Thought I would share my viewpoint on how the money works in GTA V since I don't see a lot of positive thought going for it.

To me the idea that I probably won't own every business/item/whatever makes the game more interesting. I think there are enough petty cash opportunities to have a good time (robbing weed farms, doing Maude's missions etc) that are actually quite fun to do when you compare it to say the PS2's arcade like taxi missions. I tend to appreciate and enjoy new upgrades/weapons and ammo for my shootouts when I know the money is scarce.

As for the bigger properties, I think it sorta encourages multiple playthroughs that give you a different pace of the game, a different experience. I think if you play the Bawsaq market well and couple it with online playtime to stall the game at slow points in the story, you can make quite an experience out of the whole package. Once you start using all 4 characters in this way, I think it works pretty damn well.

Just my thoughts.

I spend it on ammo and hospital bills, that's mostly all I spend it on. Now if the cars you buy online actually stay at your safehouse, stay with you permanently and don't disappear when you just keep them parked somewhere, and the list is upgraded regularly like in Online, then I would be buying a lot of cars online. And even then, it's kind of a null point in a video game called "Grand Theft Auto".

Money goes towards cars, ammo, armor, and planes for me. And hospital bills... lots and lots of hospital bills. It is much better used than in GTA IV, where i had over 3 million saved up and anything to spend it on

How much were hospital bills in GTA 4? I know it took out money, but it didn't say how much money it took out.

As I recall it took 10% of your money.

Giving the stocks trick and you having billions at the end, you can buy all the planes you want and still be smelly rich.

What would make up for this is being able to interact with the businesses you buy, but you can't apart from doing the boring random mission they make you do every now and then.

(Which just earns you more money you're not able to spend..)

I think it's a much better system than what was in GTA IV, but it's still got its fair share of problems. There's really no point buying vehicles when there's not enough storage space.

IMO Scarface: The World Is Yours is still the best open world game when it comes to managing finances.

The game is great and personally I think that even GTA IV "stole" the wanted sytem from it, lol.

And money in GTA were always pointless (at least hundreds of millions of them).

Funny enough I popped in Scarface on my pc the other day thought I`d go oldskool, after it loads up the GFX are all messed up.A quick search later and I found out the only way to play it is to limit ur CPU`s to 1 core,f*ck that noise.

SA was the best gta for money b/c you could buy houses (w/ actual interiors, even though they were mostly copy+paste) Assets wouldn't take 10 years to brake even. Its nice they brought assets back only to have these annoying "property management" missions (if you own a biz wouldn't you hire a manager?)
