Probably the same like when some ant is crushed to dead - ant's heaven (for good ones) or ant's hell.

If you've been a bad ant, you'll be continuously crushed, but that's also where all the good looking ants are, so I guess it's worth it.

Now I'm curious on what an ant has to do to be bad.

Jumping on top of an elephant is one of ant's top sins.

Your soul gets out of your gravestone and starts a new life.

For mapping purposes it's on Orion's Belt (if you book it previously) or the Pleiades (if you're a last min booking).

A lot of ants on both places waiting to take a bite on you/us.

This also kinda proofs that Suarez was a (good) ant some time ago, due to good behavior there he was sent back here again...

How do you know all this? Have you been reading Dante's Divine Comedy?

After thinking about it for a while, I'm almost sure nothing happens after death. That's not scary in my opinion, because you'd experience none of it. It'll be fantastic to shed these physical and chemical barriers and truly become nothing. I feel really happy about it now. :)

You go to either Heaven or Hell. This earthly body will decompose in the ground. But your spirit will continue, whether in eternal joy with being Jesus Christ & God and all Christians from around the world.. OR you'll suffer for eternity in hell. Simple as that, OP.

This exactly.

Do you mean reincarnation or just eternal life?

I thought of enternal life when I was reading that, but reincarnation should be interesting. I always wanted to see what it was like being a tomato. Not really, but still, I'd much rather die and go to heaven.

I believe animals can be reincarnated but humans can't, once we die that's it, game over.

What's the difference? Humans are animals when you think about it

Being a tomato would be a blast, but it would be hard to catchup with the other vegetables

Lots of people saying you would be in a never ending sleep are dumb. If you're sleeping, how would you know you are dead? Exactly! You won't!

Exactly. Lots of those lots of people are comparing the lack of feeling of being dead to the lack of feeling when you're asleep. It's no more dumb or intelligent than any other idea anyone can come up with for what death feels like.

I do hope I become a spirit and can go anywhere in the universe or on Earth if I want to. It would be nice to be with the ones you loved during life but to be honest who really knows?

It can be daunting to ponder on but don't bother with it, we may be young now and full of energy and enjoying life, doing what we love (or maybe not), as life progresses and you age, your mind also ages too. You will witness the passing of loved ones such as relatives and friends, and also notice well known people such as those in the media who are from this era pass away and will gradually come to terms with what you must eventually have to face, until the time when you literally become so old and carefree (tired, if you must) you will not actually worry about it too much I guess and hopefully pass away in peace.

You could on the other hand get dementia and be none the wiser I guess.

Life is a long battle with a lot of highs and lows, just bear with it, its' like the ultimate test of tests that anyone or anything has to endure, just be happy to live, and do stop worrying, since when you die you will not have the energy left to (literally), so don't waste your life being scared of the inevitable, be thankful you have a life at all, and do a lot of things that you want to, go places, see the world, you might even meet that special someone out there, so when you do get old you don't have to regret what you could have done when you had the chance.

The part of death that scares me isn't so much what happens when we die, but leaving family & friends behind and never seeing them ever again.

I don't know what happens, but I know for certain everyone I know and/or love will be left behind and that's what scares me about death more than anything.

I think people who specifically believe in Heaven or Hell have a very simplified and ultimately short sighted view of what a potential afterlife could be.

Also where are the people who used to believe in Valhalla? Did that suddenly go defunct?

The truth is none of us know for sure. And no one ever will. Because dead people can't come back to tell us. Anyone claiming they do know (holy books or not) is a charlaton.

We can of course speculate. But to speak as if you have facts regarding an afterlife is redundant.

That's my take on it.

Eternal life would be best thing possible.
I'm not really interested in reincarnation (no offense to its believers and snoop dogg). Just think of being reincarnated as a rat or a potato.

Either the "soul" continues to live by a new beginning ( some form that visibly exists ), or likely to be punished to suffer pain, in hell ( sins > )

We go blank, as others have said. It's only logical to me. It's like when you have a "dreamless" night or when you pass out or when you take a nap. It seems like it lasted a second, but you can't remember a second of it. Death is exactly that, except you never wake up and you're oblivious to that fact.

I'd like for reincarnation to be real, for us to not remember who we were and to start over in someone new. The whole "eternal life" and heaven thing just seems a bit too farfetched to me. It's kind of morbid to constantly imagine never interacting with a human being on Earth again, let alone people you know and love, so I try to believe in something, but my gut tells me it's all pointless to do so.

I belive in heaven, but not in hell.
I think both heaven and hell are just metaphores, and of course I believe in God.
For me, death is kind of like a dream, and the real heaven is a good dream, an state of eternal rest for your soul. Do I care what other people say or think? No, and I don't care about everyone else believe. Maybe we're all right, maybe we're all wrong, who can tell? Zombies can't talk.

I have spent moments dead after a massive heart attack when I was 35. I believe I experienced the state of death.

There is nothing. No god. No hell. We are dust and darkness. Life is our gift and heaven is a myth.

@Cletus - Heart attack at 35? Wow that's almost thread's worthy...

I'll probably have one soon, 41 with some lousy habits since 13/14, though I don't eat almost any junk food at all, so maybe that's why "God is saving me" so far ;)

I did. Had to be hit with a defibrillator 3 times.  Genetic thing...younger brother, dad, grandfather, uncles. I just never took notice of the pattern, was physically active, weighed under 70kg... you don't need to be an overweight lazy inactive slob to have a heart attack.

It's a good idea at some point to have a heart check up.

I think once you die, you're simply gone. But I still believe in reincarnation theories. I always wonder who I was in my past life or if I am a completly new being without past and that this life could be my first one. Yeah I know, it sounds weird.
