of storage space, only 12 can be stored at the max, including in VCS.  And of the 12 stored in LCS, 2 must be bikes, and in VCS 4 must be bikes.  Damn garages are so tiny, similar to Portland's GTA III garage, but a bit bigger than that, at least, but only by a little bit.

You find LCS hard? To me it`s far the easiest GTA game ever. Only 3 missions were giving me a hard time; The vote steering, taking the peace and shoreside redemption. But after i have mastered them than it became easy.

Altough the main plot and storyline missions are prety good but i still find that this game lacks of real action, the fun meter is too low to me. The whole atmosphere lacks of real action compare to VCS.

Not to mention after you beat the storyline there are very few things that are interesting. Apart from that slash TV which is awesome, rampages and maybe avenging angels you have nothing to do. At least nothing that would amused me, at least IMO.

After i beat the storyline and i do it in 6 hours only there is nothing left to do anymore to having fun while at it. I`ve done 100% once but that was the first and the last time, that pizza and noodle delivery and that trashmaster submission were killing me.

Messed up with Cam-Pain in Android.
The shooting guys those are coming in sentinels are more disturbing than the cops.

Anybody to suggest a way?

The only thing that was hard for me was the aggressive as sh*t cops that are in this game. Is it just me or do they just want to ram you to hell a lot more then in the previous games? It also diddn't help that my first playthrough was on Android with those sh*t mobile controls and dreadful framerate that had something to do with it. It was significantly easier on PPSSPP for me.

Wait for VCS.  The Cops are even more crazy in that GTA than LCS.  LCS is nothing compared to VCS...

VCS for some reason has some incredibly insane spawn rate for Cops.  If you have even just a 2 Star Wanted Level, you'll see like 50 Cop Cars drive past you pursuing you.  You won't last long with 5 stars with the crazy FBI Road Blocks.  They tear you to shreds in seconds as well as pop all your tires when you drive past it.  They can even shoot Victor through the windshield and windows.  No other 3D Era GTA was like that...VCS Cops are one of a kind.  III, VC, SA, and LCS feel all identical to me when it comes to the Cops but VCS is a lot different...

I think in LCS you can also be shot through the windows and windshield, just like in VCS. I watched on YouTube couple of LCS videos in past and have noticed that, though it's more noticeable if you have armor, since armor bar flashes when you are hit, whereas health bar doesn't flash when hit (only flashes if health is lower than 10, as in other 3D era GTA games).

It happens in LCS, too, but in LCS you can drive for HOURS before the Police actually take as little as 20% of the Armor away.  Drive past Road Blocks in VCS over and over and within 10 minutes half of your Armor if not more can be gone...

I can't imagine 5 stars being difficult.

In III Cops are a joke.
In VC 4 stars is the most difficult level, but still a joke.
In SA 4 stars is the most difficult level. The rest is a joke.

I can't imagine much has changed in such a small amount of time.

The FBI roadblocks in this game tear you apart in seconds. The chasing agents also ram you with aggression that makes the V cops look lame.

We already had a similar discussion elsewhere, in the VCS Section...Nobody will know until they actually play the game...

I don't know about that, I'm currently playing through Vice City Stories for the first time and the cops only seem to get aggressive at 3 stars, and they seem to get out of your way at 2 stars for me. I so far had a much worse experience with Liberty City Stories.

Wait for Turn On, Tune In, Bug Out.  If you don't use a Helicopter and pick up Police Bribes the Mission is pretty crazy.  5 Star Wanted Level with FBI changing Color Cars as they come at you is funny.  Glitch in VCS which makes Blue FBI Cars, White FBI Cars, Black FBI Cars, but when you store in a Garage, they are only White, I believe.  But until you get a 5 star wanted level, you'll see what I mean...There's a big difference in how aggressive they are.  5 stars in LCS feels like 2 stars.  2 through 5 are all the same in LCS whereas 1 and 2 might be average but 3, 4, 5, 6 in VCS?  It's insane once Enforcers, FBI, and Military come after you.  So insane, that when I used to use a Rhino Tank to complete Vigilante Level 15 at the end of the game, sometimes BEFORE reaching Level 15, my Tank would catch on fire and blow up due to all the ramming from the Enforcers and FBI Washingtons.  Just wait...

Aaaand you're wrong. I cheated sh*t loads of times years ago on all 3 games and got 100% on 3 and VC.

Even cheated all through 3 on PS4 and still got 100%. Working through VC now whilst cheating.

EDIT- Can confirm, I still got 100%.

Okay so I am currently playing this game on my PS Vita but it is irritating me. First the controls suck, they are little too clunky, another thing is the cops they are so annoying and hard to get rid of especially during timed missions. Auto Aim is also a problem, always aiming on the wrong person when the enemy right in front facing me! You lose health to easily, within seconds you will be dead with only 2 guys shooting you at once,I always try to get a vest before starting a mission. Right now I am stuck on the mission Cam-Pain which is pissing me off! Please Help! I played that mission over 20 times :'(

this game could be so fun if wasn't for the mother f*cking  time limitations , screw rockstar and it's pointless tend to put time limit everywere , i just refiused to play that game after the third time limit mission , f*ck it o.O , fortunately i played that game because a friend allowed me to use his copy , so i could avoid to waste my money for this nightmare , to think that there isn't even a pc version of this game , what a shame , for a pc version , the time-limit nightmare could be solved

Aiming is the worst port I believe, especially on the Android port. Shooting with the Rocket Launcher in False Idols and manual aiming from the boat in Caught in the Act are just too tough even on a Nexus 6. I've been stuck on those missions for ages now.

I know people are different 'n' all but LCS is usually the easiest when people talk about it (bite-size missions in length, complexity and difficulty). A few missions could catch you out on the first try (Portland Chainsaw Masquerade, L.C.  Confidential's small time frame) but VCS was the toughest of the PSP games.

PPSSPP is a PSP emulator which has the power to run PSP games on PC. Even tweak its graphics too. Why buy a PSP when you have this.

As much as I love playing LCS on PSP, I did try it with my own ISO on PPSSPP and using a controller felt sweet.

The fact that you've play on a console with a small screen and Touchscreen when it comes to iOS and Android makes it even more difficult.

VCS or LCS, both are tough when it comes to playing on a console with small screens or touchscreen. I never had a PS2 or PSP, so the only versions I've played are the Android ports. And I believe that using a touchscreen is so much more tough.

I mean for a 3D era game, LCS is probably one of the most difficult ones. It took me a while to beat that one mission where you had to drive that one guy's car around with the remote control and kill his fellow gang members with it to make it look like he was doing it.

Which was weird since at any time he could've bailed out of the car but whatever.

Typically it is and that is why I like having the Mobile Ports along with everything on PS2/3 for Console and with a Controller.  I can do anything on Mobile which I can do on Console, but slower and may need to reload a couple more times here and there to replicate what I can do on PS2/3 first try.  And like you said, it's all due to Touch Screen Controls and them being more tricky.  I like switching up the Platforms for different perspective and the challenge, though.

I know people are different 'n' all but LCS is usually the easiest when people talk about it (bite-size missions in length, complexity and difficulty).

I am the same way.  I find LCS the easiest.  It could be due to the fact I've done it 14 total times (13 on PS2 and 1 on iOS) and practice makes perfect, but it's so easy that I can straight up speedrun the game with very little Safehouse Visits in my Stats and just blow through all Missions, first try, and without failing them.  It helps that I have the 48% Starter Save done as well since I have the M60 in the beginning from doing all the Rampages and all the Guns/Ammo I need.  M60 is one shot kills and blowing everyone away is simple...

that one mission where you had to drive that one guy's car around with the remote control and kill his fellow gang members

Taking the Peace.  It's only hard since it's not "in sync" for when you turn.  You turn the Sindacco Argento, but the game doesn't make it turn for another second.  It's delayed and makes it very annoying.  I'd go as far as saying it's the hardest Story Mission in LCS, HOWEVER, it's ONE Mission.  There is an instance like this in all GTA's where Rockstar throws in a Mission that takes a handful of reloads to finally pass it.  I don't really look at one Mission and then say the game is hard, though.  There's gotta be a struggle through much more than that and nothing comes to mind in LCS other than Taking the Peace and perhaps the RC Race Side Missions (Toyz Vans).

I dunno, I mean there's several other missions that take a handful of retries. The one with the campaign vans where you have to win areas for Donald Love and blow up other vans, and the Shoreside Redemption one was pretty hard too. But the hardest one for me was the one where you have to kill the guy at the casino was probably one of the hardest for me because of the long drive there and no checkpoints, meaning that despite all that sh*t I had to go through, if you die there at the casino, you have to do everything again.

But yea, as far as missions go, LCS probably had the hardest ones of the III era.

I always felt like LCS was the game where they expected you to know sh*t right away and to have already played a GTA game, so the learning curve goes from 0 to 60 in a couple of missions, this is the game where there's a scripted 4 Star Wanted Level in like the 3rd or 4th mission.

this is the game where there's a scripted 4 Star Wanted Level in like the 3rd or 4th mission.

...And with a Pay and Spray very close by.  Or for the people who like to keep the Pay and Spray Visits Stat to a minimum, Police Bribes close by.  I guess none of these things phase me since I've done the SA Starter Save and all the tasks you do in the beginning, you're wanted with a 4 star wanted level and then after finishing said tasks in San Fierro, Las Venturas, etc, etc, need to make your way back to Los Santos to save the game and lose wanted level.  In IV, you do most tasks in the beginning with a 6 star wanted level.  From doing these things and staying alive for literally hours, I find all of LCS Missions basic as f*ck.  Just like Cop Wheels in the beginning.  3 star wanted level, but it's nothing.  Or Contra-Banned.  It's nothing.  You leave the Docks and a Police Bribe is right in front of you basically.  The Mission in the beginning you're talking about is Smash and Grab, lol...

You just proved what Ash said though - you are not new to GTA series and thus could deal with those with ease. For someone who started with LCS it could be a bit overwhelming.

If you played one out of five 3D Era GTA's extensively, then what is different in the next in terms of Police and how they behave, spawn, etc?  They are all the same in III, VC, SA, LCS, and VCS.  Only minor difference is in VCS, where the Cop Spawn Rate is much quicker and more of them.  The FBI Roadblocks in VCS are surely a force to get past, but other than these minor differences in VCS, the Cops are the exact same in all the GTA's for the 3D Era.  So like I said, if you played one of the five, you have the experience with the Cops already and I am sure people saying it's "hard" played any one of the five 3D Era GTA's before picking up LCS.  sh*t..I didn't even get LCS or VCS until April 2014 and when I did, it still felt run-of-the-mill since I've played III, VC, and SA before it.  Play one?  Then you can play the other.  They are all the same in terms of the Police.  Police only changed drastically in IV, TLaD, TBoGT, CW, and V with new systems, spawn rates, ways of evasion, etc, etc...

I never played on the game of PS2/PS3, which is why it proved more tough for me. It's slower yes and looking around with the touchscreen and targeting was the trickiest thing I faced. I was not really into challenge for LCS. I downloaded it on Android as I had never played it before on an old platform. Sadly it was more tough than Vice City or GTA III.

Yeah, I don't like the camera control on Mobile.  That is probably the worst part of playing.  Running, jumping, shooting, etc. isn't too bad for me, though.  I've only been playing Mobile since May 2015, so it's not like I've been playing for years.  I started with Chinatown Wars and driving in that game is very tedious and sensitive so from going from CW to SA, then III and VC, and lastly LCS, I didn't have any issues on Mobile.  A while ago when I did LCS on Mobile, I posted my progress HERE with Photos and such.  I did the 48% Starter Save and then finished to 100%.  HERE is something, too.

It usually takes all of 6 days from 0 to 100% for LCS but with 48% complete right after Home Sweet Home, it usually only takes anywhere from 2-3 days for each Save.  One Week is the average for the lot, excluding SA, VCS, IV, and V.  But III, VC, LCS, TLaD, TBoGT, and CW are all quick and simple for me to do without issues.  The others are easy, too, but just much more sh*t to do for 100% and very time consuming stuff.  Afterall, I've been playing GTA since 2001 so there should be no excuse for things being too hard after all this time has passed and all the Saves I've done.  Honestly, it doesn't get any easier...
