-Always park in parking spaces

-Cars can never be dirty or heavily damaged

-The cars stored in front of safehouses must be parked neatly

-Maximum RPG ammo is a must

-Maximum health and armour is paramount

-Always check up on unique stored vehicles to ensure they haven't disappeared (e.g. Stevie's yellow Comet)

-Must always have top-tier weapons (Combat pistol, SMG, Carbine Rifle, PSG-1, Combat Shotgun, Grenades)

That's it.

Always have to jump from helicopters. Once did so at the height limit and hit a streetlight and miraculously survived.

  1. Play on free-aim and always fire in burst, i love the shooting in IV.
  2. I only use the either pistol and the Micro SMG, i rarely use any other gun. In my head, i hate the look of someone pulling a huge rifle out of nowhere. GTA IV tired alleviating this with the new switching animation, but it still annoys me.
  3. If one headlight is broken, i have to break the other one xD
  4. Only use 3 outfits - Niko's casual for the beginning of the game, a suit for when i start working for the mob and a tucked-in Modo shirt with chinos after completing the game (a sign of Niko cutting his ties)
  5. Always keep the cars given to Niko (Steve's Comet, Bernie's Infernus, Roman's Taxi before he gets the Cavalcade, etc.) in my parking spaces and never use them (fear i might lose them lol).
  6. If a song i like is on during a friend hangout or another type of 'timed' activity, i pause the game and listen to the radio via Music Volume.
  7. Just like everyone else, always top-up on ammo and armor and always take a bite on someone's hot Chihuahua meat (food vendor...)
  8. If i fail a mission, always load up last save to try again.
  9. FPS games made me reload after every kill v_v

Smash the side window on cars when ever I hijack them
When ever I go on a crime spree or rob a shop I burn the cars after it's done
When ever I see a big truck or an van or something I steal it
When doors or the hood fall off I use the health cheat or dump the car and jack another one

Never drive my nice cars (blood red Turismo, Bernie's Infernus) which is a shame because it's amazing but i don't wanna lose them.

I can't stand people acting all surprised when I elbow the window of a car I want to steal, so instead, I kick/punch the driver door a bit until the window breaks, that way no pedestrians notice (even if the alarm goes off).

Pick up any dropped money.

Keep car in pristine condition.

Must have certain cars at certain Safehouses. (Infernus at Algonquin, Blista in Broker, Huntley Sport at Playboy X's crib etc.

Change Niko's outfit daily.

Get taxi's everywhere as opposed to stealing cars.

Beating up drug dealers.

Visit The Triangle Club or Honkers every other Friday night. ;)

-My Health must be full (Damaged armor are ok, but seeing my health less than a semi-circle, really pisses me off).

-Drive as clean as possible (no dents, just scratches).

EDIT:

Another one, always smash the driver-side window whenever you got in a car.

- I've got three misc backup bikers in TLaD gang wars I like and at full buff. If they die (which is often) I reload the last save.

- Change clothes every day as Niko, mostly Russian shop clothes when working in Broker, suits and nice shirts when working in Algonquin, and slacks, leather jackets, "mob clothes" when working the Alderny missions.

I've also gone with some realism constrains as of recently.

- Only use non-concealable weapons (assault rifles, assault SMG, snipers) if found in the environment. Keep them dequipped when the shootout is over and only take them out if found again.

- Try to only carry one or two throwables

- Wait for night for certain missions, crimes, or gang wars.

- Try to use or cheat in cars Niko got throughout the story, the Comet, the Infernus. I've cheated them in if I couldn't find them after I did a mission, but if I destroyed them I let them remain destroyed.

- Hide stolen cars in alleys when ditching them.

A new OCD i've made is always using the weapon wheel. Or the "quick swap", whatever it's called. I always use that now, even if i'm on a pistol and i want my shotgun, instead of just pressing right, i press LB + down.

Whenever I play GTAIV, I gotta put on Hot 97 Beat 102.7, drive around The Bronx Bohan and reminisce.

If I see the sax guy, I have to give him money and stand there, pretending to get into it.

Always shoot at the RON gas station pumps.

And if I see a Mr. Tasty, I have to get into a 4 or 5-star chase with it.

Oh wow. You see? That's one of IV's features that I never knew about! Totally forgot about it after playing it on the PS3, since I got the PC version.

Completely off-topic here, but god, the PC version rocks! I know it's quite a bad port, but even on Medium settings you can actually play with 40 FPS with some quite nice visuals. Not bad for my old Athlon X2 5000 Deneb (2.2 GHz, OC'd to 2.6 GHz).

Man, if only i could afford a good gaming computer. Not enough space in my room for it, either. I don't care how old IV gets, one day (when i have the money and the space), i WILL get a good gaming computer and buy GTA IV again for PC... One day.

Save cars only to have them saved. I never use them otherwise.

Pretty much for every GTA.

-Spare every possible character
-Never delete any e-mails and reply every e-mail posively
-Always kill Playbox X and Derrick
-do GTA IV trinity like a movie, and I make sure some events happen on the same day (I.E. Museum Piece, Collector's Item and Not So Fast, always must happen on the same hour and day (Monday, Tuesday etc - it doesn't matter as long as it's the same day))

As soon as i unlock bohan, i go to the unfinished highway to get the deagle.

I my case, I always keep the pistol, especially if execute Darko (although I spare him 75% of the time)

Now, I do like the idea of realism (never taking out a huge weapon, only keep 1 or 2 throw able weapons), but I only do that if I wanna look badass, in normal gameplay I rarely do that, I'm not that autistic about it. :monocle:

You don't need a beast PC for running IV at medium-high though. All it needs is a dual-core and *at least* GTX 260 (which is quite old).

I always have to hang out with friends when they call me or else I feel like an asshole.

I also always park my cars neatly when arriving as destinations in IV for some reason.

Some aren't exactly in game:
- i do all mission with auto aim off
- the gps is set to blip only
- if i die/get busted i Must come off and go back on (i don't restart from the menu as it doesn't feel right)
- if a headlight is bust, i must bust the other.
- no "reckless" driving (killing cops and peds for no reason)

EDIT:

Another one, always smash the driver-side window whenever you got in a car.

I usually smash the passenger window since I don't want Nico sitting on glass while driving.

I do the iv trinity like that aswell, same times, same days and all.  It's good when it works out, but really pisses me off if I time it right, then it starts raining or something and changes the scene, that sh*t kills your high if you're a smoker!

Other OCDs;

I do certain missions so that Nico's mood in the cutscene matches previous missions and free roam.

If Nico wants to use a large weapon, he has to retrieve it from the boot (trunk for Americans) of his car.

Change clothes daily, and have a sleeping pattern as others have said already.

I also have to pretend Nico has outgoing money for rent and stuff, since the story doesn't really match up to Nico's financial situation. When we get the safehouse in Alderney, I ignore Ray's text and pretend Nico rents the apartment himself as a spare hideout and somewhere to stash his weapons when he's west of the river. I even have different outfits and weapons in different safehouses.

I'm glad to find out that I'm not the only one who takes this sh*t way too seriously!
